Avatar f tn But I have visual migraines that cause me to. E on a low estrogen kind of birth control, so it was that, pill, arm implant, or iud. I did the pill for a while, but I'm not responsible enough to take it daily at the same time.
Avatar f tn re bf-ing you should choose a progesterone only or non hormonal birth control. Iud and depo are options for this as are condoms. There are progesterone only pills but they're not as effective.
Avatar f tn Answers please experienced moms...WHICH BIRTH CONTROL WOULD YOU ALL CONSIDER THE MOST BEST AFTER YOU DELIVER YOU BABY AND MOST ACCURATE??? This my first baby and this will be my first time using birth control unsure of which one to use... PLEASE HELP THANKS LADIES!!!!
Avatar f tn I have some info on my profile about breastfeeding as a form of birth control. It's in my 'journals'. My midwife told me that estrogen free birth control is the safest while nursing. Estrogen can dry up your milk and if it doesn't, might cause issues with baby. Estrogen free versions include the paragaurd iud, the depo shot, and the 'mini pill' (progesterone only daily pill). I'd definitely decide what you want to do before baby comes!
Avatar f tn m going to have her try going on birth control pills to see if it will alleviate some of these issues. She is not sexually active and this was totally MY idea. She's very hesitant about it but wants to discuss the pros and cons with the gynocologist. I've made her an appt. for the middle of June but in the meantime I'd like to get informed since it's been years since I've been on the pill and I'm sure they are much better now.
7677085 tn?1395374075 I didn't bleed at all on the shot @MrsAliciaWeat, but I did gain about sixty pounds the six months I was on it. @kelleyrenee, does the patch have estrogen? I'm interested but I can't use an estrogen based birth control while nursing. When women say their birth control dried them up it's typically due to the estrogen, so my midwife doesn't ever offer estrogen options to her patients that breastfeed.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know what type of birth control you ladies planned on using after you delivered your babies....i pretty torn i dont know if i want to do the pills or the depo shot...
Avatar m tn m not a doctor and I have no experience with medicine, but from what I have researched online about the hormones that control your menstrual cycle, and from my experience taking birth control, you could be having symptoms of estrogen dominance as withdrawal from taking birth control. It is easy enough from the North American diet for the body to produce more estrogen than it does progesterone. Both of these hormones need to be in your body for you to get your period.
280418 tn?1306325910 This is why females with migraines should not use any estrogen containing birth control methods. They should only be resorting to the progesterone containing methods like depot Provera injections that you had used. Even the pill Yaz that you are taking contains estrogen, hence you should stop this immediately, and resort to some progesterone only preparation for birth control. Best..
1209036 tn?1299178657 MOST women do not ovulate during breastfeeding therefore they do not have a period. This is NOT fool proof becuase some women DO ovulate, I was breastfeeding my youngest daughter, did NOT get a period and ended up pregnant with my oldest son when she was 5 mos old. OOPS! As for being extra fertile after giving birth, that's dependant on numerous factors...breastfeeding, your particular fertility, how fast your body reregulates itself.
Avatar n tn suggested that she discontinue her birth control pill which contains 35 mcg. estrogen. The head aches occur during her period and the pill days, too. Is there a birth control pill that does not cause migrains? She was on the 25 mcg "low" estrogen pill, but she had an ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn Pretty mich the same as a regular pill except the no estrogen part and all pills are active, doesnt have the seven iron pills at the end of the pack. too many horror stories for me to try the iud and the shot is not reccommended for more than two years and can take a year of trying before you get pregnant again after stopping it.
7385294 tn?1412105739 Can u take birth control when breastfeeding? Like the pill needle patch.. can u do all of it still? Im not sure what i wanna take yet..
Avatar f tn Hi, my daughter was put on birth control to regulate her periods and for her acne, which was really bad. She was 17 at the time. She was put on the regular pill that everyone starts off with I believe, ortho something or other. Worked great on regulating her periods AND her acne. The nausea started shortly thereafter and the vomiting....................
Avatar f tn fixed migraines but have me daily headaches, joint pain, dryness, and terrible mood swings and back pain (I'm still going to physio. Does low oestrogen cause back spams? ? Mine hasn't let go). 2. Norimin 28: fatigue, lethargy, feelings of self loathing and anxiety. My endo did sex hormone tests but I won't see her until June and i think I'm ready to try another birth control pill. I hear sometimes it takes many tries to find the perfect one.
Avatar f tn What birth control products are you ladies considering after delivering (if you're considering)
Avatar f tn While breastfeeding my doctor gave me the pills either with low estrogen or no estrogen I can't remember and I was fine..
Avatar m tn i started taking Accutane (10 mg) on October 2, and then i started taking birth control pills on October 9 and then me and my bf had sex twice without a condom and he says he came in me in both times.. it happened in the past few days. and then i read the accutane warnings again and i noticed it says you should take birth control pills a month before going on accutane and of course i didn't do that cause i didn't know i was supposed to do that... am i likely to be pregnant?
Avatar f tn Did it work for you best (prevented pregnacy) compared to other types of birth control like pills? And when is it the best time to be on it? Few weeks or months after baby is born? I'm ftm & new to this. Need advice. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I had been late on at least two of my pills in the last week of my birth control - one twelve hours (half a day late - wednesday that week) and the other 22 hours after the time(a full day late, friday that week) I was supposed to , taking my next pill 2 hours afterward. Otherwise, i have been very regular with my pills, taking them in a two hour time frame scheduled daily.
