Avatar n tn I am waiting to hear from some inquiries I sent to websites about natural progesterone cream use and constipation and if I hear of anything, I'll let you know. The homeopathic treatment may be also helping my symptoms. Amongst other homeopathic remedies, the doctor gave me Cimicifuga, which is Black Cohosh.
Avatar n tn My question is, I realize that once the ovaries are removed women go into surgical menopause so to speak, but I have been on tamoxifen since November and having some symptoms of menopause. Tamoxifen works on estrogen so I am wondering if you think symptoms of menopause will change or stay pretty close to what I am having now. Thank you for any info.
Avatar f tn I'm an 18 year old cisgender female with an intact uterus and low estrogen/progesterone. To counter this, my doctor has prescribed me 100 mcg Estradot patches and 200 mg Microgest. I have absolutely HORRIBLE reaction to the Microgest -- horrific nausea, constipation, excessive vaginal discharge, headaches, constantly feel drunk, etc. I have been taking it 3 months now, so I know this is not a fluke.
Avatar f tn Excess estrogen can affect levels of Free thyroid hormones, if the ratio of progesterone to estrogen is too low. That results in excess TBG which ties up more of the Total T4 and T3 and reduces Free T4 and Free T3. Since you don't have reliable test results, you can't be sure whether this is an issue or not. Hypo patients are frequently too low in the ranges for Vitamin d, B12 and ferritin.
Avatar f tn Estrogen should not be taken without a progestogen or you're at risk for proliferation of the uterine lining which can cause hyperplasia or cancer. Have you tried various formulations of progestins? Have you tried micronized progesterone (brand name Prometrium)? There's also a vaginal progestogen called Crinone that is mainly used to maintain pregnancy. It may be an option to cycle less frequently than monthly. You could discuss it with your doctor.

Avatar f tn I was so happy that at least that was better and the migraines went away so they must be associated with the rise in estrogen. After my surgery the constipation went away because they removed a rectovaginal cyst that was blocking and causing pain when I would have bowel movements. Now 4yrs after the surgery I do feel better but now my uterus is adhered to my bowels and my ovary attached to my uterus. I have cramping once in a while but I am now having side effects of the pill i think.
Avatar m tn At the age of one when she was put on cows milk the constipation issues returned. After struggling with on and off constipation I had put her on soy milk at the age of 4. Now, about 4 months later since I put her on soy milk I learned of the high estrogen content. I am concerned about this and wish to remove her from soy and try almond milk (she has no tree nut allergies). My concern is almond milk has very little protein.
659709 tn?1225234468 After menopause many women struggle with bladder issues since the lowered amount (or NO amount for women who had ovaries removed) of estrogen causes that area to atrophy and this changes the shape of the ureter... not fun. I am on supplemental estrogen and testosterone and yet there are some days I still have to practically stand on my head (almost...trying to empty the bladder) to finish "peeing" ...sorry!
Avatar f tn ve been taking some better probiotics and generic Colace and this has been amazing for me. All my bloating and constipation is gone. Took about 2-3 days but I feel so much better now. Also consider digestive enzymes. Get them on Amazon.
19784730 tn?1484269896 I am more depressed now than before the surgery. My GYM didn't take it seriously and suggested I see a professional in a GYM. WTF? Really?
Avatar n tn Hi Sandra, Granulosa cell tumors produce estrogen and estrogen levels are a good marker to evaluate for recurrence. I am not aware of any studies showing that estrogen causes these tumors to grow. I have pasted a very nice review from emedicine below. best wishes Background Three major types of ovarian neoplasms are described, with epithelial cell tumors (70%) comprising the largest group of tumors.
Avatar n tn Mainly now I am still dealing with the insomnia, panic, weight gain and constipation and the overall pain. What is this and why do I feel so crappy? I never knew menopause was so horrible AND I MEAN HORRIBLE. If someone had told me when I was in my 20s that... oh yeah and guess what when you hit your 50s your gonna wish you were dead rather than feel like you hit a wall physically (figuratively speaking) EVERYDAY. This is hell srsly. I never knew I would hit meno age and feel this poorly.
Avatar n tn I had a supracervical hyterectomy 5 years ago, and cannot take estrogen replacement of any kind, due to the extreme constipation it causes me. 5 years later, I am now having pain in my vaginal and cervical area, which seems now to only get worse when I try to apply any kind of feminine lubricant. The pain is so bad at times that it throbs. I have been to the emergency room 3 times for this over the past 5 years. I have been reading about "vulvodynia" and wonder if I have this.
Avatar f tn s assessment of my situation is correct and avoiding constipation will help with pain/discomfort and will stop the progression along with the use of the vaginal estrogen. Here's to hoping! Thanks for getting back to me. I will keep your advice in mind if this worsens.
613471 tn?1244201788 And have become pregnant 2 times, once resulting in a Tubal and a miscarriage and so i read on line about Vitex and decided to give it a try and stick to it and see and document my progress and this is what I have come up with. Not only has it helped shorten my period went from 8-9 days down to 5 days 3 of them being medium type bleeding. And 1 heavy day and a light day.
Avatar f tn This condition is caused by pregnancy/multiple childbirths with normal delivery through the vagina leading to weakening of the pelvic muscles, weakening and loss of tissue tone after menopause and loss of natural estrogen, being overweight or obese and its additional strain on pelvic muscles, and conditions leading to increased pressure in the abdomen such as chronic cough (with bronchitis and asthma), straining (with constipation), pelvic tumors (rare), or an accumulation of fluid in the abdom
Avatar m tn I have never taken a pill and yes I am virgin. I have gone to many sites and i think it can be that the colon is irritated but all the questions that have been asked before are from people that are way older than me, so it's kind of embarrassing.
Avatar f tn Told me my thyroid tests from August were fine, and that I was either getting low on Estrogen or was under too much stress. He prescribed me the lowest dose estrogen and said if I felt better than I would know that's what it was. If not, its probably stress and go back to my primary Dr. After 3 weeks on the estrogen, I do have a little more stamina and feel a little less tired.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
