I love the pregnancy pilates it has helped with my back ache and the fatigue, and I just feel great! their are classes on youtube the same one that you can buy on dvd! so you can do it for free, she is a physyo therapist and its great! the yoga I found kinda boring and didnt feel too much of a difference! but thats just my spin on it! but I would def recommend the pilates to anyone expecting!

Also, I forgot to include that studying meant I was sitting in a chair all day and a lot of the time I was leaning forward with my back hunched.

Yoga will help you build core strength and improve your flexibility (and can really make you sweat!), whereas plyometrics is a bit higher impact, and involves taking steps, doing lunges, and even jumping around. Both are a lot of fun and are available in exercise DVD's that you can find online. Take care!

Swimming, pilates, yoga, weight lifting, elliptical machines, baseball, tennis, basketball are just some examples of activities that work the arms hard. Do it enough and you'll get toned, assuming you eat a diet that doesn't metabolize quickly into fat and just makes the problem continue.

Most non starchy veggies have so few calories that they are considered "free", meaning you can eat all you want, without adding unwanted calories. Just don't load them down with cream or cheese sauces, etc. Eat plenty of lean protein, either in the form of lean meats, chicken, fish, eggs, etc. Opt for low fat dairy, including milk, yogurt, cheese.
Avatar m tn I need some exercises specifically for targeting the support structures in the area of L1/L2. Note that I am reasonably fit. Can swim a kilometer, and do so regularly. Can't run/jog because of my back, and also the knees are a bit worn from working as an electrician in a steel plant for 28 years. Have a few free weights, a combination machine, and stationary bike.
