Elevated levels of estrogen in men cause them to take on more feminine characteristics. In fact, when estrogen levels in men are higher than they should be, it can bring about a whole slew of unwanted and potentially dangerous side effects. Enlarged breasts are one of the first and most noticeable side effects to appear in men when estrogen levels are elevated. This is known as gynecomastia and a few other names in the gym too.
This equates a bit to the old cliché about sex drive in men, being crazy in the teens and less so as we get old. Having higher than normal levels of estrogen though are linked to prostate cancer and heart disease. And they are probably going to want to make sure there is nothing like a tumor in your testes. There's also all those other things like enlarged breast tissue, loss of muscle mass and erectile dysfunction that can happen too if estrogen gets too out of control for a dude.
I have some very specific questions about progesterone in Men. If you're unsure what I'm asking please feel free to ask me to clarify.
I have two questions. I hope somebody can help me understand this.
1 - If I go through a period of stress, my body will produce more Cortisol than normal. Too much Cortisol leads to the depletion of Progesterone. Progesterone is needed to oppose oestrogen in men.

I would suspect by your lab results that you are quite Hyper! As both your FT4 and FT3 are OVER the top of thr ange for both. BOTH of them being SIGNIFICANTLY over.
did you take your Armour prior to the blood test?
What little I know is that too much Testosterone and it will be converted into estrogen. At least in men. I'm not sure if the same is true with females.
You have got a "Whole lot of hormones going on".
I'm not sure of the science behind it, but HPV infection can, in some cases, lead to cervical cancer among women from causing abnormal cell growth in the cervix. Being that men don't have cervixes, it doesn't really work that way for men :).
As far as the strains of HPV that can actually cause health issues beyond superficial inconveniences (i.e.

What you have could be a cyst or an infection or a benign condition called Gynecomastia,which usually occurs in teenage boys caused by hormonal imbalance and also to some men when there is a high levels of estrogen that promotes glandular tissue growth.
Gynecomastia could also be caused by taking certain prescribed medication, which could have steroid properties or the use of illicit drugs. Even alcohol can also cause the condition.
I had IVF implantation on Sunday the 3rd. Today I had blood work done at the Dr's office and my Estrogen and Progesterone levels dropped "a smidgen" according to the nurse. They are having me increase my Progesterone shots from 1cc to 1.5ccs and get an Estrogen patch. The nurse says that this doesn't mean that the procedure didn't take but I am worried. It sounds like a bad sign. My question is for other people who have had IVF. Has this happened to you?

While I am not sure, I would consider hormone imbalance as a possible reason, especially the ratio of estrogen to testosterone. Better to consult an endocrinologist and get your complete hormone levels checked. Also check up the liver health as it can affect SHBG level which in turn can upset the ratio of estrogen to testosterone.
I would not be surprised if there is a link to estrogen that might be causing this problem. We (men) are consuming too much of it in our food we must consume foods or supplement to slow down our bodies from producing it. at the same time increase our testosterone levels it makes sense doesn't it. What would we look like if our penis retracted all the way back?????

My guess is that your TESTOSTERONE levels are high. Estrogen levels are usually LOW when this occurs to my understanding. My EX wife had these conditions and became "nymphatic". She was lucky I was able to accommodate her. Some men WISH for this but believe me, it's NOT as wonderful as it sounds. Like Annie Brooke, my wife now has become all but non existent. My desires have increased and it makes for very awkward situations. I suppose you my try to tease him and tantalize him.
Hypothyroidism can cause depression and in men it can cause low testosterone levels which also can cause depression. Hypothyroidism can also cause B 12, Calcium and Vit. D deficiencies. So the answer to your question the chicken came first.
It is important that you keep taking your replacement testosterone as it can cause issues of it's own. I'm not sure about the estrogen relationship.
If your taking your meds and still feeling depressed maybe you need a adjustment in your meds.
Last year, I was on the birth control pill (Marvelon 21) to regulate my periods which I had a lack of due to low estrogen levels because of, mainly, being overweight. I have not been on the pill since July 2007.
I am just wondering, is it possible to become pregnant if I have not had my period for the past 4 to 5 months?
Also, will I have difficulty in the future to get pregnant having such irregular menstrual cycles and taking the birth control pill so excessively?
