587083 tn?1327120262 Maybe the natural things I ate, containing estrogen is the cause that I might have cancer? Also what about the underarm deodorant that contains aluminum, could this cause cancer? My mother is 93 and never had breast cancer but my sister had it last year, was operated went for 6 weeks on radiotherapy and now she is doing just fine. Please give an answer to my question.Thank you.
Avatar m tn This happens due to industrial waste, or when medications and substances like birth control end up in the water supply. Chemicals are also found in the foods we eat and products we use everyday including soaps, shampoos and face creams. Chemicals add color, improve texture, make things smell better, or last longer.
266539 tn?1281402152 There is a BC pill that is progesterone only, I don't know brands but I took it while I was breastfeeding because estrogen can affect milk supply. It has a slightly higher failure rate than the estrogen/progesterone pill, but is still highly effective if taken at the same time every day. Condoms are another option.
1194973 tn?1385503904 Haha. Something must be in the water. My only small concern is the placenta is at the bottom of my uterus, but isn't blocking the cervix. So I dunno if this is fine, or if it might be an annoyance later.
Avatar f tn This is a non-cancerous condition which results when portions of the breast gland grow abnormally large because of excessive sensitivity to estrogen (the female hormone) stimulation. Cancer usually appears as solid masses or calcified nodules, not cysts, which are fluid-containing lumps. Fibrocystic disease is not "normal", but it doesn't usually cause problems other than intermittent discomfort and pain particularly as menstruation approaches.
Avatar n tn When my estrogen level gets rather high, my FSH is low (in the range of a menstruating woman). When my estrogen is on the lower side, my FSH rises.
1194973 tn?1385503904 That being said estrogen in your body thins the uterus out, and is the hormone kicked in for AF to come, then in your luteal ohase the progesterone kicks in for O and thickens the uterine walls so baby can attach. I know many woman who's breastmilk deminishes some during that time of the month and I also know that when you O is the highest time yoru milk will or can drop some for a day or two.
7172456 tn?1403092946 Is it safe to take the contraceptive pill while breast feeding.. I want to start on it straight After I have bub but I intend on breast feeding.. Is this ok?
Avatar m tn Women who have a uterus who take HRT must take progestin or progesterone if they take estrogen in order to protect their uterine lining from the proliferative effects of estrogen. Estrogen is not associated with an increased risk of any type of cancer (except endometrial/uterine). Studies that compared estrogen-only HRT with combine HRT showed an increased risk of breast cancer for combined but NOT for estrogen-only.
Avatar f tn Lots of water and oatmeal not the instant one though and it's said that fernergreek helps as well but I found water and oatmeal worked a littler better
Avatar f tn see an endometriosis specialist because a specialist will excise all of the endo if lesions are left behind then you are not in the hands of a specialist and the best way to know this before going under the knife is to ask them how they will handle bowel endometriosis if they can't remove it or have a colon surgeon to assist then they are not specialists so move on...also endometriosis doesn't need hrt to survive...
Avatar f tn I have heard horrible things about mirena and paraguard and I got pregnant with my first son on the pill so I decided to try nexplanon and it was great I didn't notice any dip in my supply and I didnt have a period for the longest time!
10515800 tn?1419227034 Estrogen based birth control is what dries most women up. There are several estrogen free options including the "mini pill" (progesterone only rather than combination), depo provera shot, and one or two iuds.
Avatar f tn No, Canada has not had that show up in their water supply. They test their water supply to make sure it is safe. https://en.wikipedia.
Avatar f tn Yes you can. You can go on the mini pill, get an iud, and possibly the nuva ring although im not 100% on that one. I personally loved the mini pill. Its progesterone based, no estrogen so safe for bf, and i had no side affects at all with it.
136689 tn?1419580447 Hey ladies just wondering if there is anyway to increase milk supply besides pumping, I'm not feeling that full feeling anymore and blayde seems to have to suck a bit more than usual to stimulate me to let down, and i usually can get 150mls out of both breast after feeding but today could only get 50mls.
Avatar f tn Lots of water, all day. And calcium rich foods, not just cows milk. The more frequent you breastfeed, the more it will come in.
7385294 tn?1412105739 Whats that thing they put in u its like a T.. is that safe for breastfeeding? I dont see why it wouldnt be and i definitely dont wanna get pregnant again anytime soon lol!
Avatar f tn s bad enough that testosterone levels have dropped quite a bit over the decades and I expect that it has something to do with the unnatural chemicals polluting the water, food, and the rest of the environment. There's a book about it called, I believe "Our Stolen Future.
Avatar m tn Hi Docs, I woke up in the morning for work and the water supply had been shut off by the water department and so I had to use the water held in the tank on the roof of the house. I hate cold water, so I had some water boiled and then I filled a bucket up with cold water and placed the hot water in to warm it a little before beginning to bathe myself. It was only after I began brushing my teeth did I realize the water smelled really funny. It smelled like poop.
640719 tn?1277140030 no sexual activity for that time and they get into the bloodstream to give you back the Estrogen you need. Maintainance dose is one pessary every 2-3 weeks after that. I was also told I could buy synthetic estrogen at the Health Food shop but it worked out to be AU$190 for a months supply! I found the pessaries work well. I cannot take the contraceptive pill or Hormone replacement due to history of heart disease in the family and also Cancer.
7358510 tn?1427032173 Kashi has really good breakfast bars with flax in them. Drink lots of water. Oatmeal works. But like the steel cut ones.
Avatar f tn Just rest and watch your energy levels if you get lethargic it could be anemia symptoms. Drink lots of water so the blood is more diluted.
Avatar f tn To have that supply suddenly cut off is usually noticeable. I felt the difference in the hospital, even while on the pain pump. (My surgery was 20 years ago - your experience may have been different.) It may be nothing. I'd want to know.
Avatar f tn I breast fed my daughter and I always had extra to put in the fridge. I just had to pump at the time she usually had to feed and I kept producing alot of milk.
Avatar f tn I have some info on my profile about breastfeeding as a form of birth control. It's in my 'journals'. My midwife told me that estrogen free birth control is the safest while nursing. Estrogen can dry up your milk and if it doesn't, might cause issues with baby. Estrogen free versions include the paragaurd iud, the depo shot, and the 'mini pill' (progesterone only daily pill). I'd definitely decide what you want to do before baby comes!
7656727 tn?1404157447 Only bad thing about breast feeding is the soreness!!
