Avatar f tn t take birth control (the high estrogen makes me grow precancerous lumps in my breasts). So she put me on flaxseed oil, she said it is a plant estrogen which might help with my lining. Has anyone done this?? Did it work?
340590 tn?1290952141 Hey man just thought I would let you know this last weekend was 72 degrees and nothing but sunshine out on the golf course. First time I shot in the 70's in a long time.

1258539 tn?1293840202 I take it in an estrogen form. My estrogen absorption is not doing very well. My level is now at 18. I have severe anxiety/depression/depersonalization. I went to my doctor yesterday and he said that my numbers for estrogen are low because I have so much anxiety/depression that my body is using up the estrogen where it shouldn't be. He said that if I got my anxiety/depression under control then my estorgen would go where it should. Has anyone ever heard of this?
216278 tn?1308861082 before doing anything - I have heard that Soy, as well as **** Quai have estrogen in them, but I also know that **** Quai can have significant effects on any baby in the first trimester. I would be skeptical of any info you find on the web alone. Good luck!
Avatar m tn well said....i agree totally....great post!!!!

691696 tn?1227454140 I am a 24 year old Caucasian female, I love beer and have been drinking it since i was like 20. In the past 6 months or so, every time I would drink beer, the next morning I would be miserable, not even hungover, it felt like I had a really bad cold. Completely stuffed up nose, swollen sinuses, itchy throat. Recently I did a little experiment where I drank beers all night and woke up with the weird stuffy feeling.
Avatar f tn The pill that you take in the evening contains black cohost, valarian and hops. Black cohost again is for the night sweats and the valarian and hops help you to sleep NATURALLY without hormones. It took about 4 weeks to take effect but I am noticing a difference with the hot flashes and the insomnia. Try this and see if it helps you. Good Luck!
14868695 tn?1443396776 I get that feeling once in a while especially when lying down- and for me it's def gas haha
7055678 tn?1394847153 However, since beer is made from barley and hops, the reason some women report an increase in their milk supply after drinking beer is most likely a result of these two known galactagogues as opposed to the alcohol. The alcohol itself will not help you to make more breast milk. It can potentially help you to relax and therefore aid in the let-down of your milk, but it will not cause an increase in the amount of milk you produce.
356054 tn?1218552475 oo in the morning and we had just got there. Went to the bar at the hotel had a few drinks and went outside to play in the snow. lol That was a good trip.
Avatar n tn It's common to be allergic to the barely (gluten), hops, and/or yeast in beer. If it's only beer then it's probably barely or hops. Maybe you can experiment and look for a beer made without one or the other?
356054 tn?1218552475 Hey everybody how goes it. Just wanted to ck in with everybody. I'm doing good, still clean. Still drinking some. Always been a bit of a drinker. Things are going good at the new job and everything is good at home. Had a great weekend, took the kids to the park yesterday. Our weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday. Hope everybody is doing good. I will be in and out today. This new job is really busy and longer hours so its been real hard to get on. Miss all of you.
Avatar n tn You could be allergic to one or more ingredients in beer. Some people are allergic to the hops. Some people are allergic to the alcohol. Some are allergic to the wheat and the yeast. Some are allergic to the natural and added sulfites. There may be some other ingredients that are special to lager beer. I don't know what it is off-hand, since I'm allergic to all alcoholic drinks and to sulfites. I never did like beer either.
Avatar f tn Im not sure about barley, But I do know Hops has been researched for Depression/anxiety Talking about barley made me think of beer, lol so I thought of hops.
429647 tn?1249753429 only to find out that her cancer is estrogen postive and probably caused or in some part aided in the growth of her masses. This is a very touchy subject on this forum, and as much as I love and adore Mary, she and I are on opposite sides on this one. Flashes are horrid, I will agree that I have had a really tough time with them as well as the other symptoms of menopause....but, you know what....I am alive. Gather all the facts you can....best of luck.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar f tn Then I went to another gyno who said that recent studies have proved that estrogen only with uterus in tact is safer that in fact it's the progesterone that is toxic. Is anyone receiving the same advice?
Avatar f tn Thank you for your last response. I did see a dermatologist and she said the marks on my legs were sun spots. However now I have many other questions. Mt Melanoma was "in situ", which I hear is great. But now I am trying to do all I can to prevent it from coming back. I have recently read that both estrogen and vitamin C have been linked to increasing Melanoma. Is this true?
642513 tn?1242605540 So I would just want you to be careful about both the herbs and meds you use and make sure you have medical supervision (both while in treatment and just in general since your liver is compromised already). Just my two cents.
393709 tn?1295964416 I have been having a hard time in this whole recovery thing. My husband dragged me out skiing for a few days. I woke up in the mornig and said I dont want to go. He made me. That is good. Drag yourselves out and get some fresh air. It has done wonders for me. Find something beautiful and cherrish it. I think minute by minute our emotions. a little fresh air is so good. Go swimming, for a walk, skiing, hit the treadmill.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
Avatar f tn Hops.....dang, and I was gonna fill all in on my major ****, but I'm too cheap!!
