1267764 tn?1302436340 My doctor recommended that I continue my progesterone but he said to discontinue the estrogen, does that sound correct? Also any recommendations on diet changes?
Avatar f tn Cysts are caused from to much estrogen in the body and when you have your period you produce the hormone progesterone which balances the estrogen. Feel your breasts for lumps. If you find some don't fret they are cancerous the majority of the time but do get them checked as well. Good luck dearest.
Avatar f tn I had been reading online that it is possible to help facilitate regrowth by taking prenatal vitamins and bromelain tablets and green tea extracts as well as low dose aspirin and eating estrogen enriched foods as well, so I started taking the prenatal vitamins, the bromelain and green tea extracts and eating flax seed pumpkin seed and other estrogen rich foods. Now after just two weeks I am having spotting and am experiencing cramping.
Avatar f tn Hi. I just wanted to let you know that a natural enhancer of the uterus is raspberry-leaf tea. It aids in making the uterus healthy & strong. I've been having raspberry-tea, homemade, or from Circle K*, or restaurants/fast food/any, for many yrs, now, and my uterus is beautiful according to my Dr. Just a note on natural assistance.
Avatar f tn to reducing estrogen such as organic diets, eat more fiber, include flax seed in your diet, eat sulfuric foods (onions, garlic, leafy green vegetables) which improves liver function and can help estrogen levels be more normal, eat more broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts, eat red grapes, drink green tea, etc. I kid you not, these are ways to help normalize estrogen that people say are effective. Too much estrogen is pretty rare for menopause as you usually have the opposite.
Avatar m tn e tried estroven, doesnt work dr cant put me on hrt i still have ovaries and cancer runs in our family, im only 49 and started 3 years ago, i wake up in the middle of the night and feel like a firecracker has gone off in my body, then i get a panic attack, cant breathe. help seeing dr in morning but they just dont get it what to do driving me and my husband crazy, helpppppppppppppppp!
Avatar n tn I also read another article that said that the only symptoms that are proven to be linked to menopause are hot flashes and vaginal dryness. Some real natural remedies for these are mint (in a tea, bath, or body lotion) and some people have said that eating soy products, leafy greens, and and whole grains while cutting back on red meat and simple carbs (white bread and pasta, white rice) has worked well. And it can't hurt to eat better anyway....
695036 tn?1228405969 Caffeine increases the amount of acid in the body and interferes with the acid-base balance thus causing the body to produce more Estrogen than Progesterone. It's not only coffee ... tea, high energy drinks and chocolate are also caffeine rich. Most regular soda today is caffeine free.
1358758 tn?1390767067 also, you can try drinking Raspberry LEAF tea... it is sold in the organic section of your local grocery, it tones the uterine muscle.. there is also an old wives tale of laying on the floor with your feet up against a wall for 20 minutes a day... thinking being that the blood flow cannot reach the legs and sits in the stomach/uterine area. A lot of people do acupunture also. Hope these help?
Avatar f tn From all the bloodwork I got last year I know my estrogen levels were/are on the lower side. How can I raise estrogen levels naturally? Thanks!
1256007 tn?1320340039 it could be for sure! : ) how much estrogen did he put you on? is it taken orally or vaginally? Estrogen definately thickens the uterus...Some ladies on here do other "home remedies" too... laying on the floor with feet against the wall, or on a chair ect, for 20 min a day... thought being, blood flow cannot get to legs and sits in the stomach/uterine area. I dont know if it works... but I do it : ) Also, you could try drinking Raspberry LEAF tea.
Avatar n tn No, you don't. But giving up all dairy products is just smart. All dairy cows produce a lot of estrogen just to produce milk. Forget the fact that they are given de-wormers, antibiotics, growth hormones and such. And animal estrogen isn't a good thing. Then there comes the debate about phytoestrogens in plants. Soy for instance .... so many studies and so many different answers! Keep everything in moderation and you will do well. I actually take a drug called neurontin for hot flashes.
707744 tn?1233331306 It is true that the doctors just want it to be over 100, so that's true. When I did IVF the last time, my estrogen was only 82 so I had to take estrogen pills and I did not get pregnant which I kinda of knew beforehand. How many did you have transferred? I think those numbers sound good. What was your progesterone level the last time?
Avatar f tn Hmmm, when I brooched the subject with my Tx Doctor, she was totally against it, because she said it can cause heart-disease in women who are on it. A year before that, I had been having terrible hot-flashes, and asked my Primary Care Physician about HRT, and she had also been strictly against it.
Avatar n tn It might be hormones made in your adrenal glands. Your adrenal gland and ovaries are both responsible for hormone production, as well as other glands in your body. I have had one ovary for 10 years, and have symptoms like you describe. I'm just not the me I used to be. Doctors are not understanding. My testosterone tested low, so now I'm taking large doses of DHEA, which is an OTC precursor to testasterone and estrogen. I feel a bit better, but not much.
Avatar f tn t heard of a diet to help this but I do know that estrogen dominance can have a role in it. Google estrogen dominance and you will see some things you can do to help reduce that and some may be food related. Good luck with your recovery.
429647 tn?1249753429 only to find out that her cancer is estrogen postive and probably caused or in some part aided in the growth of her masses. This is a very touchy subject on this forum, and as much as I love and adore Mary, she and I are on opposite sides on this one. Flashes are horrid, I will agree that I have had a really tough time with them as well as the other symptoms of menopause....but, you know what....I am alive. Gather all the facts you can....best of luck.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar f tn Then I went to another gyno who said that recent studies have proved that estrogen only with uterus in tact is safer that in fact it's the progesterone that is toxic. Is anyone receiving the same advice?
Avatar f tn I had a total hysterectomy in 1997 which took care of my symptoms. The last couple of weeks I have had symptoms that feel like my endometriosis has returned. Is this possible?
Avatar f tn Thank you for your last response. I did see a dermatologist and she said the marks on my legs were sun spots. However now I have many other questions. Mt Melanoma was "in situ", which I hear is great. But now I am trying to do all I can to prevent it from coming back. I have recently read that both estrogen and vitamin C have been linked to increasing Melanoma. Is this true?
Avatar f tn this prevents the circulation to your legs and keeps the blood flow in your uterus. I have also been drinking Raspberry LEAF tea... It is suppose to help too.. .although I only drink it from 1st day of cycle until transfer date. Good luck on your transfer! I hope this one takes!! : ) SSBD!
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
