Is there any drug interaction between these two drugs ? I am taking Evista for Osteoporosis.

Could my recurrence of Ovarian cancer be attributed to my taking Evista for a year? I had ovarian cancer 15 years ago and after surgery and chemo, and a "second look" surgery with multiple biopsies was considered cured.I had a complete hysterectomy and the cancer seemed to be contained in my left ovary. Last winter I found a lump in my left groin which was biopsied and diagnosed as ovarian malignancy.

He said that I am at high risk for bc (despite breastfeeding and full-term pregnancies before age 30 and onset of menstruation at age 13 and menopause at 52 and healthy weight, etc.) and that going forward I should be tested every six months with MRI and mammogram, alternately. He also said an oncologist would later discuss prophylactic treatment with tamoxifen or evista (I have osteopenia, and he said evista can be beneficial for that). I am very frightened and anxious.

any one have any new news any one lost weight so far??????? I have to be honest.I feel in a depression and gained 7lbs. TTC is so depressing to me and doesnt do anything but cause me stress. what about u ladies?

congrats!! :) twins are amazing..I'm 23 weeks with twin boys. i didn't gain weight in the first trimester so it was hard to tell. first ultrasound they saw both babies and even heard both heartbeats at 6 weeks :)) Good luck..

Has anyone heard of taking Tamoxifen or Evista as a possible step in breast cancer prevention? My doctor has suggested it because I'm in a high risk category. I'm not sure what to do.

he said I am cancer free right now, but a high risk of getting breast cancer so he is recommending this medication Evista. He said Evista was better then the tomoxafin because it causes less blood clots. Is this true? I haven't started any meds yet, since IM going to get a second opinon first to see what is the best course of medication for me to take.Of course there are side effects now what medication doesn't have any side effects right.

My doctor said all the weight you gain before 20 weeks is all you. All the weight u gain after is all baby. That's if you are still eating healthy and staying on track! So that was good news because I didn't start gaining till 21 weeks and then it really started coming on!

Typically, weight loss or inability to gain weight is a symptom of hyper, and weight gain or inability to lose weight is a symptom of hypo. Are you having a hard time losing weight now while hyper?

My concern is that once I get my ovaries removed, (within the next few months hopefully) and I go through instant menopause, I will gain even more weight. So im 33 weeks 4 days and my son wont gain any weight. Hes Only 2lbs 4 oz and thats way too small for his digestional stage. I dont know what to do anymore. I eat lika cow. I take prenatals regualarly. I HAVENT GAINED ANYTHING DURING THIS WHOLE ENTIRE PREGNANCY. Only lost. He Apparantly isnt gainin correctly. Hi, I'm ok, but I think about this every day since I found out. It bothers me more than I thought it would. I have no known family history, but my mother died at 60 from complications from uterine cancer. I am post menopausal. When I was 49 my husband died and my periods just stopped suddenly and I had only hot flashes. But they were often and I would get drenched at work. So I took Prempro. I never stopped taking it because every time I tried the flashes came back.

SSRIs imo do have a rep for weight gain, although they can vary from each person. I took Paxil and gained weight. And to this day I won't take any more SSRIs. I tried other SSRIs as well just to be sure and not be biased. I been reliant on Klonopin for years now. No more issues with Weight Gain.

How long should a woman stay on Evista if no negative side affects?

ve been on just about every antidepressant on the market for the past 20 years and miraculously none of them made me gain weight...until Pristiq. I gained 10 pounds on it—not a ton of weight but I'm short so it really shows. I'm now in the process of going off it. My question is this: Have people been able to lose weight after discontinuing an antidepressant that made them gain? I'm worried this drug has permanently messed with my metabolism.

Haha I'm about to make all of you ladies feel awesome about your weight gain...drum roll...I am between 35 and 36 weeks and I have gained 73lbs. I am not quite 5'2 and started out at 114lbs. This is my 5th baby and this is the most I've gained in any of my pregnancies...however I gained between 40 and 55lbs with my others as well.

I am sure i will probaby gain for a few more weeks and than slow down or stop altogether. The nice news is that 5 pounds of my weight gain is baby right now and when you add in the placenta and everything else it doesn't seem so bad.
