Avatar f tn My doctor told me it was due to estrogen withdrawal because your hormones become way less present around that time.
Avatar f tn Estrogen can give quite a headache, and estrogen levels increase a lot during pregnancy -- try vitamin B 100 and magnesium (be sure to take the magnesium only a half pill at a time or it can give you stomach cramps and the runs).
Avatar m tn m not a doctor and I have no experience with medicine, but from what I have researched online about the hormones that control your menstrual cycle, and from my experience taking birth control, you could be having symptoms of estrogen dominance as withdrawal from taking birth control. It is easy enough from the North American diet for the body to produce more estrogen than it does progesterone. Both of these hormones need to be in your body for you to get your period.

However, there are some people that only obtain relief from infrequent use of opioids for their headaches. You may be one of these people.
1200613 tn?1265341246 Four days ago I had a headache, started feeling slightly dizzy, noticed my hands were shaking, and felt a weak bought of nausea. These symptoms have not subsided. The shaky hands symptom has lessened but the nausea has gotten worse. I am also very very tired but figured that was from the barrometer dropping and it raining so much. (which would not be the cause of the others) I have no appitite and food seems to make this worse.
Avatar f tn Hello~Your hormones (estrogen and progesterone) could be out of balance, as could your thyroid. If possible, I would see your doctor and have him/her run some tests to see if you have a low/high thyroid and what your estrogen/progesterone levels are. Also, if you are under an abnormal amount of stress, you may have issues like this.

Avatar f tn she said the reason why she put me on birth control instead of regular estrogen is because i havent had a period in a year and she wants the withdrawal bleed. she said that with estrogen I will eventually have a withdrawal bleed but it will not induce it. She said if she were to put me on estrogen I would have to take progesterone simultaneously. So I guess i will finish the last patch that i am wearing i take it off on Monday and hopefully i will have the withdrawal bleed.
Avatar f tn I asked my new psychiatrist today as to how long does it take for the withdrawal effect to go away and he was very vague something like he did not know probably a week, which is of no help. Should I get another psychiatrist? I wonder. If anyone out there knows, it would help me a great deal as I have so many other health issues right now to deal with. It has been four nights and I still have insomnia and feeling so anxious.

His docs say that since the tumor is not a "secreting " tumor, that there is nothing that they can do except give him Testosterone shots every two weeks. Once a year they do an MRI, but he feels sick all the time. Should we ask for them to take the tumor out? Thanks!
266539 tn?1281402152 t know brands but I took it while I was breastfeeding because estrogen can affect milk supply. It has a slightly higher failure rate than the estrogen/progesterone pill, but is still highly effective if taken at the same time every day. Condoms are another option.
Avatar n tn If they are migranes your estrogen gone and that does trigger headaches in some women. Bio identicals in my opinion and most on here are the best...I like Vivelle its an estrogen patch you apply below the belly button on pelvis and change 2 or 3 times per week according to drs advise..I did not have any blood test for this its not necessary if your ovaries are gone you have no estrogen,.
Avatar f tn I do not understand why this would work if it will not stop my estrogen production. The estrogen obviously will still be produced. I have felt really great the past month until I started bleeding a week ago and now I just feel drained again and kind of depressed. What should I do and how can I stop the extra production of estrogen?
Avatar n tn My weight is stable, I do experience periods of extreme fatique, I wake with swollen eyelids every morning, I have short but very painful headaches and seem to be a little more forgetful than usual, experience breast tenderness and pain off and on more lately. I use an estrogen patch due to a total hysterectomy many years ago. Otherwise I am fit and normal weight/height ratio. Thank you for your advice.
Avatar f tn Headaches in women, particularly migraines, have been related to changes in the levels of the female hormone estrogen during a woman's menstrual cycle. Estrogen levels drop immediately before the start of the menstrual flow. Premenstrual migraines regularly occur during or after the time when the female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, decrease to their lowest levels.
