There is even something they call estrogen dominance and it is absolutely associated with frequent yeast infections. They may try to stabilize your hormones or get them in a little better balance.
At this point I feel I am going back and forth between yeast infections and low estrogen symptoms. Needless to say I am losing my mind and am in agony.
Any suggestions? OR home remedies? Baths? Anything would help.
An acidifier is normally to maintain the correct acid balance in the vagina which helps to avoid bacterial vaginal infections as well as yeast infections... however, from personal experience I have had far fewer infections now that I have been using estrogen cream. You need a Dr to prescribe estrogen cream.
If you are not happy with your pessary look at others that are available. Your GP and even Urogynes dont always know much about the full range of pessaries available.
t unbearable itching and I had no discharge. Fast forward to now, I have had to cure 3 yeast infections with diflucan so far and they keep coming back. So, I'm starting to think it's my birth control. I switched pills about a year ago now to Reclipsen and now Enskyce because they changed the manufacturer. This has a fairly high does of estrogen because I suffered breakthrough bleeding on every other pill I've taken, but I noticed that once my bleeding stopped, the itching started.
All of a sudden this started, its not real bad or anything but I have had yeast infections before so I know the symptoms of it and how it starts. Just wondering if it is common....
They should be able to tell you very easily if you have yeast or not. The hallmark sign of yeast infections is itching. Bad itching. just being dry is not as much a sign--- that can be hormonal (vaginal dryness is common as we age due to less estrogen). So, you've taken the pill (diflucan?)-- hopefully that will work. If not, see your doctor.
Apparently I can consistently getting yeast infections due to hormonam imbalance. I'm afraid to overdose on the fluconazole. Is there a natural way of getting rid of it? I'm thinking cranberry juice but should I drink it once in a while or is there another alternative. Because I have to avoid sugar in order to fix my hormonal imbalance.

try besides the cream the actual suppostory that goes inside you, this should help ,, also with some women me included alot of yeast can be caused by eating bread, foods that have yeast in them will also cause yeast infections,, so i know for myself i have to watch what i eat as to how much yeast products i eat.. makes a big difference.. but its best to see a doctor just to be on the safe side..
I am 22 years old and have been dealing with on an off yeast infections for over a year. It all started out last March I got my first yeast infection and UTI at the same time from a Marathon, mind you I was a virgin at the time so it was not from sex. Following that I continued to get them on and off, after meeting my boyfriend and now being sexually active I get yeast infection every week. I get the symptoms for a couple of days and then they go away and come back a couple of days later.
I am 26 and have had dryness pretty much my whole life but it seems to get progessively worse. I get probably around 3 infections a month whether it be yeast or bacterial or urinal. I am wondering if any of these symptoms are in correlation with each other. I am also wondering if i could benefit from vaginal estrogen therapy, even at the age of 26.
How old are you? This is an old post, so don't know if the person is still around, but there are many reasons for a woman not getting moist. In this case, the woman had never had sex yet, so she had no idea if she did have it if she would have responded by releasing vaginal secretions. I'm guessing she did. But as stated above, yeast infections can cause dryness. So can thyroid problems. So can hormonal problems.
Has anyone had multiple yeast/BV infections? I've had 3 so far and I think I'm having another! I'm going to ob tomorrow and I'm sure I'll get some meds. It's frustrating. Anyone Else?!?! Please help.
I was having servere pain in my middle back in the right side so at 1 am on the 5th I went to the er at that point was 22 weeks and 4 days they admitted me into labor and delivery where they found out the pain was due to a kidney infection they kept me on an IV with antibiotics until I was discharged this morning they sent me home with more antibiotics to take to finish fighting the infection but since I got home this morning my vagina has been kinda itchy when I itch it it hurts could that be a
Monistat works like a charm for yeast infections! That's what my doctor told me I could take. Just over the counter. He recommended the 7-day treatment. Baby is protected by the bubble she's in, so the medication does not get to him/her. Perfectly safe! Unless as previously said, you have any other complications. I would talk to your doctor before you do anything. And like they said, anti biotics are needed for a bacterial infection. Good luck!
Since having skin to skin contact (Penis to vagina, no penetration) oral sex and anal sex all without a condom about 6 separate times in October 2011, I have been having recurrent yeast infections, followed by UTI's. The swabs almost always come back negative for yeast, but the Dr.'s convinced its yeast, then I end up returning with a UTI ( I've had probably 5 yeast infections and 4 UTI's in a year). A couple of the UTI's have not tested positive either.
I'm 36 weeks pregnant. I gotten alot of yeast infections during my pregnancy. probably around 4 , Ive just got treated for one but I believe I got another again.

As far as your low sex drive, have you had any labwork done ? I think you should ask your OB/GYN to do hormone testing. Also... do you have painful intercourse because of vaginal dryness ?
It isn`t a yeast infection.It is menopause related,I am sure.I am just not sure if it will heal on it`s own.I am using a cortisone cream 2x a day.I was given the prescription a year ago and I used it for 3 months.It helped with the dryness,itchiness and thinning of the skin in the area.I was not dealing with an open lesion though.
