Avatar n tn s estimated that more than 20% of dogs in the US have arthritis. You might call your veterinarian and ask about safe and approved arthritis medications for dogs. A good exam should also be done, along with blood work and a urinalysis to help determine what is ailing her. When was her last physical? Frequent urination can be a sign of anything from metabolic type of diseases to urinary tract infections to bladder stones.
Avatar f tn I have also been tested for rheumatoid arthritis and lupus and I do not have those and I do not have any other ones that I know of.
Avatar f tn Hi Squibby, I was on the Marshall Protocol but recently switched to Dr. David Jernigan's protocol. Estrogen is a no-no on the Marshall Protocol and there are good reasons why this is. If you would like information on the other protocol I'm doing (it doesn't involve antibiotics), please let me know. I have made much progress on the MP, but switched because, in my opinion, I found something that does the same thing... but it is safer.
Avatar f tn Has your doctor ever checked your blood level of estrogen or estradiol? Some women do better on the estrogen patch or one of the gels. And some find that they need some testosterone to function. I also use estradiol tablets but I insert mine vaginally and it seems to absorb better that way. I only need to do it 3x a week at this point.
Avatar f tn I also have a low white cell count of 2.9 and low red cell count. I have psoriatic arthritis and little red bumps on my stomache. The issue with the breast has just appeared...not sure if an infection could do somthing like that or not! Thanks again!
Avatar f tn I had only one little tumor that was invasive and estrogen receptive and I was reluctant to start Arimidex too... but my surgeon strongly suggested that it was better for me to take it for at least five years.Hoping that you will make the right decision after discussing it with your doctor.Best wishes and take care.
1931832 tn?1398880449 All results went well, I am not an Osteo-Arthritis candidate, and I am presently taking Alfa-Calcinol for calcium. but the thing is the pain and numbness reappears if I stopped the pain reliever. My question is, does the pain has to do with my hormones? do I need to take hormonal replacement pills? Will it lessen the pain on my knees as well? I dont wanna be independent on drugs specifically pain relievers..I need help..please.
Avatar n tn What does your dog weigh? Arthritis and its related pain are greatly improved by keeping your dog lean and eliminating any excess body weight. To check this you should be able to run your hands along either side of her ribs and easily feel but not see each rib and she should have a "waist" or a tucked up area just in front of the area where her back legs connect to her hind end.
Avatar f tn I had breast cancer and was treated and am 3 years out. With no estrogen in my body, I am noticing pain in my spine especially in my hips, lower back and knees. I believe this is artritist as a result of no estrogen because I had none of this before. Some kind of very low dose of estrogen or use of estrogen creme should be allowed to stop this pain. I know the doctors say NO ESTROGEN as the cancer will return. Well it may return on its own and I do not like to take this pain medication.
Avatar f tn I will be turning 39 later in the year and am 153 pounds. This is the highest I've ever weighed other than when I was pregnant with my son at age 21 when I went up to 145 from 95 pounds. After pregnancy, I went back down to 110 pounds. Ever since I was in high school, my bra size has been 32B, again, except when I was pregnant when they went up to a 40D. After pregnancy I went back down to a 32C and have been that size since.
Avatar f tn I was taking the hormones to help my bones, as I have osteopenia and rheumatoid arthritis. I am on prescription drugs to help the bones (Boniva and calcium and vit. d). I'm worried about breast cancer with continuing the hormones. I had a partial mastectomy on my right breast which was benign. I had a cluster of microcalcifications which looked supicious, but turned out to be benign (big sigh)! Okay now my question.
405855 tn?1217100767 What is the correlation of estrogen and follicles? What should the estrogen number be before ovulation. Can this number be affected if you are taking Femara. On CD11, I had 5 follis - 20, 15, 18, 17, 16, 12 but my estrogen was only 23, is it possible? My lining was so think 4 mm only.
Avatar f tn I remember that prior to starting treatment in Sept 09, I read somewhere that being post menopause would be a negative strike against me but I still opted to NOT take estrogen. I have been in surgical menopause since 1996, I took estrogen for 10 years and then quit because of the increased chance of breast cancer after taking estrogen so many years. I finished treatment (without taking estrogen since 2006) and I achieved SVR.
Avatar m tn I went through a serious bout of stress from my job a couple of years ago and ended up leaving. My hair thinned, I started getting fat round my waste and on my chest giving me the dreaded man boobs look. The stress and lack of sleep got so bad at times that I often forgot what day it was and could not sleep or stop my hands from shaking. Now the problem remains and I can't get rid of it. My DHEA is fine and so is my testosterone.
Avatar m tn three months ago I had Pnemonia and even with using bi -est, I am having hot flashes and night sweats which has never happened to me on a constant basis. My husband thinks the pnemunia/fever rearranged my hormones and it will take awhile for them to settle down. I am 57 and was pretty stable on the bi-est. has this ever happened to anyone else?? Thx!
429647 tn?1249753429 my ttumor was tested and it was estrogen positive i am on an estrogen blocker.. how about asking your doc if the tumor was estrogen positive or not.
Avatar f tn I am new to this forum, and new to the world of menopause. I recently had my last ovary removed due to cysts and endometreosis. I did not want to go through menopause or life with no estrogen at age 35, so I opted for the estrogen hormone therapy. I chose to go with the Estradiol patches. I think that it regulates the estrogen more efficiently and you can't forget to take a pill! Let me give you my two cents on your issues...know that I am not a dr., but am going through this myself.
587083 tn?1327120262 Soy and estrogen: I've read much conflicting information about this, but what I believe we can say for sure is that soy products (soy milk, tofu, edamame) supply a weak form of estrogen from plant sources, called phytoestrogens. With menopause your body stops making estrogen. Eating soy products seems to boost the estrogen a bit, but is that good? I was a regular consumer of soy milk, tofu, edamame and flax seed after menopause.
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
Avatar m tn Endometriosis feed off estrogen. The estrogen-dependent endo lesions, if left unchecked, will begin to create their own estrogen. I do want to clarify that the pill or any other form of HRT does not prevent the Endometriosis from growing. The reason it is used is to help stop the pain by stopping the periods. I was on a low dose BCP (Marvelon) for 8 yrs continuously and did help with my pain. However it still continued to grow even after deep excision surgery.
