Avatar n tn I had some estrogen deficiency symptoms for quite a few months. If your estrogen deficiency symptoms are really bad, you could consider taking phytoestrogen supplements such as Soy, Black Cohosh, Ginseng, Red Clover or **** Quai.
Avatar f tn Estrogen deficiency is what occurs from loss of an ovary. And depression is common from premature estrogen deficiency. This study talks about it (copy and paste into your web browswer) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6196781/ Depression is treatable though. Your doctor could visit the idea of hormone replacement. But probably a better idea is treatment for depression that could be short term. An SSRI can be very beneficial at times like this.
6882875 tn?1385743698 Hi Everyone, I am new to the site and look forward to be part of the forums. A little about my "undiagnosed symptoms". Basically my symptoms that started just over a year ago are constant fatigue, daily pain in lower left rib cage area, chronic coughing, night sweats, occasional swelling of lymph nodes on collar bone and iron deficiency range of 7-11 (not anemic as hemoglobin is okay). My WBC ranges between 3.9 - 5.6. Doctors can't seem to figure out what is going on.

Avatar n tn My new doctor recommended me to have a salivary test to test hormone levels/cortisol/dhea. The results show what she called estrogen deficiency and high cortisol levels. progestrone level is okay. She said that I could try "natural" estrogen cream but I have tried bioidentical progestrone cream before and this brought on bleeding again just after 3 days of use. I also experienced giddiness with it use.
Avatar f tn From October to Present I feel my symptoms have gotten worse. Could this all be from Vitamin D deficiency? I also wanted to state information that may be of use: I am a 28 year old female, since March 2013 I have cut out eating anything dairy, gluten and soy. I do not take any multivitamins presently (I am starting them again tomorrow) and just started taking Vitamin D 2000 IU on Saturday. Again, I ask, can all these symptoms be from low vitamin D? Thank you for reading!
Avatar m tn The problem is finding the cause or causes but at the end of the symptoms and causes of serotonin deficiency is general info to help boost serotonin. When you reach a serious state of serotonin deficiency suicidal thoughts occur as I unfortunately know from experience.
Avatar f tn What you may notice is symptoms of estrogen deficiency. I had quite a few estrogen deficiency symptoms for the next four months after surgery due to my left ovary being removed. The other ovary eventually takes over the duties of the ovary that was removed....thankfully! To help with estrogen deficiency symptoms, there are phytoestrogen supplements that mimic estrogen such as Soy, Black Cohosh, Ginseng, Red Clover or **** Quai.
Avatar f tn So it is not unreasonable for women without parts to take hormones the rest of their lives. Estrogen deficiency resulting from ovary removal or premature natural menopause is associated with many increased health risks and reduced quality of life. And testosterone deficiency caused by ovary removal may also have negative health and quality of life effects. I have read that the clotting risk of oral estrogen normalizes after the first year or two of taking it.
Avatar m tn range, but this was also after several days of working out in the gym, which may have boosted my testosterone slightly. I was also diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. My symptoms, which seem to be degenerating month to month, are low concentration (I have much greater difficulty reading and listening than I ever had before), poor short and long-term memory (difficulty recalling names, places, etc.

903476 tn?1242237037 I find your history absolutely interesting and an answer should be sought here.Your hair and nail symptoms, myalgias, rash, mental symptoms all lead to one possible diagnosis. Avatar f tn Hi Jane, One of the things I found was estrogen deficiency, now if you read through that your should come up with, pain during sex, and if you carry on the reason is dryness, and that comes from estrogen deficiency, all from taken Tri-Cyclen Lo, think its about for a change.
Avatar f tn I had estrogen deficiency and estrogen dominance! lol Double whammy! I decided to go on birth control pill to cycle myself out for a couple of years....I was to the point I was missing periods. The pms was aweful too! But also for the fact I have all the thyroid issues, I am sure it made things worse. If I was all the way through menopause I would take bio-identical hormones, but right now I don't want to chance a mid life baby so I am taking bcp's.
560272 tn?1311350293 It could be so many things -- any true deficiency causes deficiency symptoms. It sounds to me to be more hormonal or sugar related, because of the timing, weight gain, and tooth decay. All are symptoms of either overuse of simple carbs, hormonal imbalances, or both.
Avatar f tn I am in my 20's and I have autoimmune thyroiditis. I fluctuate between borderline/mild hypo and normal (I also have a history of hyper) and I get heart palpitations (PVCs and PACs) too. There seems to be some correlation between my palpitations and my thyroid hormone values (they seem to get worse when my labs are more hypo) and I actually never had them before my thyroid issues started.
