Avatar m tn i have discontinued the T3. Quite honestly I don't want to give up on the hormones but it's not looking good. I don't feel well. I asked my gyno if I could cut down on the dosage of the estridol. She said that was fine. The doctor that's helping me with the hormones isn't the same doctor that's monitoring my thyroid. I'm sort of searching for a new thyroid doctor.
Avatar f tn I was about to start my fourth month of clomid tonight but just got my blood test results back. The nurse told me that my estrogen levels are a bit too high and that I should NOT take my clomid this month. Today is my cd 5 and my estrogen level is 162. Can anyone help me to understand what this means and why can I not do clomid this cycle? I am trying to conceive my first child and am very confused.
Avatar f tn Hey! My blood tests show that my testosterone is too high, though I don't know what is causing this. My doc wanted to say it is pcos but my estrogen levels are ok. And I'm very thin. Although I am breaking out from sugar and too much processed food, so maybe it has something to do with insulin intolerance? No one in my family has this problem. So what should I do, which doctor to turn to?
Avatar f tn i think they wouldhelp my mood im on 2 antidepressants and xanax for anxiety....i have sexual problems too which i never used to have..
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
1052633 tn?1311872678 it was my estrogen levels that are high. so what i was wondering was if anybody knew if by me having high estrogen levels, is that going to be an issue for the IVF procedure? i dont know if that's going to affect my ability to have a successful IVF procedure. has anybody else been diagnosed with high estrogen but had a successful IVF?
419990 tn?1228259126 Hi all! I have a son, 3 years, born from my first cycle of IUI - natural - no drugs. A 12 month old daughter, born from IUI using 75 - 100iu of puregon. Am now trying for third child. My first cycle using 75iu of puregon was cancelled last June, as I produced too many large follicles (about six large ones, 16mm to 26mm) and clinic was worried I would have high order mulitples. I've just turned 37 years old. I'm now on my second cycle, this time started on 50iu of puregon.
429647 tn?1249753429 scary, because can it be cancer, who knows....a 3 surgery carries very high risks....I too was told it was safe to be on HRT, well, as soon as they discovered the cyst, I was taken off of estrogen, including not allowed to take the OTC because they "mimic" estrogen. The doctros strongly believe that the estrogen fed the ovarian remants causing the cyst to grow. There is a poster, she too was on HRT...
Avatar f tn I am high risk for bp because birth control with estrogen gives me high bp but without the estrogen I am fine
15522385 tn?1441143430 Has anyone else suffered from high Prolactin and if so, did your estrogen levels return to normal with treatment? Did you begin to ovulate again? Anything I should be aware of through the diagnostic process? My biggest fear is that I will never have children. Something, the only thing, that I have always known I wanted in life. If anyone has undergone treatment for elevated prolactin and then later conceived, I would love to hear your story as well!
Avatar f tn They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it. But all this time I've been on a diet and I have been eating all of that. Does not explain why it is still high. What is a normal estrogen level. And what can I do to lower it? I have been eating less carbs, no sugar.
Avatar f tn new blood test - 8 days later shows a perfectly normal, LOW estrogen level of 15. My doctor is stumped. She says a high of 2376 is UNHEARD OF! And it would be IMPOSSIBLE to come down to 15 within 8 days!!! She is having her lab investigate what may have happened with my blood tests!! ????? In the mean time, she is prescribing a new bio-identical hormone treatment that will fit with my NEWEST blood work and symptoms. Hope it works!
Avatar n tn Does this mean it could be caused from ovarian cancer or are my labs just out of whack because of estradiol dose being too high??
126702 tn?1240888250 I have been triggered at 16mm due to high estrogen. Mature follicles usually have between 150-200 estrogen level and some can be mature at 14mm. They are supposed to grow between 1&2mm a day so you should have a 16mm. Make sure you ask the doctors why they are doing things, because if you dont and you dont get pregnant, then you will think they triggered you too early. This is a hard enough process without feeling your doctors are not giving you appropriate care.
Avatar f tn High levels of estrogen cause unexplained weight gain and feeling fatigued or lethargic. Low thyroid hormone is a consideration since there is family history of thyroid disease but high estrogen is a more likely cause in my opinion. A good article on high estrogen is "High Estrogen Overload Symptoms. Dangers Every Woman Should Be Aware Of" from the Healthy You Naturally website. An excerpt....
Avatar n tn t I have low levels of estrogen, but I have endometriosis? Where is the estrogen coming from and can I have high levels of FSH/LH at midcycle when I ovulate? Can cysts produce hormone? After the miscarriage the doctor removed the large cyst from my ovary and told me he found endometriosis. I never knew I had that disease and I don't suffer ANY problems from it unless it is the cause of my cysts and irregular periods???
Avatar f tn I have a 21 yr male who has low testosterone levels and high estrogen levels. He has gynecomastitis, overweight, depressed, and insomnia. Any advice on treatment option!
Avatar m tn Lab results are frustrating, aren't they? I swear doctors should not give them to you until they can sit down with you and go over them. What I know is that in your teens, estrogen is low and testosterone is high. As we get older, our estrogen level increases. That's normal. A lot of times as our estrogen level gets higher, our testosterone level gets lower. This equates a bit to the old cliché about sex drive in men, being crazy in the teens and less so as we get old.
Avatar m tn This is just my amateur 2 cents worth (I am not a doctor) I think having too little estrogen can mess up your sex drive just as too little testosterone can. If you have too much or too little this is where the problems seem to be.
Avatar f tn 1 (according to more naturopath MDs) and that is what I strive for, but definitely get many of the symptoms you list above when my estrogen gets too high. Saw 3 traditional OBGYNs + 2 internists who were of no help to me and their primary solution was BCP then finally got relief from a preventative medicine MD. Might also try an anti-aging MD since they seem from my experience they tend to address hormone imbalance much differently than traditional GYN.
1343178 tn?1276214390 Hello I have a few thoughts on your first question. Would it be positive? I need more information. Are you talking about getting off Premarin? The few symptoms you explain could result in hyperthyroidism and ys the fatigue can be associated there too. In true hyperthyroidism you're reeved up uncontrollably and then crash. Sometimes each day sometimes everyother. Sometimes once a week for examples. It all depends on when your brain finally shuts off and says enough.
