Avatar n tn I have just been prescribed vaginal estrogen cream to relieve some symptoms that I've had. (irriatated feeling, cramps, pinching feeling) Does anyone have any feedback on this cream? Kind of concerned as breast cancer runs in my family and not sure about using this cream. Has anyone tried anything more natural?
Avatar n tn I have found that what has helped my endometriosis the most is Natural Progesterone Cream, prescribed by my doctor. It is not the same as Synthetic Progesterone and is much safer. I have been using the cream for about 2 years and no longer need to get yearly laporoscopies. I have also cut down on my dairy intake due to the excess estrogen levels in dairy which feed endo. I find my calcium in other foods instead.
200220 tn?1361951554 Dr. Lupus: My holistic doctor gave me natural progesterone cream to use to help me stabilize my moods and pick up the free estrogen that is floating in my body. My question to you is it dangerous to use with taking levothyroxine 37.5 with having hashimotor disease. My doctor is an MD also and seem to be very knowledgeable about the thyroid along with helping me with celiac disease. What is your experience with this natural product.
Avatar f tn I have estrogen positive tumor. I am on chemo now and will then go on tamofoxin (spelling?) I was concerned that the absence of hormones would afffect my sexual drive. I was told not to take any herbal agents, soy etc. The physician did say that premarin vaginal cream 3 x per week would be okay. I am concerned. I have been told allot of different things. Do I risk taking the cream? Is it absorbed just locally? What is your suggestion.
Avatar f tn Hi there. I am post menopausal and use estrogen cream. I apply the cream to my silicone pessary to help to insert it as well as to keep my vaginal walls in good condition. I also apply estrogen cream vaginally separately around once a week. An acidifier is normally to maintain the correct acid balance in the vagina which helps to avoid bacterial vaginal infections as well as yeast infections...
Avatar f tn Can anyone direct me to a place to buy Natural Progesterone Cream. There are so many different places on the web and I don't know who to trust and what site is just trying to get money for nothing. Thanks.
Avatar f tn Remifemin & Estroven both contain phytoestrogens, (derived from plants) Wild yam cream contains phytoprogesterones. They do appear to provide relief for some, although phytoestrogens do not fully attach to the estrogen receptors in the human body in the same way that estrogens produced by the ovaries do. None of the phytoestrogens, including Remifemin helped with my hot flashes or other symptoms at all.
1274661 tn?1301868321 Also the one that still uses it said that her gp recommended a supplement that stops the creation of bad estrogen called estro-sense but I have no idea how that works maybe something to look into. There is also this natural pill that's starts with a p that I have heard many people swear by it but I am trying to find the link for you to read. Let me go look for that now.
Avatar n tn The concern I have again is could using estrogen cream bring on bleeding. My gynaecologist said that if I have further bleeding (after none for over 7 months now) she will have to do another hysteroscopy. Of course I am trying to avoid that situation. My main symptoms for treatment are anxiety and vaginal dryness. I was wondering if anybody has had a similar condition/suggestion and whether they found the estrogen cream was okay for them.
Avatar f tn That's interesting. I wouldn't think that estrogen (estriol or estradiol) cream would cause most of those symptoms. However, it could affect your menstrual cycle.
1074733 tn?1256231619 My blood and saliva panel came back showing a very high level of estrogen, even though I have no uterus and only 1 ovary. They call this estrogen dominance. They prescribed estrogen cream which was compounded by a pharmacist. Over the past 10 years I have had numerous doctors tell me they thought I should be on HRT for symptoms I was having, and just because of the hysterectomy.
Avatar f tn I would think you were estrogen dominant and don't require estrogen cream. Did you have a full panel of FSH - estrodiol ( not estrogen) - testosterone AND progesterone? If the thyroid meds are not talking right in the body many other hormones fall short or feed.
Avatar n tn Thank you so much for the clarification. I am 47 and have low progesterone, low estrogen, and low testosterone, so I am never sure which is the culprit when I have a strong symptom. I keep searching for the difference between low estrogen symptoms and low progesterone but the only differences I have been able to ascertain so far are low estrogen= hot flashes and night sweats. Low progesterone= extreme irritability and breast tenderness.
393685 tn?1425812522 it is not like taking the synthetics as far as blood clot concerns. I have lack of estrogen and lack of progesterone. BUT...my ratio showed estrogen dominance as well! Soooooooo start that progesterone cream right away, make sure it is a good brand without parabens. Message me with the brand you have. Also you have to take it according to your menstrual cycle. You should slow down on your smoking anyway....just start weaning yourself. As far as the blood factor....
8725523 tn?1399590462 I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with either Osphena or Premarin vagnal cream? I had a total hysterectomy at 28yrs old and have been taking hormone replacement ever since. I am now 41. I suffer from numerous migraines a month and am concerned about taking the oral option for fear of increased migraines d/t the estrogen.
Avatar f tn I had this same problem after having my daughter and was prescribed vagifem and premarin estrogen cream – was a lifesaver! Your problem will not go away until your estrogen levels return to normal and even then you may still need some local estrogen to help heal your sore tissues - get yourself a new doc!
Avatar f tn Sounds like a symptom of too much estrogen to me, in other words, estrogen dominance. You need to get off the synthetic and take a good, bio-identical hormone cream, a compounding pharmacist can make this up for you once the doc prescribes it. You can also use a good, over the counter cream, I am talking about Progesterone by the way, it will help to alleviate the estrogen dominance and get those hormones back in balance.
Avatar f tn I believe progesterone has almost more to do with TTC and sustaining a pregnancy over estrogen. I have read using natural progesterone cream/bioidentical cream can help in TTC and sustaining pregnancy. Google progesterone and pregnancy and see what it says. My research(one line and in books) says it can help!
Avatar f tn So, how long should it take to see improvement using estrogen cream? in this case the cream has been in use for a week and a half and no change at all.
Avatar f tn In general most doctors will use intravaginally estrogen, pill or cream, nightly for 2 weeks and then twice weekly thereafter for maintenance. Using estrogen for 4 to 6 weeks is generally enough time to show improvement in the vagina for surgery.
Avatar n tn After 2 days of taking Prempro I decided not for me. I think I need Progesterone and would like to know if others use the cream and what brand. Or any advice appreciated. Thank- you.
Avatar n tn Why are you going to use them? I'm having a hard time finding anything on men using them, but I'm going to post some things that may be relevant. Why anyone shouldn't use progesterone - Liver tumors Genital cancer Breast cancer Severe arterial disease Undiagnosed vaginal bleeding Acute porphyrias Idiopathic jaundice Severe pruritus occurring during pregnancy Pemphigoid occurring during pregnancy https://www.medicalnewstoday.
Avatar f tn And yes, estrogen can stimulate any remaining endo. Some doctors say that going without estrogen for a certain period of time post-op to allow the lesions to die off reduces this risk. Others say that taking progesterone with the estrogen reduces this "endo flare" risk. Regardless of the endo issue, going without hormones can be a very miserable existence.
Avatar f tn Thank you for responding to my comment. The bio cream I was using had estrogen testosteron and progesterone.
659709 tn?1225234468 I just realized your only 23, why would they give your estrogen cream? Did you have both ovaries removed? Were there cysts on them? Oh and the bloating is from the gas they use to expand your abdomen during the surgery to have room to work, it takes a while to go away. There's a lot about that on the posts I mentioned.
200220 tn?1361951554 Did your doctor mean estrogen or any hormone cream. The is a natural progesterone. It is not estrogen. My doctor is pretty up on things and I will ask him on Tuesday when they are open. I'm not taking it anymore until I find out. How old are you I haven't read you stuff before I'm asking this question. I am 68 and been through change of life a long time ago at 43.
