If you have protein in your urine but your blood pressure is normal, your sample will be sent to the lab for a culture to see whether you have a UTI.

However, although they are located in the same section of the grocery store, eggs are not dairy.
Avatar n tn Protein is perfectly safe, and is very good for adding muscle, if not used in excess. 178698 tn?1228774338 I have had protein in my urine since I was in my early 20s. It's never been at a high enough level for the MDs to get overly concerned. I've had testing on my kidneys and everything, and they can't find anything wrong. As far as pregnancy goes, I've also had it in my urine during this pregnancy, but not at a high level. I have had to do 24-hour urine collections a couple of times so he could check kidney function but, other than that, no big deal.

An eye with a strabismus will show excess sclera (white of the eye), and the pupil will appear to be slanted abnormally. Avatar f tn Where exactly is the lump. I'm confused a bit. If the original "birthmark" was on the white of the eye, why did she get two different colored eyes (implying pigment was on the iris). Is the lump within the brown pigment on the white of the eye now? In either case, it's a good idea to see the ophthalmologist as that is the only way to get the right diagnosis. Let me know what the dr says and I'll be happy to discuss what that may mean.
Avatar n tn Hello, Keratosis pilaris occurs when the human body produces excess keratin, a natural protein in the skin. The excess keratin, which is cream colored, surrounds and entraps the hair follicles in the pore. This causes the formation of hard plugs (process known as hyperkeratinization). I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar f tn Hi, My daughter, who is 34 years of age has been told by her optician that she has excess fluid behind the eye and that the reading was quite high compared to what it should be. There is no history of Glaucoma in either side of the family. She is feeling quite panicked about this, especially at such a young age. Does this mean she is greatly at risk, and is there anything she can do to improve it apart from getting it monitored? Does she run the risk of blindness?
