Avatar f tn My B6 pain gets worse during my period. But my pain is in my breasts, and as you know, breasts are more tender during your period, so I think it's just additive, in my case. Before I knew that my pain was due to B6 toxicity, I had read that many women have breast pain called Fibromyalgia. And that it is reduced by taking Evening Primerose oil. So I rushed to the store and bought some. And it made my pain markedly worse. Apparently, it includes soy and soy lecithin.
Avatar f tn s happening with your thyroid. Your period should come back, so a doctor who specializes in thyroid and maybe hormones should be your next step. The hypothyroid disease, Hashimoto's, commonly causes miscarriage and infertility. With proper treatment, many Hashi women have successful pregnancies. You will need the TGab and TPOab tests plus a thyroid ultrasound to determine if you have Hashi.
778044 tn?1299542934 Have you had any resolution to this? I've recently realized the patch exposes me to 60% more estrogen, after battling endo for 15yrs. I strongly believe my dr has overlooked this, & that it's one of the reasons I now suffer from widespread chronic symptoms. He refused to switch my b.c. - stating that my ONLY options were the 3 that keep him on my payroll: get pregnant, go back on Lupron, or full hysterectomy with add-back (none of which are cures).
Avatar n tn Thank you for your comments Stella. I read the info from the journal which I found very useful. In my post I said I took Prog cream 3 weeks on, 1 off but I made a mistake. It's only from about mid cycle till I get my period and I'm only just starting. I wrote the post when I had my period and my brain still plays some tricks on me during that week! What I found interesting about the journal were the comments made on sleep, thyroid function and insulin resistance.
Avatar n tn I havent had a period in 4 months and have took pregnancy tests and they are all negative i have been stressed out aswell but it is still worrying,i have been to my doctors and they keep sending me away without any examination apart from advice of buying a pregnancy test which i have already done...
Avatar f tn My period has been thinning for months. I did a hormonal imbalance test and it turns out my estrogen level is at 203. The doctor told me to eat healthy, no carbs and no sugar. They also say irregular period is due to stress. I did my research stress leads to high estrogen. So I am guessing that is what causing it to be high. But I also read eating foods with lots of vitamins (ex. Selenium. Melatonin, vitamin b, magnesium, etc.) helps reduce it.
Avatar n tn I highly recommend that you see your gynecologist to make sure the only reason that you are not getting your period is that you are underweight and if there is no other reason then that to get on some sort of estrogen replacement or birth control pills.
Avatar f tn It can be hormone-related or something else. It's very difficult to even guess without knowing details. You can go to your gynecologist to find out if it's just hormones or something else, if it would make you feel at ease.
Avatar f tn and it is a lot of swelling and inflammation that occurs with that and with swelling comes tighter space for blood and CSF to flow which with Chiari is tight already..... Deff talk with your OBGYN and NS to see the best way to deal with this.....not knowing your age....there are things I wish I knew when I was younger as I went into early onset menopause....I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and that can affect hormones and in effect affect headaches too.
790669 tn?1465189099 no, your not crazy. when you have a lot of estrogen in your body, most likely the endo will be more painful. estrogen in high when you ovulate- when you are on your period- the endo is also inflammed with causes pain as well. i would feel discomfort usually around ovulation time and during my period. i would also get bad migraines right before my period would come down- when i would get migraines i knew my period would come that night or the next day.
Avatar n tn I am 27. I have not had a period in 9 months. I also have not been able to lose weight. I have gained 10 lbs in one year on my little 5'2" frame. I am a fitness coach so i am very active and eat super super healthy. What can be some of the causes?
Avatar n tn suggested that she discontinue her birth control pill which contains 35 mcg. estrogen. The head aches occur during her period and the pill days, too. Is there a birth control pill that does not cause migrains? She was on the 25 mcg "low" estrogen pill, but she had an ovarian cyst.
Avatar f tn I spoke with a health specialist, and they said that taking high doses of Vitamin C is NOT good for your body, and to only let your body do what it wants, and when it wants.
480265 tn?1221244303 I've been having problems with my period because every month it was getting lighter and lighter til I only get my "light" period for 1 day. So I asked my gyn and started looking online about this and come to find out, clomid thins out your uterus. Doesn't that defeat the purpose because doesn't our body have to have a thick enough lining for the baby to stick? I am so confused..........
Avatar f tn All the doctors can do is give me different I think it can be this or that. Anyhow, over these 14 yrs, my period has gotten shorter and shorter. The last two years it has only lasted two days, heavy both days. Before my period I have serve fatigue, extra emotional, headache, and trouble emptying bladder (constant urge to pee). Last month and this month. I feel like I need to start 3-4 days before I start. When I finally do I have heavy bleeding one day, and then spotting the following two.
Avatar f tn ) I still have my regular period symptoms sometimes, and they were never every month with the exact same. I've seen my regular doctor for a checkup since and nothing has been out of the ordinary anywhere else, and I've had blood tests, an ultrasound (in January 2013), etc. Nothing is out of the ordinary. So what is going on?
1190847 tn?1287363025 Yes you need to tell your doctor about this right away as they would need to update your diagnosis and treatment within their professional discretion. Neither of those medications specifically treat psychosis but it would be essential to remain on them and have your doctor decide what might be best for you.
Avatar n tn Im a 27 yr old and i havent had a period for 3 years before this time i used to get my period every 28 to 35 days. Ive been to specialist and they said my hormone levels were down due to being underweight so i have tried to gain weight but still no period. I dont want to go on the pill are there any other ways other than the pill. Also in regards to pregnancy ive heard there are tablets you can take is this true? Can anyone help me im desperate for answers!!!
Avatar f tn It would be good to know your estrogen and progesterone levels, to ensure your estrogen to progesterone ratio is right. What are you on now? Unfortunately standard Thyroid testing does not indicate Hypothyroidism type 2, which is similar to diabetes 2. The serum levels are fine, yet the thyroid function (in the cells) is low (thyroid resistance) For this you need Free T3, Free T4 AND Reverse T3 Cheers.
Avatar f tn Ovarian cysts can affect the menstrual cycle. That said, in perimenopause estrogen and progesterone levels are irregular and missed menstrual periods are a symptom.
Avatar f tn Your estrogen levels are way too high. Total estrogen normal reference range: Day 1 - 10: 61 - 394pg/mL, Day 11–20: 122–437 pg/mL; Day 21–30: 156–350 pg/mL. High estrogen leads to excessive production of thyroid binding globulin (TBG). Although there are enough thyroid hormones in the blood, they are not taken up by the body's cells as they are inactivated by TBG. In other words, thyroid labs are in range but you have signs of low thyroid function.
1553360 tn?1355848431 The first 2 days was depressed and just sad about everything, yesterday was fine, but the today I feel up and down non-stop. Please can anyone give me some advice as to how long this may last. Once I get my cycle I can start the clomid, which makes me question if there will be any more mood changes. Any advice would be appreciated!
