On the other hand I have experienced that the more you clear your throat the more mucus is being produced and your throat will be very dry and sore when you keep clearing. I know, after a while you don't even notice anymore when you're clearing. I know try to swallow or drink something everytime I feel like mucus is stuck. What's the color of the mucus? Do you have a congested nose too?
Normally is it the other one who routinely eats rubber bands, drinks boiling hot water (I don't give it to her, she sits by the instant hot and drinks the drips!), and attacks even our wooden chairs. So I would expect her to have a stomach/mouth issue, but he is usually the good one. I plan to call the vet in the morning and get an appointment ASAP - but wanted ideas if anyone has them. Thanks.
When someone has CHF it actually is pretty common for the person to sweat a little more than usual since the blood vessels in the skin do not dilate as they normally would because the blood flow and 02 levels in his body are being compromised with the CHF, I would simply make a call to his doc if it is bothering him and get their take on it. And yes there are things that the doc can prescribe to treat the issue....good luck to you and happy new year......
6 COLONIC CLEANING THAT BROUGHT OUT A LOT OF THICK MUCUS LIKE , JELLY LIKE, GLUE-LIKE STUFF. When I drink or eat something cold / hot it melts this stuff on the inside of me. Then I start stinging and feeling like cold bubbles or suds all inside me. It's not just in my stomach it's all over my inside. I spit constantly sticky, white. Soft jelly-like glue -like stuff. When I cough my entire back and body gets tight.
-I take Prilosec OTC every day for my cough (well, what was a chronic cough at one point). I realized that I had GERD when I woke up one night coughing up acid a few months ago. -I also take Advil Cold & Sinus every day (3 doses total, 1 dose every 4-5 hours). Surprisingly, this has helped me a lot. The pseudoephedrine helps me with the congestion and the ibuprofen helps the irritation in my nose. This particular brand doesn't make me feel spacey either, like tylenol sinus.
It began in 1976 and re occurs every 5 to 6 years. I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out.
Hello, I have been waking up every day and coughing and having an excessive amount of mucus come out of my lungs. This just happens when I wake up. I used to be a smoker for about 5 years and now I quit. Could that still be an effect of my previous smoking? Or is it something that I need to have checked out? (Plus, I checked my blood pressure several times and the systolic seems to be a little high). Thank you.
Try to AVOID BEING NERVOUS , have one or two drinks (no more)30 minutes before a speech,AVOID COUGHING. When the mucus is fresh (the first of a new bout of the problem) , the "eehmmm" works fine, the frog comes up, but straight away the vocal chords start producing a stronger batch.....and so on.. Try to "live with the Frog in your throat, that is the only it way it will go away naturally, always drink plenty of water anyway.
Can't sleep as getting hot flushes and start coughing when I wake up. Other comments have however reassured me that I am not unique and probably not in danger of an imminent demise. Hopefully I am over the worst bit. Will try probiotics for the gut and honey for the throat. Either that or nip down to the newsagent...................
First generation antihistamines (benadryl and chlorphentamine) are the only ones that have an effect on me (which is in the Tussionex, which is sometimes the only way I can sleep when the coughing is really intense.) Smaller meals, digestive enzymes, apple cider vinegar, liver cleansing herbs, and DGL. Also helped. Here's my theory. Its acutally 3-4 separate things, creating hell on earth. 1. allergies, mold, pollen, dampness, ACs and fans, etc...
I have also had a lot of stress in my life and it's ongoing. When I am more stressed is when it happens. I do have the coughing at night and feel like the soft spot in back of throat touches the back of my tongue when I sleep.
The infections were always in my sinuses. Also had excessive mucous when not infected. FINALLY have cracked it - a wheat/gluten/SOY allergy. Have been breathing 100% since knocking them out of my diet. Have to watch out for SOY - it's slipped into jsut about everything. I had some special wheat&gluten free biscuits but still reacted due to a soy additive. best of luck and if it's a food allergy and you can crack it you'll be amazed how something so simple could cause so much misery.
About a week and a half before Christmas I developed different symptoms. Starting with a generally dumpy feeling, I then began seeing excessive mucous being produced. The phlegm ran the gamut of colors from yellow to green to brown over the course of a week and a half. During this week +, I had that "dumpy" feeling and developed a cough (particularly bad at night) trying to expel all the mucous. There was no sore throat at all and I didn't seem to be feverish.
a few days later when i wasn't having as many i realised that he was right. i know its difficult not to worry when its happening to you, i'm the biggest worrier ever, but if your heart echo and other tests say you're fine then YOU'RE FINE! are you on any meds for the pvcs? i am not and i think that is part of the problem i am looking to start a beta blocker soon and hopefully that will help.
seeing a bright flash, like the afterimage of a flash bulb, when we blink, and sometimes, on upgaze. This is transient symptom for most of us, lasting anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. When the "spot" in our visual field passes over a dark background, the spot appears light. When the spot passes over a light background, it appears dark. So far, the doctors haven't been able to diagnose us, and perhaps that means it is simply some idiopathic phenomenon.

Basically I collapsed a while back, woke up in hospital, days later I got this permanent dizzy/drunk sensation, attacks of hypoglycaemia which I assumed to be panic attacks, then got tense muscles, excessive sweating from my head when walking, poor cognitive abilities and the worst migraines I have ever experienced. Months passed, I was on beta blockers, my symptoms improved, both the GP and I thought it was anxiety. I then got worse.
I just had another endo appt and the same nodule has grown to a 50 cent piece size and I now have 5 nodules. I have had trouble with hot flashes, excessive sweating and coughing and choking. I am extremely tired and can hardley make it through the day. I am meeting with a surgeon for a biopsy on August 20th. I was wondering if you could give me some basic questions that I should ask. What is the difference between a nodule and a tumor? I also have an excessive of nodules in my breasts.
Typically this is worse at night when you lay down to sleep. Generally this irritation feels the worst when you wake up and gets better as the day goes on. The fat content in dairy products can thicken mucus. Generally eating dairy products with less fat content is helpful. Drinking plenty of water will help to thin the mucus so that it moves more easily. As long as you are not on a fluid restriction you should be drinking 6 to 8 8-ounce glasses of non-caffeine non-alcoholic fluid daily.
I was told by my specialist that I have to live with daily symptoms as they are not considered detrimental as I am on the highest inhaled steroid dose allowed over a long term basis. It's hard as most days I spend my mornings coughing up all of the excess mucous in my lungs that have accumulated over night. Then there are days of asthma symptoms on top of that. I was told to just keep taking reliever medicine, such as my Oxeze to relieve symptoms.
I suffer with vocal cord dysfunction and any type of irritant or cold or allergy can trigger uncontrollable coughing where I cannot breathe. This was different it was so severe and immediate like a hot ball coming into my throat and not being able to catch a breathe for what would be 3 normal breathes. Unable to ask for help or anything so when it finally passed I didn't bother to call anyone. What do you think caused such a severe response?
Diarrhea bout after excessive drinking Then a couple of other times over the next few weeks the odd bout of it. Then maybe 4 weeks later I noticed a dark red small but bruise like rash on my chin This picture is the closest thing I can find as it looks a lot like the one on my chin that lasted a couple of days. http://cid.oxfordjournals.org/content/35/12/1558/F1.small.

I'd have thought you be coughing a lot if you had exceess phlegm. Could it rather be from the digestive system - bile? When you 'cough it up' are you coughing from the lungs/throat or actually vomitting from the stomache/esophagus? i used to have a post nasal drip - excess respiritory mucous - when i got up I'd have a lot of coughing and that led to vomiting acid. I also had GERD which was fixed with a op to tighten the lower esophagal sphinchter (where it meets the stomache).
Hello, Your symptoms are suggestive of chronic post nasal drip. Post-nasal drip (PND) occurs when excessive mucus is produced by the sinuses. The excess mucus accumulates in the throat or back of the nose. It can be caused by rhinitis, sinusitis, or laryngopharyngeal acid reflux. It can be enhanced or sometimes even caused by allergies. Pls check out with an ENT specialist if you are having chronic rhinitis or sinusitis.
These are all symptoms of viral infections which were responsible for your cold or can be due to post nasal drip due to the viral infections[causing rhinitis(cold)or sinusitis] being lingering on . Now my lungs are doing something weird, when i move my shoulders and chest, from side to side, air is pushed out of my lungs, and it hurts very bad. Now i just discovered this a couple weeks ago while working out, Everytime my chest would mov air would be forced really hard out, and this sharp pain would come. If i move to the side to many times in a row, i couldnt breath air would be sucked in, the pushed out, from side to side. I wasnt letting air come out, it was being forced out.
