Avatar n tn On the other hand, the higher estrogen levels my inhibit LH (this is called negative feedback) delaying the surge. You will need to test for ovulation to find out.
Avatar f tn Had my first blood test and my progesterone is 84 and estrogen at 47. I was told estrogen is low, to increase from 1 estrogen patch to 3 and I'm freaking out wondering if this will affect the outcome of things. During the 2WW I've had mild cramps and other minimal symptoms and wonder if what I'm feeling or not is a good/bad sign. Anyone with similar numbers? Do you know if low estrogen levels affect the implantation process?? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!! Good luck to all!!
Avatar n tn I have just been prescribed vaginal estrogen cream to relieve some symptoms that I've had. (irriatated feeling, cramps, pinching feeling) Does anyone have any feedback on this cream? Kind of concerned as breast cancer runs in my family and not sure about using this cream. Has anyone tried anything more natural?
Avatar n tn Hello. I am taking Arimidex (dx May 2007, IDC, 1 cm., grade 3, negative lymph nodes; had lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy, chemo, radiation; I was 54 and perimenopausal at time of dx and chemo put me in menopause.) I also now occasionally consult a holistic MD (referred by my oncologist) for nutritional advice.
Avatar m tn I had an exposure on May 1st, did a 4th gen test and an RNA test on day 20, both came back negative. How accurate are these tests and should I expect a different result at say day 28? I realize that 3 months is where I need to get 100% but with the two negative tests at day 20 is that a good indicator?
Avatar n tn , I posted a concern on June 14th last year about weraing of braces, and HIV risk fro oral and kissing; my result came back negative. This discussion is related to HIV risk wearing braces - SCARED OUT OF MY MND.
Avatar f tn I am extremely thankful the pathology came back negative on the ovaries...but I was thinking I was over this and just needed to get used to the estrogen/progesterone replacement...now I have to stop the estrogen and deal with this uterine stuff. Probably should have just had the hysterectomy. So any feedback on what to expect from Megace would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Avatar f tn I did take a hpt before going to the lab and it was still negative. trying to keep postive and hope I am one of those women with negative HPTs but a postive beta. Will let you know the result tomorrow.
378425 tn?1305628294 Triple negative, indicates that the cancer cells tested negative for estrogen and progesterone receptors (ER- and PR-), and HER2 (HER2-). Testing negative for all three means the cancer is triple-negative. This type of breast cancer, signifies that these particular breast cancer cells lack both estrogen and progesterone receptors and do not overexpress the HER-2 protein like other breast cancers.
Avatar f tn s ability to use estrogen, while Aromatase Inhibitors reduce the amount of estrogen production in the body. Tomoxifen also carries a risk of blood clots that the others don't. If Tamoxifen didn't work, one of the others just might. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that in order to get an idea if it is working or not, you really need to give it 90 days. I'm not sure one month would be enough time to see accurate results.
7843530 tn?1395009668 I want to know what having an anovulatory cyst typically does to your estrogen levels. I'm using an ovulation microscope and I've gotten some odd readings here and there, so I'm wondering if my estrogen levels are abnormal because of the cyst my doc felt on my ovary. She said it was only a little enlarged and would probably resolve itself within a cycle, and I'm at CD 24 now, with first time full ferning this morning.
Avatar f tn I may have contracted HSV2 a few years ago but my blood tests are still coming back negative. I have rashes but no sores. My partner caught the flu shortly after we started dating and someone else I know got sick after we shared some food. Could I have infected both of them?
Avatar f tn I am extremely thankful the pathology came back negative on the ovaries...but I was thinking I was over this and just needed to get used to the estrogen/progesterone replacement...now I have to stop the estrogen and deal with this uterine ****. Probably should have just had the hysterectomy. So any feedback on what to expect from Megace?
Avatar f tn Hello,I'm new here, but like everyone else, been through hell, hoping, and looking for answers! I'm 36 and just had my first embryo transfer this past Monday, 7/13. Today, day 4 after the transfer, the doc's office called that my estrogen level from yesterday's blood work was a "little lower then we'd like it to be" 97, and progesterone 20+. He's starting my on estrace today.
Avatar f tn As follicles/eggs mature, the estrogen level rises. Estrogen levels are useful in determining the degree of egg maturity If the follicle is too small, the lining too thin, and the estrogen level too low, this is related to a condition called follicular immaturity. With follicular immaturity, the egg itself is immature when it is ovulated and will not fertilize well Q: What should estradiol (E2) level be at time of hCG trigger? A: The E2 level should be 200-600pg/ml per 18mm follicle.
Avatar f tn Estrogen-like substances, like Wild Yam cream, and eating a lot of soy? If those are too much like estrogen, I've also heard that Zoloft helps ease hot flashes.
Avatar n tn Is it common for the cancers to be estrogen positive in one breast and estrogen negative in the other
Avatar f tn Its going to be negative. Periods tend to come late it be better to wait a week. That just 48 hours ago. It be a waste to check. It common to be early cause it happen to me.
Avatar f tn A score of Estrogen Receptor positive (ER+) means that estrogen is causing your tumor to grow, and that the cancer should respond well to hormone suppression treatments. If the score is Estrogen Receptor negative (ER-), then your tumor is not driven by estrogen, and your results will need to be evaluated along with other tests, such as your HER2 status, to determine the most effective treatment. Positive vs.
458072 tn?1291415186 Hello, I am new here to this forum, and looking forward to learning all I can from you all. I would appreciate any experience and wisdom and research that you would care to share with me on this question. I have had thyroid problems, overmedicated, then reduced. Continued to have symptoms. Friend told me this could also be the beginning of peri menopause. I am 45 years young. Went to the dr, told him my last FSH from March was 18. Could this still be related as results are normal.
Avatar f tn talk about accelerated aging!!!.by the time I went back to my doctor, the estrogen level was low, cholesteral was up, and thyroid was 5.9..... Is it possible to go off the Synthroid altogether and return to my regime of natural estrogen/progesterin/ testosterone??? or if you have the thyroid problem do you have it forever??
Avatar f tn I had stage 4 endo at age 33 and the doctor said I needed a full hysterectomy which removed ovaries, uterus and cervix. The doc said it was so bad that if I don't have the surgery when I menstruate I would cough blood if it moved to my lungs. I had the surgery and have been on the estradial patch for at least 5 years. I am on .1 and .5 patch every 4 days. I am now 40 and just went to a new doc and she was shocked I was on such a high dose.
Avatar f tn So I just the emergency room and they did a pregnancy test and it came back negative. So I asked them to do a ultrasound and the the Dr Said no. My period is never late. Am I pregnant or no?? What do I do???
Avatar f tn I took a pregancy test this morning and it was negative. Am v. scared that am not pregnant. 2 questions I would love any feedback on. Is it possible that I could be pregnant even though test detected nothing....(Clinic told me my embryos would likely implant on the 23 or 24 of Nov.and I am not sure how long it would take for the HGC level to rise but think it should show something)...Shouldn't there be some level of HSG? Could this be implantation bleeding or am I losing the embryos?
