Avatar n tn I take antivert for symptoms but am regularly taking estrogen, pepsid and other gerd medications. Anyone have experience with vertigo lasting months? however mild, this still is quite bothersome.
Avatar f tn I thought positional vertigo had to do with little calcifications in the inner ear breaking off wherever they are attached and floating around. Do you think this comes from estrogen use? I had heard it came from something else.
Avatar f tn This cream made me worse at first because it apparently wakes up the estrogen receptors and makes the estrogen dominance symptoms worse. I cut my dosage back to about 1/16 to 1/8 of a teaspoon applied at night and things seem to be getting better! Finally! I'm going to talk to the doctor about adding a natural estrogen cream to the mix if things get bad again.
Avatar f tn The effects on my brain were extreme - severe depression and inability to think, concentrate and remember. I had little energy and often felt shaky. I aged rapidly - lost so much hair and skin collagen. Although I didn't have heart palps or dizziness / vertigo, I know a number of women who did. Has any doctor prescribed estrogen? Finding the right form and dose of estrogen was a huge help for me including lifting me out of the black hole of depression.
Avatar n tn I had a complete hysterectomy in 97. I am 40 years old and have been on estrogen since 1997. For the last month I have had left breast pain witha stinging sensation to the nipple if even touched. I am not able to lie on that side any longer. Could I have an infection some how? No medication changes or additions. I only take estrotest. I was diagnosed with Optic Neuritus and vertigo about a month ago also.
451975 tn?1372328599 t know what to believe other than I wish I could find one doctor who would take an interest other than throwing numerous medications at me and follow through with interest and treatment options and perhaps admit that this is some neurological disorder that is complicated by my going through hormonal change with menopause, offer some ideas as to rehab to rebuild muscle strength which is lost after such great lengths of time in bed, and offer hope and connection with other patients suffering from
Avatar f tn Also spondylitis of cervical spine (neck vertebrae) is known to cause nausea and vertigo. An ENT and an orthopedic consultation can take care of that. Maybe its vertigo that makes you feel shaky. Alternately you could get a brain EEG to rule out epilepsy. Regarding alternate hot and cold flushes “Younger women who are menstruating or expecting to menstruate soon (the premenstrual period typically lasts one week) may encounter hot and/or cold flashes.
Avatar m tn Now, a VA doctors comes out to my house and tells me that he now thinks that I have Vertigo and Movement Vertigo which is causing my Anxiety situation. Can I be treated for vertigo and Tinnitus after all these years with success or is it too later for me now that 30 yrs have gone by without treatment of any kind? What can the neurologist and hearing doctors do for me now at this late stage in life and time?
Avatar m tn I have been hypo for a long time but only in the last year or so have experienced issues with being bloated all the time, swollen hands and feet and belly. I also feel fluid in my ears, and I think this is what is causing dizziness/light headedness. I feel like I am on a boat most of the day, most days. Does anyone have these too? do these sound like hypo symptoms or not? Thanks in advance.
Avatar f tn hot flushing, dizzy or a type of vertigo feeling, just awful and made me feel weird. extreme feelings passed and I was ok during middle of day, just tired and a little light headed. Last night, however, just before bed I got the awful flushing feeling, anxiety, dizzy, actually similar to the morning epidsode. 3. Dose 3 have not taken it yet. it is now 10am our time and I was supposed to take it at 6am. am I too late to take it now?
5140021 tn?1364185966 Assuming you have vertigo and it's not a symptom of anxiety attacks, which it very often is, there are gentler methods of treating it than an antidepressant you have to take all the time and that is hard to stop taking. Ginger is a natural remedy that helps many with this problem, and there are drugs such as antivert you only need to take as needed. The question here is, why do you have vertigo?
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
Avatar n tn While getting the migranes, having a cup of chamomille tea at night helped much. Also, my mom and other relatives had vertigo and felt normal a week after having the medications, therefore, I believe I don't have vertigo. But see a neurologist, it doesn't hurt to get a second or even third opinion, good luck.
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
Avatar f tn Yes, I was on estrogen patches when I was first diagnosed with B6 toxicity, and in fact had been slowing ramping up on the estrogen. Estrogen reportedly increases your need for B6, which seems counterintuitive, since I had more B6 toxicity with higher levels of estrogen. Perhaps estrogen causes B6 to store more readily in the muscle? I have no idea, but there IS an effect, somehow. Also, during my B6 toxicity recovery, things were always much worse before my period.
