Avatar f tn it does help you sleep... reduces or takes away completely any nightmares you may have... but be careful when taking it - that first 20 minutes you could fall or injure yourself if you aren't sitting down... and DO NOT drive or operate machinery on that medication... it is very strong. also possible weight gain with continued use... I am not a doctor, but ai have been on Seroquel on and off for about 5 yrs...

Avatar f tn which I still believe is an option because of sleep issues since I was 12 including the nightmares and sleep paralysis, but my sleep study say I am extrmely tired but REM is normal. I am bipolar and take Lithium 450 two times a day since I was 22 and with in normal limits. I now take Paxil 40 mg which reduces these episodes to almost 0 if I take it regularly and on time.
