Avatar n tn Good questions. Is your doctor talking about xenoestrogens? Those don't show up but do think that regular estrogen supplements probably do. ?? It appears that it isn't this doctors practice to check hormone levels but . . . I'm also sure that some do. This article may be helpful for you https://www.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction/news/20030210/estrogen-affects-fertility-window. It's a balance and one your doctor would be wise to pay attention to it seems.
698356 tn?1240150727 From its lofty position above the rest of the body it sends signals to the thyroid gland, adrenal glands, ovaries and testes, directing them to produce thyroid hormone, cortisol, estrogen, testosterone, and many more. These hormones have dramatic effects on metabolism, blood pressure, sexuality, reproduction, and other vital body functions.

Avatar m tn So, you will die, and so will I. It is only that one of us will die earlier, and it can as well be me. You are probably at an advantageous situation in that you know to a reasonably certain extent why and how you will de. You can probably set your things right. The purpose of every living thing is to ultimately reproduce and leave some of its genes behind. But I believe that each child deserves to have both parents, for as long as possible.
Avatar m tn Hey guy, we ALL have a LOT of apprehension and anxiety about this DCM thing (and of course, ED!!!!) but you need to somebody to look you straight in the eye like they finally did with me and say "You're NOT going to die, this is serious BUT manageable!!!" Unless, of course one can die from going soft before you can get the job done! I'll admit that's pretty dreadful.
Avatar m tn You’ll just need to explore other options that don’t require an erect penis. Believe me, there are many! And don’t forget the importance of nonsexual touch, holding and stroking each other, etc. These can enhance your relationship in many ways.
Avatar n tn At this point I feel I am going back and forth between yeast infections and low estrogen symptoms. Needless to say I am losing my mind and am in agony. Any suggestions? OR home remedies? Baths? Anything would help.
Avatar n tn The fat skimming process takes away the female hormones, progesterone and estrogen, while leaving behind androgen. This can cause a hormonal imbalance and impact ovulation since you are literally consuming extra male hormones. Full fat and organic is better, but you're still consuming a ton of fat and naturally existing growth hormones (cows milk is intended to make a baby calf grow into a massive cow in a short period of time).
Avatar f tn I'm so sorry that you are having a hard time conceiving. We are not doctors, so the best bet would be to ask your gynecologist what she thinks is going on. Sometimes when you have an ovary removed it takes time for your hormones to get back in order. Have they done any type of hormonal tests on you? I would ask for a FSH, and estrogen and progesterone test. It could be that you are low on one of the hormones. Good luck. I'll say a prayer for you.
Avatar n tn we were so, so happy that it worked, but I kepted feeling that there was something wrong. Sure enough 4 days later I felt wet and had to run to the toilet. I had started to bleed, not a brownish but pink/red colour. I was so worried & just started to rest up on my bed. Called the clinic and they said that this was normal & that I should take things easy & not too stress.
Avatar n tn Lupron is an injectable GnRH analog it decreases FSH and LH levels. It is used in Assisted Reproduction techniques like before an intrauterine insemination or in vitro fertilization. Sperm motility may be decreased due to tobacco intake, smoking, low intake of zinc etc.In such cases intrauterine insemination may help. Your doctor may be planning assisted reproduction technology for you. Discuss all your concerns with your treating doctor. Do write to us again if you have more queries.
Avatar n tn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_reproduction A pregnancy is possible ONLY if semen is ejaculated or deposited into the vagina. The vagina IS NOT connected to the anus in any way, and serve completely different functions which I assume you know. Please educate yourselves fully and empower yourselves with knowledge about reproduction, birth control etc., before having sex so that you do not catch STDs (sexually transmitted diseases) or get into an unwanted pregnancy.
Avatar n tn I would really appreciate the knowledge because we have no support groups where we are and we are going on one and a half years since my husbands accident. And so far we have had to learn on our own and really don't know where to turn. My husband recently was also denied insurance so we have been doing all we can on our own. Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn In polycystic ovarian syndrome a woman has irregular periods, is overweight and has excessive hair growth. There is weight gain and an imbalance of estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and insulin all of which work together to regulate our metabolism and appetite. Your gynecologist may prescribe you Clomiphene. It is an ovulation inducing drug.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
Avatar f tn m really worried about it! And apparently causes permanent reproduction damage if not checked!!?
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
