Avatar f tn Fortunately, I am still working and performing wedding ceremonies, so I need to be presentable. Hair care has become a chore and one that leaves me in even more pain afterwards. Maybe someone could offer techniques or even products that would make this easier.
Avatar f tn hair care products because it works wonders for any hair type and will leave you with the most healthiest, bouncy and silkiest hair you've ever seen; however, the downside is that it does cost a pretty penny but worth every cent....we're worth it though :-) .
587083 tn?1327120262 With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. Research is not conclusive but better to be safe. As the addage goes, 'all things in moderation.
Avatar n tn By ingesting other estrogens, there is a theoretical concern that a person could be interfering with the therapeutic effect of reducing estrogen and, in fact, give the tumor the food it needs to grow. It is not clear, however, that the types of plant estrogens found in soy and other foods are harmful to women being treated for breast cancer. Oncologists vary in their opinions on this, but many do not restrict foods.
Avatar n tn But giving up all dairy products is just smart. All dairy cows produce a lot of estrogen just to produce milk. Forget the fact that they are given de-wormers, antibiotics, growth hormones and such. And animal estrogen isn't a good thing. Then there comes the debate about phytoestrogens in plants. Soy for instance .... so many studies and so many different answers! Keep everything in moderation and you will do well. I actually take a drug called neurontin for hot flashes.
Avatar f tn So, while our estrogen levels fall by a certain percentage, our progesterone may drop far more. That may leave us estrogen dominant and adding more products that stimulate estrogen can lead to things like a thickening of the endometrium which, over time, can lead to precancerous or even cancerous situations. Estrogen and estrogen like compounds can be stored in fat while progesterone can't (especially if we are already overweight).
Avatar f tn What are good products for hair growth and healthy hair while pregnant?
Avatar f tn If I had an ER+ tumor I would never use any Estrogen product. There are other products (not OTC) that I know many women have found quite helpful ... you might ask the Oncologist or at least the nurses in that office. I'm sure they would be more familiar with specific products. I will send you a private message with an additional comment. Regards ....
Avatar f tn What baby skin care products does our new born need? Which company products are good that available in canada.
Avatar m tn Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Treatment includes antibiotics and incision and drainage and do not touch or pick them up. Also apply warm compresses on the lump.

Avatar f tn for girls before age 11 to have a period and full pubic hair and breasts. I know about the estrogen in foods and products as a theory but still...
Avatar n tn Currently manufacturers of skin products have been trying to provide a wide array of skin care products to suit each skin type. For an individual to get the best skin care, one should follow a particular regimen of cleansing, toning , exfoliating and moisturizing. As one grows older however, exfoliation may damage the thinning skin. Cleansing and moisturizing are still essential as one ages. The use of sunscreen for the face is still a must.
Avatar f tn I was not aware of that. Thought I was being safe. Thank you. I do plan on getting it checked out but am not able to afford it at this moment.
Avatar f tn So I guess what I am saying is Anyones estrogen can be out of whack. Boy (guys have estrogen also in their body) ,girl or woman in peri-menapause. This is a natural suppliment. But, IF YOU ARE ON BIRTH CONTROL PILLS, IT WILL KILL IT, AND YOU COULD GET PREGNANT. Also if you ae on an estrogen birth control that may be what is causing you headaches.
Avatar m tn m taking 1 grain of NT, but he did prescribe the estrogen patch and testosterone and progesterone cream. My estrogen levels have improved quite rapidly, in 6 weeks I was able to cut the dose in half,(from the highest dose available) some improvement from testosterone but not worth getting too excited about it. Since I'm at almost 0 testosterone will take a while for the level to get where it needs to be. Most likely he will increase the dose in 8 weeks when I go for a check up.
548091 tn?1348947013 those suppliments shouldnt have an effect on your estrogen levels, its more likely things like soy products, plastics etc, this sight has great info www.natural-fertility-info.
1112541 tn?1286311213 Some herbal products (like soy isoflavones, red clover and some Chinese herbs) can act like estrogen in our bodies, and may not be safe for women who need to avoid estrogen. Also, there are some antidepressants that are supposed to be helpful for those of us who can't take the hormones, so that might be another option you could ask your doctor about. Take care!
Avatar n tn Did you know when you use skincare products 60% of that product absorbs into you skin kind of scary when you see some of the ingredients in some skincare products. Arbonne also has a safe baby line that is amazing as well and it lasts a long time as well another plus!
Avatar f tn Mirena does not have estrogen in it, i'm pretty sure! Are you sure he said that?
Avatar f tn m 56 and have thick shiny hair just from using this stuff. And by the way, use 1/2 of the scoop in your favorite juice. Good luck! P.S. If it works, you'll need to use it forever. As soon as you quit your hair gets dull and brittle again!
Avatar f tn I would NOT get a perm or any chemical treatment on ur hair while pregnant besides hair color in a well ventilated room. Your hair will react differently to a perm or relaxer while pregnant an you prob wont get the results you were wanting.
Avatar m tn I always had a full head of hair, very thick, don't drink or smoke, no stress or hormone changes, lineage all had hair--after 3 months of relegating to Axe pomade; 75% of my near-perfect hair has fallen out. balded. the pattern ? on all the areas where I applied the pomade over the course of 3 months my hair has died. I'm only 24.
Avatar f tn If I recall, there is a testosterone patch for women in the UK. We do not have any approved / commercial testosterone products for women here in the U.S. which is a shame. Some of the testosterone will probably convert to estrogen but you will probably need more estrogen than that. I assume you are still taking the zumenon for now?
Avatar f tn Hello, It can be due to dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis. Dandruff can cause either an overly dry scalp with itchy white flakes that may be waxy or greasy, or it can manifest as an oily scalp with scales. Seborrehic dermatitis, also called adult cradle cap is usually caused by overgrowth of Malassezia furfur. This skin disease is aggravated by sweating and humidity. I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed. Till then try medicated shampoos.
