Avatar m tn AFTER ABOUT 2 MONTHS I SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT MY INCREASED IN JITTERINESS, SWEATING, HUNGER AND FEELING HOT MIGHT BE RELATED TO MY THRYROID MEDICATION WHICH I HAVE BEEN TAKING FOR YEARS RE TO HOSHIMOTOS AND NODULES. AND JUST HAD ALL WITHIN NORMAL RESULTS FROM MY YEARLY THYROID TESTS IN SEPT. WHAT ARE THOUGHTS ON THIS?
Avatar f tn Low t3 and TSH For years my doctors have not been taking my hormonal issues seriously. I have been misdiagnosed with PCOS, and my last conversation with my doctor concluded with her telling me that she thinks I have some sort of compulsive psychological disorder, i.e. she does not believe in the severity of my symptoms, which include (I'm a 21 y.o.
443102 tn?1222125946 My friend said she felt symptoms earlier than she should have and I am wondering if some estrogen gets released at fertilization and makes you have a few symptoms at first. I read that on the internet......hehehehe! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/203b19 Thanks for your help...so much!
Avatar f tn My wic lady thinks I'm at risk for it because I've gained a lot of weight so far. I check my bp daily and its normal always. I told her I've gained a lot due to actually eating now. And I'm a vegan so I eat lots of breads, starches and fruits. And to top it off I quit drinking coffee and cigarettes which suppressed my hunger before pregnancy. I weighed 125 before now I weigh 145 and I'm only 22 weeks.
Avatar m tn Since oxytocin, dopamine, lactin, serotonin, testosterone, estrogen, vasopressin, and other major sex hormones are released during sex for various reasons, could increasing the major sex hormones directly responsible for the euphoric, pleasurable feelings during an orgasm increase the pleasure felt during an orgasm? I don't know how it would be done, but if you can think of ways that do not involve harmful drugs or any harmful method, please let me know.
Avatar f tn I also experience sulfer or egg smelling/tasting breath during my hunger sensations. I have underwent an endoscopy and everything was fine and had NO indication of ulcers. I have been on birth control pills for going on four years. I'm wondering what could possibly be causing these burning, gnawing constant hunger sensations....is it GERD? I doubt the diagnosis of GERD because it is not accompanied by heart burn. I rarely do have heart burn.
Avatar f tn You might consider increasing your daily intake to about 1600 calories and see how that makes you feel as far as hunger goes. Also see what it does for weight loss. It may actually help, believe it or not. If you deprive yourself too much, then your metabolism will slow down, which will slow weight loss and make you miserable at the same time. Extreme calorie deprivation can also be dangerous.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
Avatar f tn Yes, I was on estrogen patches when I was first diagnosed with B6 toxicity, and in fact had been slowing ramping up on the estrogen. Estrogen reportedly increases your need for B6, which seems counterintuitive, since I had more B6 toxicity with higher levels of estrogen. Perhaps estrogen causes B6 to store more readily in the muscle? I have no idea, but there IS an effect, somehow. Also, during my B6 toxicity recovery, things were always much worse before my period.
Avatar f tn I am a 25 year old female. I have been experiencing the intense hunger pains many of you are describing accompanied by nausea. It started with one or two episodes a month and has increased to almost daily. I'll eat and feel sick. I feel fatigued all the time and I'm having trouble studying for school. All I want to do is lay around the house or sleep b/c that's the only time I don't feel sick. I just started seeing a gastrointerologist...
393685 tn?1425812522 Will the progestrone cream help lose some of the weight I gained with this perimenopausal estrogen dominance? Will it balance my mood? I know diet and exercise will need to be done too - but I am a very healthy eater and with hypo - I eat less now due to no hunger. I never took any hormone pills ( only BC when I was in my twenties) What would be your suggestions to help get my body and attitude back?
