estrogen test

I have already ovulated last week according to monitor but it keeps telling me to test. When I do test it comes out low fertility. If I am pregnant would estrogen be high enough to be detected as a high value instead of a low value?

I took a saliva test to test my Estrogen levels (Estradiol) and I'm confused about the results. I'm sure its just a conversion thing but I can't seem to find any information on it. I have read that a normal Estradiol range for men is between 20 pg/ml and 40 pg/ml, however my numbers look a little different and I'm not sure how to compare.

my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.

With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.

You are at perimenopausal stage and your hormone still fluctuates a lot. One blood test does not really indicate you estrogen stays that way. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thanks to all the answers you have provided regarding my question on symptoms and test numbers. Just wondering as I said before my TSH was 1.28 and the pcp considered that normal so he did no othe testing. I also take estrogen for that total hysterectomy that I had due to the heavy periods.

My most recent bloodtest seemed to show relatively high levels of estrogen and prolactin even though they are in range. Would this cause my problems? Can someone help me please... Getting tested for these hormones is hard at best, the one main test that I feel is accurate is the saliva test, it is more dependable than the blood test as that is usually one draw and only a picture of what is going on for that second. The saliva test is done thruoghout the day, it measures different levels at different times.

No, I was off the cortef for 2 weeks prior to testing. Yes, it shows a normal rhythm, but the morning levels are WAY too low. Optimal cortisol levels for morning should be at the upper end of the range so a person has energy to get out of bed. I have no idea if I'm primary or secondary and I've never had an ACTH test. I refuse to see endos because they have no training in adrenal fatigue.

my docto did test me, and I was estrogen receptive. She did her intern at mda, but that has been a long time. However I think she keeps in touch with what they are doing. If nothing else maybe you could have your regular dr request a sample and have it run somewhere he uses.

I've also read that igg and igm levels can be high from fighting any infection.and some as serious as TB and cancer. Also can be high due to estrogen and pro estrogen allergies. Long story short, a month later my testosterone level is 615, i do have more energy and getting some morning wood now. When i saw the test results, it said my estrogen was 58. The range on the test was up to 57. Should i be worried about this?
