he said I am cancer free right now, but a high risk of getting breast cancer so he is recommending this medication Evista. Of course there are side effects now what medication doesn't have any side effects right.Has anyone taken this medication of Evista an had bad side effects or has seen great results in preventing getting breast cancer? My prayers go out to all of you going threw treatment right now or who were just diagnosed.
s dopamine structure and that i will never be happy again or feel as good as before i began the drug use. can anybody tell me what some of the long-term effects maybe and weather i will be able to fully recover. i dont know if these are possible long term effects of the drugs or something else. everyone keeps saying im having anxiety attacks but these feelings come when i am calm and seem very serious. if anyone has any advice on whats going on ,whether drug related or not,, or any advice on good doctors to go to PLEASE let me know immediatly.
BUT, I have to take it or I am in pain. So try not to worry so much about the long term effects when you are trying to survive today.
If you are worried about this I would talk to my doctor and let them know what you are experiencing and there may be something they can do differently. Just dont stop any seizure med without a doctors help.

Thank you so much for your response. Osteoporosis is a horrible disease, but many of the treatments have side effects which are even worse. It's not that I don't trust doctors, but they rely on information supplied by drug companies who are out to make a profit. And the long-term effects of some of the drugs used for treatment aren't even known yet. I'm still undecided about taking Evista.
Is there any drug interaction between these two drugs ? I am taking Evista for Osteoporosis.
Could my recurrence of Ovarian cancer be attributed to my taking Evista for a year? I had ovarian cancer 15 years ago and after surgery and chemo, and a "second look" surgery with multiple biopsies was considered cured.I had a complete hysterectomy and the cancer seemed to be contained in my left ovary. Last winter I found a lump in my left groin which was biopsied and diagnosed as ovarian malignancy.
dont be too scared as said above few people experience sides but one thing is for sure long term use for decades is not healthy and only cirrhosis or severe damaged liver can justify such use so i'd definitely combo with other therapies so that nucs can be used short term

I was diagnosed at an accredited breast center this week with scattered microcalifications that when biopsied (core needle) were said to be ALH. I met with a surgeon this morning who entered my data in a model and put my risk for bc at 30 percent now (my mother had bc, both ductal and lobular, in her 80s; I am 57). The next step is an MRI on Monday to ensure that when he does the anticipated excision he would not miss something more important.

I'm recovering from an abscessed tooth. Mine developed 3 weeks ago and 2 days lator I had to have an Endodonist drain it on an emergency basis because the swelling was already moving up to my eye. I was told to get the tooth extracted because of my medical condition (Type 1 Diabetic). After I got it drained my dentist put me on 4,000mg of Amoxicillin a day becasue I had to get rid of the infection and the swelling had to continue to go down before he extracted the tooth.
My question that has been difficult to find an answer to, relates to long term effects. I have not been able to find at least an approximate length of time or dosages that can lead to eventual liver cancer in the future. I am currently 26 years old, in relatively good shape physically, do not drink or have any other vices that may exacerbate the vicodin effects on my liver, but am still concerned.
Though I am not addicted and have not used the drug in two years, I am worried about the damage I sustained during this one year period when I would abuse the drug, infrequently, but heavily nonetheless. If anyone has information about long-term effects for short-term, heavy abuse of Robitussin (8 instances of over-dosing on 40 gel-cap pills per instance) I'd love to hear it.
