Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome. Hm, I've not heard of douching ever being recommended anymore by physicians as the school of thought is that it causes much more harm than good. I recommend that anyone check with their own doctor before considering douching. Luck to all.
Avatar n tn As far as requiring hormone replacement treatment, consider asking your gynecologist to measure an estradiol (estrogen) level - if you estrogen levels are OK, or more importantly unless you are having hot flashes, vaginal dryness, etc you may not necessarily need estrogen. Your symptoms of stomach bloating, belching, gas are not typical symptoms of menopause.
Avatar m tn estrogen makes this type of cancer grow faster). However, I was diagnosed early stage and there is no history of breast cancer in my family. I was treated with a lumpectomy followed by four rounds of chemo and 30+ rounds of radiation. I have had no problems since then. However I have been in and out of being peri-menopausal for the past seven years. Early on, I was treated with zolodex, which kept my estrogen levels low.
982214 tn?1471454781 I am not sure if this is a bad sign or just due to all the issues going on. The ovarian hyperstimulation, the estrogen 2 times a day or the progesterone 3 times a day. I cry at everything which really isn't helping anything right now.
695036 tn?1228405969 In Fibrocystic Breast Condition is effected by an increased amount of Estrogen within the body ... hence the increased breast tenderness that fluctuates with the menstrual cycle. Caffeine increases the amount of acid in the body and interferes with the acid-base balance thus causing the body to produce more Estrogen than Progesterone. It's not only coffee ... tea, high energy drinks and chocolate are also caffeine rich. Most regular soda today is caffeine free.
Avatar f tn Both surgeries were done laparoscopically and both were fine. Worse part of the recovery is the gas - they use carbon dioxide to inflate your abdomen. The gas becomes trapped inside and has no where to go, causing pain and discomfort in your rib cage area all the up to your shoulder blades. This slowly passes over a few weeks. I recommend resting completely after surgery and then for the next full 24 hours after that.
Avatar f tn As well as the discharge and bloated do you also have gas or wind?I have spasms in left side that are made worse by certain foods especially coffee.Sounds like IBS to me,get your doctor to confirm it and if it is then you need to change your diet asap. Not too much fibre and only 2 portions of fruit per day as any more makes IBS a lot more severe.
659709 tn?1225234468 Drink some peppermint tea for the gas, get something cool for the throat pain. I just drank a lot of cold water and had someone get me vanilla ice cream. That went away after about 5 days, but I'm still a bit hoarse. The day my stitches came out it hurt more but was o.k. the next day. Read the posts, and if you have anymore questions add to this post. I'm not on hrt therapy but a lot of ladies are so they'll chime in soon about that, it's also mentioned in the posts.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
587083 tn?1327120262 With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause. After my diagnosis of breast cancer (estrogen positive) my oncologist recommended I avoid soy products because even the weak phytoestrogens may stimulate cancer cells. Research is not conclusive but better to be safe. As the addage goes, 'all things in moderation.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
Avatar f tn I've had persistent abdominal pain since Mid July. It started quite suddenly with an event/attack severe enough to cause me to end up on the floor, I may have passed out I don't know. I just remember my husband finding me on the floor curled up in the fetal position, and having super severe abdominal pain. The pain passed after 20 mins or so, felt like forever, and I thought all was good, but I was wrong.
Avatar n tn because my ovaries are producing too much estrogen. he described it as driving, when the ovaries are going they press on the gas peddle which results in estrogen when then are stopped its more progesterone. which is why i cant get pregnant because the lining is too thick for the egg to attaching to the uterus.
Avatar f tn the same day I was bleeding for a week and 3 days. moderate cramping, but passing gas a lot. everything was fine on my next doctors visit. she told me not to be alarmed about the implantation bleeding, it was normal. but i'm still worried that's why I didn't want to go through that again in my 20's. now i'm in my mid 30's, it's totally different. what could it be? am I still early? is my estrogen level is down or what? i'm going crazy here!
Avatar f tn More than likely you probably just ate something that (obviously) did not agree with your digestive system. Try some Gas-X to help with the gas and bloating... I am lactose intolerant and it has helped me out before. I am not sure about going to see a doctor... unless this problem has persisted since four days ago. If it just started give it 24-hours to run its course.
Avatar n tn I repeatedly cleaned up the dog mess in my basement with bleach. I had no idea I was breathing chlorine gas or that it was dangerous. I should have payed more attention in chemistry class!!! Good Luck....I know how difficult the struggle can be.
Avatar f tn I'm 56, wear gas permeable lenses, moderate amts of mascara and eyeliner 5/6 days a week for about 30 yrs, most recently only 3x wk. I remove it with baby oil at night. Have used same brands of everything for years. No recent health/medicine changes. Since October 2007, I've been losing lashes and the remaining ones are very short--I pretty much look like I have none. No itching, redness, etc. At eye exams in Feb 2008 asked both the optometrist and opthalmologist about this.
458090 tn?1256321162 k... you're probably getting tired of hearing this but I'm still feeling terrible. My calves and ankles aren't swollen but I'm still UN-believably bloated and crampy and gas-y. I'm not sure that this is entirely correct but my doctor said it had nothing to do with the anesthesia and is purely to do with the stims (I still think it's at least partly the anesthesia and we all know how much more WE know than them doctors!)...
