Avatar f tn Should my body be making enough of its own estrogen so that taking off one patch would not make the estrogen level drop??? So bummed, I just want to get good news from now on and be able to quit worrying and start enjoying being pregnant. :( Please, if anyone has experience with dropping estrogen levels/similar situation, I'd love to hear from you. Thanks.
1052633 tn?1311872678 in april of this year i was seeing a fertility specialist who had told me that my fsh levels were high for my age (32). she then had me do another blood test and again called me with bad news stating they are high and thats not good. (I plan on doing the IVF procedure because i have one tube and it's damaged with scar tissue and the one i used to have was destroyed from a very bad ectopic pregnancy. i do however have a healthy 13 yr old so i should be ok for IVF, or so i hope.
Avatar n tn hello ladies, i just had my day 3 labs done ,and come to find out that my estrogen levels are extremly low, lt was 16. my obgyn told me not to worry about this and we would try clomid. ( which i know i dont have problems ovulating. i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements?
Avatar n tn Good questions. Is your doctor talking about xenoestrogens? Those don't show up but do think that regular estrogen supplements probably do. ?? It appears that it isn't this doctors practice to check hormone levels but . . . I'm also sure that some do. This article may be helpful for you https://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/news/20030210/estrogen-affects-fertility-window. It's a balance and one your doctor would be wise to pay attention to it seems.
Avatar f tn I transferred 2 5day blasts and now I am 6dpt and have questions. At 3dpt my estrogen was 308, prog over 20, and beta 4.3. I started vivelle patch and estrogen tabs, also needed an HCG booster 1/2cc. Today, I'm 6dpt and my bloodwork results were estrogen 1623, prog over 20, and HCG 86. I know my HCG is high because of the booster but does anyone have any idea how much it would have increased?
Avatar f tn Dear Amy good question personally I am in favor of estrogen replacement , especially at your age.
15695260 tn?1549593113 Recent research has proven one risk for our children to have Autism and that is high levels of estrogen in the womb. For a very long time, the cause has been widely unknown and that this factors in is an important development in autism research. Prior studies had already implicated higher uterine concentrations of male sex hormones -- androgens -- in increasing the odds and now researchers and doctors have more information to better understand autism.
Avatar f tn ve had one mammogram about 4 years ago which I never got results for (assuming no news is good news?), my mom has hypothyroidism but my tests have come back negative, I have hypo-tension, arthritis, osteoporosis, and RSD, and I'm not on birth control. I was on the depopravara shot for 6 years in a row after my son was born but stopped about 10 years ago. My doctor FINALLY is getting my hormones tested but I don't think anything will be found.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
587083 tn?1327120262 With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. Research is not conclusive but better to be safe. As the addage goes, 'all things in moderation.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
338416 tn?1420045702 A few years back, I commented that I was going to try to get pregnant. I got off of all the drugs that weren't safe during pregnancy. This included my Baclofen and the MS drug I was taking, Betaseron. Then I got very busy, and several things happened in a year. I had an appendectomy. Then I had gall bladder surgery. Then I had a thyroidectomy! So I'm sans gall bladder, appendix, and thyroid.
3944505 tn?1348709677 Not being noisy but how old are you? Because it sounds like it can be the change of life. I had a complex cyst on my ovary removed in March just a few months ago & I know about hot flashes they are constant I have an appointment today to do a follow up for estrogen shots because I am going the change & I am 38 yrs.
1222892 tn?1312148824 I would use some kind of hormone therapy and the good news is you can use and estrogen only product. I would really start there becasue of hot flashes and night sweats. If you aren't sleeping you may have a harder time with weight. Bottom line, don't be afraid of estrogen. I would however stay away or be hesitant with over the counter hormones like Black Cohosh or Estroven etc.
691236 tn?1311199974 I am very worried bc I have NO pregnancy symptoms-I feel completely the same as always. I went for blood work 3 days post transfer and my estrogen and progesterone were right on target. I am looking for some positive stories of BFP after IVF. Thanks girls!
449498 tn?1338772039 I too am not sure what the rate of growth is but i do know that the uterine lining is created by estrogen . The more estrogen we have the thicker the lining will be. Mine was 9mm 2 days before trigger and 11mm on the day of trigger.
1545670 tn?1302258058 Estrogen? Are you sure? Estrogen is usually higher before ovulation and then progesterone is higher after. I've heard that OPKs can pick up on HCG (the pregnancy hormone), though... BUT, my RE did use to say the same thing about stopping after the first positive OPK, as continuing can easily make you confused, since some get several days of positive OPKs, while others only get one.
Avatar f tn I haven't used it myself...but it should work, since it's an estrogen supplement and estrogen is what is responsible for building the lining in the first part of your cycle :-) Best of luck!
