Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.
1703515 tn?1350500231 I heard that Klonopin may decrease the effectiveness of the birth control patch. Is this true? Has anyone ever taken the two together?

Avatar f tn s can decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills, but most do not. Metronidazole (Flagyl) is what is usually used to treat BV and it does not has not been shown to decrease the effectiveness of birth control pills. Because some antibiotics like rifampin used to treat tuberculosis may decrease the effectiveness of birth control some providers are just more comfortable telling people they should use an additional back up birth control method on any antibiotics.
Avatar f tn Could this be caused by the patch losing effectiveness before the week is up? Would switching to Vivelle Dot, which has a twice a week schedule, help prevent the bleeding?
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar f tn Hi. I have recently started the patch and have found a difference between effectiveness of the two brands TEVA and MYLAN. First I had Teva 12mcg/72hrs (twice) then 2X 12mcg/72 (twice) and then went to 50mcg patches on the 72hr interval, so far twice. The 25mcg patches are Mylan brand and I noticed, pretty quickly, a decrease in effectiveness. Has anyone else? My pharmacy says I can specify... otherwise the script will be filled with Mylan.
Avatar f tn There is the implantation devices, patch, shot, nuvaring. All of these can be obtained at your local planned parenthood or from your doctor. They can explain the effectiveness of each.
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar m tn Told doc and she decided to put me on 7 day patch called butrans which is a 7 day patch of buprinorphine,Even though she knew that bupe is only half agonist and i was still on 10-20 mgs a day of methadone I was told by her and pharmacist that i wouldnt have trouble w precipitated withdrawals but after researching dozens of sites I found out it is not ok to switch to half aganonist after being on full while still having methadone in my system as the bupe will knock any remaining methadone off my
9258244 tn?1402972453 your comment wasn't there when i typed my comment. i assume by 'flat one' you mean the mylan patch. we cannot give taper advice, but if you search this site for fentanyl taper or getting off fentanyl then you will find old posts that do share taper advice.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
8170270 tn?1413845335 Hello, I was wondering if anyone here has had an ETV following decompression surgery for Chiari. I currently have an obstructed csf flow and the recommended course of action is the surgery. I'd love to get as much info as possible, general experience, recovery, effectiveness. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
Avatar n tn She has had surgery for Strabismus (when she was 9 months) and we have to patch her strong eye 4 hours a day. Weekly, she has PT, OT and Speech therapy. She makes great eye contact, but we can't figure out what she actually understands. At this point, she is making sounds, but nothing seem purposeful. She is about a year behind with regard to purposful play, appropriate interaction, and language. Our main concern at this point is her agressive behavior.
Avatar f tn I started the patch yesterday n now feel really weird is this a usual side effect, still in considerable pain too
Avatar n tn The only antibiotic that has ever been shown to interfere with birth control levels and effectiveness is a medicine called rifampin which is used to treat tuberculosis. Rifampin may also interfere with the birth control patch and vaginal ring so if you are taking it, be sure to use a back-up, non-hormonal (i.e. condom) form of birth control.
Avatar n tn Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.
Avatar f tn Hi! If you were my patient, I would advise you that your age alone protects you from pregnancy. That combined with the tubal ligation should approach 99.9% effectiveness. I wouldn't ever give 100%. If you are that concerned you could use condoms as well, but really don't need to . Good luck!

Avatar f tn The birth control pill is meant to be taken at the same time every single day. If you miss a pill or if you don't take them at the same time, then it lessens the effectiveness of the pill, putting you at risk for pregnancy. If you have been sexually active, then you might be pregnant. Since your period is late, go buy a home pregnancy test and take it tomorrow morning with first morning urine.
