Estradiol range levels

Common Questions and Answers about Estradiol range levels

I hope I font sound foolish, but what is ESTRADIOL and what does it mean if your levels are low/high???
You already have a normal testosterone level by each of the ways that we measure this. Ther is no place for giving you testostetrone any more than there is to give you insulin with your blood sugar being normal. You need to further discuss the fatigue issue with your physician. You mentioned depression and that can certainly cause you fatigue. Your question about aromatase inhibitors is one to address to an endocrinlogist (try a forum). S.A.Liroff, M.D.
For pg my RE told me they like the progesterone to be at least 21. He never mentioned the E2. Best of luck to you.
Your testosterone is about normal a lillte low for your age, but looking at your results I would say the cause of your problems is your high estradiol level. It is out of range. Did your doctor address this issue? That would cause gynecomastia. The most important thing to some doctors would be the ratio between free testosterone and estrogens. Your belly fat causes testosterone to be converted to estrogen. Your initial testosterone levels are ok, but would increase with healthier life choices.
Both of your levels indicate that you are in menopausal ranges but, your symptoms may not be reflective of that as is often the case in a lot of different things, including thyroid. May I ask why you are questioning these levels? Are you still having bleeding or periods?
tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct? My family doc didn't tell me what the normal ranges are and only said...."its normal", have a good weekend. Now, Im scheduled for an HSG on Thursday of next week, and you ladies absolutely helped me out on that.
what could cause such a reversal of results and what does the estradiol level mean in relation to the FSH level? I had an HSG which came back normal, I had an ultrasound done last year as well which during that time my RE saw an egg which he said looked healthy being ready to be released from my left ovary. I do not have ANY symptoms what-so-ever of PCOS or pre or peri menopause. My menstraul cycle is routine every 28-29 days on the money.
CD4 is just fine for the b/w, sometimes CD3 is not possible, especially if it falls on a weekend. I did CD4, too. Even if estrogen levels are in range, thyroid can still be low(sign of pcos). Did he mention anything about a thyroid panel? I found a site that is packed full of good info on pcos. I am still surprised your dr hasn't done an u/s to look at your ovaries to see if they are cystic. HTH http://www.advancedfertility.com/pcos.
Hello recd my blood work and was told I had an estradiol level 16 ..... (apparently is considered SUB-normal) my fsh was 5.9 and lh 5.. those #s I am ok with.. it's that estradiol # I find confusing and don't know what exactly it means.. does mean egg supply not good or eggs not getting enough nourishment and therefore they can't be fertilized.. any thoughts?
My estradiol level is 10L on a scale of (13-54pg/mL). My total testosterone is 375 ng. I was taking supplements to try and boost my testosterone PRIOR to test results...I don't know if that pushed me just above acceptable. If I understand the estradiol number that's 10,000 pg/mL. The test sheet says it out of range so I know it's either too high or too low. My doctor never commented on it and I was more concerned at first about testosterone.
Were any other androgen levels tests - LH, FSH, dhea sulfate, any testosterone levels, or SHBH? Estrogen and testosterone are related and estrogen comes from multiple sources.
Your estradiol level of 45 pg/ml appears well within range. You have an excellent level of total testosterone. Your TSH level of 3.68, though high, is not all that high. Again, TSH alone may not mean much, unless T3 and T4 are also measured. All I find wrong with your readings is the low level of free testo, which I think should have been much higher. But then the testo equations are often so confusing that only experts will be able to give a correct diagnosis of the problem.
Can anyone tell me what the normal range for estradiol is on day 2 of AF. I was reviewing my records and this # was almost blacked out on one of my reports. Can anyone that has some knowledge - let me know some feedback. I know the FSH and TSH look fine-These labs were done by my obgyn a few months ago-- not my RE Day 2 labs FSH, serum = 2.5 TSH = 2.22 Estradiol= 144.9 Prolactin (ECLIA meth)= 17.
6/15 TSH: 1.51 Range: 0.34 - 4.82 ulU/nl FT4: 0.67 Range: 0.77 - 1.61 ng/dl FT3: 3.03 Range: 2.10 - 3.90 PG/ML TPOab: <0.25 Range: 0.25 - 9.
All serum - 8 am(no sure what day of cycle cause of ablation and a bit hypertyroid) FSH 5.
My FSH and LH spiked . I saw a reputable RE and he has put me on estradiol 2MG to see if my levels come down. In the meantime, he wants to do an internal sonogram to look at ovaries. I was kind of perplexed and dumbfounded at my consultation with him as I think I was in shock b/c I was mensruating ok and had FSH and LH levels periodically checked with my TSH which always came back in the normal range. What is happening to me? Am I infertile?
Estradiol: 2.2 (ref range 3.0 - 10.0) FSH: 15.0 (ref range 3.5 - 12.5) LH: 8.6 (ref range 2.4 - 12.6) Any help would be great. Thanks!
I had my hormone and thyroid levels tested twice, and, while everything technically came back normal, my estradiol (52 pg/ml) level concerns me. I've read that anything below the 50 pg/ml mark is not a good sign. Is this true? Does this number suggest that I'm in the early stages of premature ovarian failure, or are there other causes of low estradiol? I have an appointment with an endocrinologist in February, but I'm really scared, and could use some information now. Thank you for your time.
Taken in conjunction with the FSH level, a higher level of E2 on day 3 may be masking the true FSH level. So, if FSH is in the normal range, and E2 is high, the FSH may actually be higher than the number given. My dr said that E2 isn't indicative of anything taken on it's own (unless one is on fertility medications), but must be considered in light of FSH. What was your wife's FSH level?
Been on anxiety drugs for 20 years and lately meds for depression Im tapering off prozac but still on wellbutrin and they added addrall to give me energy which it ddint,i went to a nurse paractioner and she put me on the lowesr dose of teh estraddiol patch,i had to take it aftert 3 days as i thought it was causiing stomach and eye problems i have now had it on for 6 days, but woke up this morning with heart racing and lots of anxiety..
But, in an ideal world, you would also be given a blood test to see what your levels are for estradiol. As great as testosterone is, you would not want to take it without making sure your levels of Estradiol is optimal (post menopausal it should be at least 90 to 1110 pg/ml). You need enough estradiol in your system in order for the testosterone to work the way it is meant to work.
OK, here are the rest of the test results: Estradiol: 38 (Standard Range is <20- pg/mL) LH: <1.0 (Standard Range is: <1.0- mIU/mL) TSH: 4.2 (Standard Range is: 0.2-5.5 uIU/mL) DHEA-S: 74 (Standard Range is: <85- ug/dL) Progesterone: (Still waiting for the results) OK, so my question is, Is all this normal for a child her age? Especially considering I had the same thing when I was her age?
The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why? All I want to know is why it is this way or what do i have?? I would like to know ASAP, it's driving me nuts.
In my case, I was kicked into a surgical menopause when both ovaries were removed during a total hysterectomy, but still, that level of estradiol in my system is something I watch like a hawk. My understanding is that your level of estradiol is just a few points above where it would not even register on a lab report. I think that any level below 30 pg/ml is considered pre-puberty level. And, here your doctor is brushing you off (my opinion).
There are probably charts and ranges out there, google estrogen levels in pregnancy or estradiol levels in pregnancy and you might get some hits. My IVF clinic says that the ranges of normal on hCG tests vary widely even in the same day. I don't know if that also applies to estradiol levels, but I would judge a chart or range more favorably if it mentions that the range of normal in hormone levels (even in early pregnancy) can vary. Good luck!
My reproductive endo says I am low in estrogen (I am 32) so I am contemplating some sort of hormone replacement therapy (Vivelle-dot and prometrium). My estradiol levels have come back repeatedly on the low end (in the 60's or 40's) but my FSH levels are normal. My last estradiol was taken on day 12 and it was 40 which is low but I don't have regular cycles. Honestly, I don't know if the low estradiol would cause the weight gain...
Not sure what bllod levels mean. FSH 51.2 mIU/mL and Estradiol, Ulra-sensitive <2 pg/mL. Does anyone know?
Hello, I am writing because I have lots of symptoms of PCOS and 5 years ago I went through fertiltiy and found that I have PCOS, but now 5 years later I had my hormone levels taken just by family doctor and they say they are normal but what is normal. Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab. Estradiol (estrogen) 26 pg/mL FSH 5.0 mIU/mL LH 12.2 mIU/mL These are the ones they have done. What does this mean?
She's extremely sensitive to cold, sensitive to light(sometimes it causes her to vomit or pass out) We're worried that the ranges of normality might be off considering she's a pretty tiny person and i guess wouldn't have the same range of normality as someone who is of average height and weight or someone that hasn't been on birth control on and off since they were 14 Theories have been put forth that it could be either depression in general (it absolutely isn't), 1.
