393685 tn?1425812522 it is not like taking the synthetics as far as blood clot concerns. I have lack of estrogen and lack of progesterone. BUT...my ratio showed estrogen dominance as well! Soooooooo start that progesterone cream right away, make sure it is a good brand without parabens. Message me with the brand you have. Also you have to take it according to your menstrual cycle. You should slow down on your smoking anyway....just start weaning yourself. As far as the blood factor....
407961 tn?1202013647 They said it happened because of birth control and smoking. I really want to have another baby, but I am worried about what could happen. I have a 2 year old, and that pregnancy went perfect!! But I am worried about having another one. I have left side weakness when i dont get enough sleep, and i still have tingling in my left arm, but i take aspirin every day and check my blood pressure and it stays low.
Avatar n tn Infection is the most common cause CRP levels fluctuate from day to day, and levels increase with aging, high blood pressure, alcohol use, smoking, low levels of physical activity, chronic fatigue, coffee consumption, having elevated triglycerides, insulin resistance or diabetes, taking estrogen, eating a high protein diet, and suffering sleep disturbances, or depression.
Avatar f tn ) Beyond that, exercise, weight control (obesity was associated with a 40% increased risk of contralateral BC), a low-fat and low-calorie diet, smoking cessation (smoking raised the risk of contralateral BC by 120%), and avoidance of excessive alcohol ( 7 or more drinks per week increased the risk 90%), are all factors through which survivors can influence the risk of subsequent cancer development. Best wishes...
Avatar f tn I just went to my family physician and she told me I was beginning to go through early onset menopause. I am 42 years old. That being said she informed me that it would be dangerous to my health to take birth control or any type of hormone. Is this true, am I just supposed to suffer for the rest of my life with hot flashes etc etc. ????
Avatar f tn I am 57 years old and had a histerectomy when I was 45. I am trying to get off estrogen that I have taken since my hysterectomy. I recently quit smoking and have gained a little weight I weigh 160 - 170. I have gout, IBS, meneries desease. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn I am a smoker and was told to not take my estrogen replacement until i have stopped smoking. I am not having much luck with quitting completely and the night sweats and hot flashes are horrible! I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with any of the natural products? I have tried estrovan Pm as I am not getting any sleep, but I felt even more groggy and tired when I took that. I cannot go on like this for the nest 20 yrs any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Low t3 and TSH For years my doctors have not been taking my hormonal issues seriously. I have been misdiagnosed with PCOS, and my last conversation with my doctor concluded with her telling me that she thinks I have some sort of compulsive psychological disorder, i.e. she does not believe in the severity of my symptoms, which include (I'm a 21 y.o.

Avatar n tn t the mention marajuana which is combating an entirely different complications - hyperemesis gravidarum (hospitization zofran pump kind). Although estrogen dominance(my last post touches on this)can affect thyroid, which is associated with hypermesis gravidarum). I have been smoking pot since I was 8w. sorry for my rambling. I have no one to talk to about this experimental, but very interesting pregnancy. But yeah, I'm a total medicinal pothead.
527657 tn?1214051850 After I quit smoking, I had the same problem. My sex drive just went WAAAAY down after I got off of the nicotine. If you have gained weight or become lethargic, that could be a HUGE reason that your libido has diminished. Stay active and working out, it helps! (Totally not an excuse for you to start smoking again lol) Plus (not trying to insult), but you are getting older.
Avatar f tn These changes are seen because of falling estrogen, progesterone and thyroid levels post natally. Consult a psychiatrist for psychotherapy, hormone therapy involving replacement of estrogen marriage counseling, and antidepressants if indicated. Hope this helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn Change his diet to high protein, low sugar, healthy fats etc. No smoking, no drinking beer (beer has estrogen in it, female hormones, and does not help his body, makes it think it's female). It takes up to 3 months to produce new sperm so he'll need to make changes now and stick to them and regularly (min 2 times a week) relieve himself or have sex then after 3 months go back for another sperm test, then you'll get a true result as to whether his sperm can be improved. Good luck.
Avatar f tn It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn Ask your doctor about going off of it for a few month and see if that helps. I heard that estrogen can cause congestion along with other medications. I too have non allergic rhinitis but mine is considered Vasomotor rhinitis.k I had this for 6 yrs. but I do not take any medication, just nasal steroid sprays and nasal rinses and it does not do anything. I even had sinus surgery - total ethmoidectomy, opening the ostia of the maxillary sinuses and partial turbinectomy.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
