I had bloodwork done today (cd4 - but it shiould have been cd3) I had my FSH and estradiol tested, they said that the results were "great" . I didn't have a pen when they called with them, but i think one was 46 and the other was 6 or 9. Anyhow what does that mean? You probably already know this, but if your estradiol is elevated, it can artificially suppress your FSH. Can you have your FSH rechecked? I was supposed to get mine done on Sat but I blew it off. Hi, everybody. I've been experiencing hot flashes, hair loss, irregular periods, and dry eyes for several months. I had my hormone and thyroid levels tested twice, and, while everything technically came back normal, my estradiol (52 pg/ml) level concerns me. I've read that anything below the 50 pg/ml mark is not a good sign. Is this true? Does this number suggest that I'm in the early stages of premature ovarian failure, or are there other causes of low estradiol?

It suggests that the SHBG level is too low and it could be an indicator of Type 2 Diabetes. With such high value of free testo, if you further supplement more testo, your testes production may further come down so that added testo may not have an effect and may not be required either.
