Yes, I had (past tense) breast cancer however, when my general surgeon said they removed the right breast along with the 2 lymph nodes ---the nodes were negitive so he said I was cancer free. Also, my estrogen, progrestion, and Her 2 Neu are all favorable. I may add that 3 years ago (in this same breast I had DCIS) with no rad.....
I am 42 yrs old and was diagnosed HER2 positive in June 2010. Estrogen/Progestine negative, lymph node negative, and my Genetic testing came back negative as well. No family history of BC or Uterine Cancer. I am trying to decide whether to have a Lumpectomy vs Bilateral Mastectomy. Of course there is fear in choosing the wrong way....I'm concerned with recurrence but statistically I'm seeing it's the same with either course.
Every case if different and your Plastic Surgeon is the only one who would know how long the expander needs to remain in place in your particular situation. If you aren't happy with the care you are currently receiving then by all means make an appointment with another Plastic Surgeon and get a second opinion. I would hope that you are also seeking treatment from the appropriate Specialist for your kidney problems.

Hello. I had just finished making myself some lunch, and had moved the skillet off of it's burner and turned it off. But, I ate soy meat and drank soy milk. These raise you estrogen. Also I drank bottled water in plastic. WEll laying off of these helped some , got hormone free reg milk and cut down on soy meats but it took taking Indole-3 carbinol 400 mg. a day to work. Everytime I try to quit taking this migraines return. So I know it its working. Now maybe 1 day of my period or rarely two I will have a migraine and sometimes not at all. If I do have them now they are less severe.

As far as the Fibrocystic Breast Condition, this effects nearly half of all women but in varying degrees. This often starts in the teenage years and can follow you what seems like all of your life. Now as to you decision to have bilateral mastectomies; If you have a Surgeon and Plastic Surgeon who both agree to this procedure for this reason then I see no problem. As to the healing; if you are otherwise healthy there should be no problem and if this will relieve your evidently unbearable pain .

Thank you for your last response. I did see a dermatologist and she said the marks on my legs were sun spots. However now I have many other questions. Mt Melanoma was "in situ", which I hear is great. But now I am trying to do all I can to prevent it from coming back. I have recently read that both estrogen and vitamin C have been linked to increasing Melanoma. Is this true?
One of the things that contributes to a high estrogen load is drinking soda out of plastic bottles. All those two liter (and smaller) bottles of soft drinks could be another bad guy to us.

Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen.
I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods.
I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
