1328473 tn?1335874467 Hi there, First of all, I'm very sorry for your loss :( :( Honestly I have never heard of that. I'm on clomid and my estrogen levels can be as low as 1500 at ovulation and this cycle as high as 3500 at ovulation. I was just told it's indicative of the amount of eggs / follicles sorry don't know where did you hear this? from your RE?
Avatar f tn I had a lot of eggs but none were getting bigger than a 6 or 7. My dr added menopur and it helped the eggs along but it was late in the cycle so i only got 2 eggs that were big enough for that IUI cycle. I got more eggs when i used clomid! My dr explained to me that basically Follistim is basically a synthetic FSH and although most women respond fine to the synthetic stuff, my body doesn't.
Avatar f tn I am new in this forun and need help. My E2 is very high 700 and FSH 2,2. Can l get pregnant naturally or must l have to go for IVF. lf IVF can l still use my own eggs. l will appreciate any advice, thank. This discussion is related to estrogen and fsh question.
Avatar m tn There are different approaches that can be tried to improve endometrial thickness, such as adding estrogen into the vagina along with the estrogen pills or patches your wife has likely been using to thicken her endometrium in the first place. If, after trying different approaches, the endometrium still does not get any thicker, then it is what it is and to my mind is thick enough that there is still a chance to get pregnant. Good luck!
Avatar n tn m sorry this IVF cycle did not turn out as planned. I am not sure what exactly happened in your case with the E2 being a bit over 200 and no eggs. I can tell you I just had an IVF case canceled because I had two lead follicles and all the rest were lagging behind because my E2 was only feeding those two follies. My E2 indicated it wasn't worth while to go thru with egg recovery. So you had the egg recovery and found there were no eggs in the follies?
Avatar f tn Hi, At 41,my estrogen level has been very low .Last year I tried IVF but it failed due to the poor eggs quality.I will try IVF again in this July so I've been taking Grofer three times a day, folic acid and soya products, fruits, salads, wheat grass juice, flex seeds in my diet to have good eggs this time around. What else should I take to Increase/enhace my estrogen level? I'll go for HCG test in June to test estrogen level. Please Advice.Thanks.
Avatar n tn They begrudgingly gave me an order for 9 days after the d3 transfer. My estrogen had dropped to a 96 by that day. A nurse from my clinic called me in a panic and told me to increase my estrogen dose to 3 times day. I'm pretty sure based on my symptoms I started to get pregnant and then I had a lot of cramping day 8 & 9 post d3 transfer....after that pregnancy symptoms were gone. After my confirmed fail, I asked the doctor if my estrogen levels were low.
1572451 tn?1299029389 So given that it is an IVF with donor eggs, getting a positive nine days after transfer (in other words 14 days from conception) means there is a pregnancy. Great news, I'm very happy for you!
Avatar n tn At age 22, you almost certainly still have hundreds of thousands of eggs in your ovaries - they just are not being released. In general, regular monthly ovulation requires that a critical % of a woman's body weight be fat - approx 20%. Thus, once you reach full recovery, you will hopefully start having regular periods again when not on the pill.
Avatar f tn I wonder if it's an external influx of estrogen. If you eat 'fortified' eggs or chicken frequently, that's a source of excess hormone. Also, excess soy in the diet can add too much estrogen to your body. While breast cancer doesn't usually present this way, it would be worth a trip to the doctor if only to ease your mind. Blessings!
Avatar f tn i think these are pretty good stats. the most i've had in all of my ivf cycle is 7 eggs, 4 fertilized and 3 implanted. it resulted in pg but m/c. so your numbers are def good. just curious... what protocol you are in? and do you know or what has your doc told you why the first cycle did not work considering you had 6 fertilized eggs. good luck!
Avatar n tn I am 10 days post IVF transfer using donor eggs. 2 days after transfer my estrogen was over 1000. 1 week after it was below 600 and 9 days after it was below 400. I am really stressing. My progesterone has gone up each time. I am taking 2 mg Estradiol 3 times per day and am now on the patches changing them every day. Any ideas? Does this mean I am not pregnant?
1493378 tn?1288707991 your E2 level should be increasing with your number of follicles maturing. at 14 days of stims you should be well over 1000 by now .... when was your last follicle check? you aren't going to ovulate for IVF. they stim you until you have as many dominant follicles (>18mm in size), trigger you with hcg to mature the eggs, and you have them retrieved surgically. for IVF they rarely cancel cycles for overstim-that's a much bigger problem with IUI.
1874149 tn?1339551701 ), I was pretty uncomfortable walking, sitting, standing, lying down...yeah, that part was not so fun. Along the way, you'll likely have several u/s to see how well you are responding to the meds and then be instructed to give yourself the "trigger shot" to jump start ovulation. Thirty six hours later you'll have the egg retrieval. I was pretty scared of this because you are knocked out, but it was over in minutes.
Avatar m tn I am 38 and hubby 57. We are using 20 year old donor. had 8 eggs retreived 7 fertilized 4 surrived to day 5 and two of them transfered on day 5. This is my fouth IVF attempt but first with donor I am so stressed out - I don't feel anything. I have not had any bleeding at all. Does embryo implantation always cause bleedin?. Today is my 5th day post 5 day transfer and I am truly scared since I have not really had any possitive signs. Please share your comments or story...
Avatar m tn I used a relatively high dose of gonal-f and menopur for the first (7 eggs, 2 embryos) and the highest dosages of gonal-f (450)and menopur (150), along with clomid and ganerelix for the last two(11 eggs, 2 embryos, cancelled and 4 eggs, 1 embryo, BFN). My peak estrogen level was 1900 on the last cycle. My FSH, LH, and E2 levels are good. FSH was, last month, 6.7. The problem is, alas, my age (42) and, hence, my egg quality. I have spoken to a number of REs. Here are the protocls: 1.
Avatar n tn Why do i need to take progesterone and estrogen my whole 1st trimester? Also we have a day 7 frozen embrie does it have a chance?
945508 tn?1259156758 //www.ivfmd.net/Treatment/treatment2.htm Make sure your RE is monitoring your estrogen level after your transfer and not waiting until your hcg...
Avatar f tn As the eggs grow the follicles enlarge and produce estrogen. High levels of estrogen in your body triggers a release of LH, Luteinizing Hormone. This is also known as an LH surge. When this happens it causes the mature egg to burst from the follicle. This is called ovulation. Normally, only one egg will be large enough to burst through the follicle during ovulation. After you ovulate, you begin what is known as your Luteal Phase (the second half of your cycle).
Avatar n tn No it does not. Estridol (estrogen is the manufactured form) is made in the first part of our cycles. The follicular phase. Which is what drops our temperatures and causes the corpus luteum (the egg) to grow into follicals. It grows till you produce lutenizing hormone (LH tha shows up on ovulation predictor tests). It then bursts and you ovulate then your progesterone levels rise and your estrogen drops till your next period. The second phase is called Luteal phase.
961574 tn?1520648103 Japanese Minimal Stimulation IVF Technique When patients contemplate IVF, their first reaction is often the fear of daily injections of hormones for months, the incredibly high cost of the drugs, the risk of multiple pregnancy and consequent prematurity, side effects related to high levels of estrogen resulting from large numbers of eggs, hyperstimulation syndrome, and the prospect of painful daily progesterone injections for a full ten weeks even after the IVF procedure.
