Avatar f tn So today is a really bad one? My emotions are down and nothing I do today seems positive. I know this emotional rollercoaster is normal but this is all steaming from this stupid dental infection and because of the antibiotics I have a yeast infection and I feel even lower.. I got the creme but can't shake that dirty feeling like I did something wrong. This is my first yeast infection in my life!
Avatar f tn As I've mentioned in my previous post, I have the strong feeling that I have a hormone imbalance. For 3 years, I've been overemotional/irritable/nervous, have had light/skipped periods, persistent acne,(I'm 20 and I don't feel like this should be happening), and hot flashes. These problems have gotten progressively worse over the years. The problem is though, that I feel like I have the symptoms of both estrogen dominance and estrogen deficiency.
Avatar f tn I am 33 years old and have had 2 children (ages 10 and 4). Today I have been struggling with my emotions and have not been able to sleep since I woke up at 7:00 a.m. I know this must be "normal", but I just want to be sure. Is it common to feel weepy after this type of surgery? I want to be clear that I am happy I made the choice to have this surgery and it was medically necessary I do so. I do not have any regrets. Thank you for your help!
Avatar f tn it gets so bad that i cant even go to professors for help because they explain what it is im doing wrong and i just start to cry and its really for no reason...(im a college student and i work part time).. it really does get to the point where i cant even talk to people about my emotions without crying or tearing up even if its something as simple as my friends just giving me advice on how to solve an issue. i will even cry when talking to my doctor\.. and theres no reason for it.
Avatar f tn My RE had me come in that same day and drew some blood. My estrogen was at 60.1 and my progesterone at 17.9. So he upped my dosage of progesterone from 1 ml to 1 1/2 ml and he added to estrogen patches every other day. Today it's 8dpt my spotting comes and goes sometimes I swear AF is about to start and other times I wipe and there barely is anything. I am really going insane with emotions yesterday I finally broke I couldn't stop crying.
1419937 tn?1302557849 That it has twice as much estrogen than any other birth control and it will make you go crazy pretty much, have crazy emotions (in my case, crazier).
Avatar f tn If you're really not depressed, and it doesn't sound as if you are, then other things could be at the bottom of this. MS can cause you to be emotionally 'labile.' That means your emotions can vary unpredictably, and can come to the surface before you even know they're there. This is not a secondary MS reaction, it's primary. A lesion is stimulating or otherwise affecting the part of your brain controlling emotions.
Avatar f tn the hormones can be corrected what right for one may not be right for another..I use estrogen only and its worked wonders no more hot flashes and no unreasonable outbursts of emotions,,,since your on the fence with this decision why not get one more gynos opinion? also keep reading on here theres lots of wisdom on many posts..Best wishes!!
Avatar f tn I absolutely do NOT feel like my old self and I have gone through all of the emotions, right now I just NEED some answers. I feel my absolute best as soon as I wake up every morning and I feel normal when I yawn but as the day progresses I feel more and more fogged. You know when you spin in a circle and you get really dizzy but then the dizziness wears off?
Avatar f tn Give it a little more time. My mom just recently got the ivf and she was in alot of stress and boy oh boy was her emotions all around the world. It would be alot of work too. So i know what you mean.
Avatar f tn The hormone loss (especially estrogen and possibly testosterone) after ovary removal can cause all kinds of health issues and make us feel like we are 90. These include depression, anxiety, loss of interest in life, blunted emotions, joint pain, loss of muscle mass, blurry vision, fragmented sleep, memory and cognition loss, aging skin and hair, the list goes on and on. The ovaries produce hormones into a woman's 80's.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
Avatar f tn The estrogen is kicking in with a vengeance and my poor husband has to just grin and bare it all. I think after this pregnancy he will think carefully before attempting to make number 2. Are you experiencing the same?
Avatar m tn All I know is that after you get pregnant you can use an ovulation monitor as a pregnancy test since it can tell an increase just like when you ovulate. I'm not sure how soon after ovulation it works though.
Avatar f tn Yes, I was on estrogen patches when I was first diagnosed with B6 toxicity, and in fact had been slowing ramping up on the estrogen. Estrogen reportedly increases your need for B6, which seems counterintuitive, since I had more B6 toxicity with higher levels of estrogen. Perhaps estrogen causes B6 to store more readily in the muscle? I have no idea, but there IS an effect, somehow. Also, during my B6 toxicity recovery, things were always much worse before my period.
