This same day, I started bio-identical hormone therapy in the form of estrogen and testosterone pellets. The blood tests also revealed I was hypothyroid. The Dr prescribed Armour thyroid, 1gr per day. I started gaining weight immediately. The first month after starting BRT, I gained 8 lbs. I was also extremely tired. I had another hormone blood panel done and it revealed I was still low in estrogen. The Dr inserted an estrogen “booster” pellet at this time.

I've gotten the hormone replacement pellets three times prior to this last one, about 4 months apart. Wonderful outcomes with those, except for maybe the last 2-3 weeks before it was time to get reinserted, I really felt the absence to the hormones and decided I need to go with every 3 months, vs. 4 months. Well, after feeling very blah for a my usual time before the reinsert, I go to get it (very happily!) and wait for the good stuff to hit. And wait. And keep waiting.

I had my first estradiol and testosterone implants and am taking progesterone pills at night. My hot flashes have stopped and my libido has improved some, but I'm bloated like I've never been before-even when I had regular periods. There are many varieties of localized estradiol now. I have used Estrace in the past (you use if initially for two weeks vaginally and then about three days a week after that) and I am about to start the Vagi-string, I think it is called. It is also Estradiol (make sure to ask for this and not a synthetic localized product...there is a huge difference). It is used in just that part of the body and will work to keep things moist and vital.

Hi Bob and Angela, I had a hysterectomy 21 years ago with removal of ovaries. For the last 4 years, I've used bioidentical hormone pellets. These pellets are implanted under the skin of my hip. I get estrogen and testosterone. Estrogen for hot flashes, night sweats, dry skin, anxiety. moodiness. Testosterone for my sex drive. Prior to the pellets, I was on estrogen and managed those symptoms. For 16 years, I had little sex drive.

Thanks all if this info is so helpful. The pellets are estrogen & testosterone pellets as I had a hysterectomy & thought I needed some replacement if those. I was due to gave more placed & because I had no improvement we ordered the hormone tests. I wanted tested b4 we started but was told no. Oh well I am not going to get more pellets & just work on the thyroid/Hashi's & if we get rinse numbers right then I think those should come in line by the sounds of the above info.

I have been managed with testosterone pellets implanted every four months since age 58. I recently had my thyroid removed and am balancing the Synthroid doses to TSH. The surgery was at a low for pellets. Are there really any issues with t4 binding proteins,regulation of thyroid function, and testosterone pellets? Some sites posit a possible interaction others say no.

I found that my hcg source has sublingual pellets. Has anyone tried those? I'm very tempted since I'm always questioning my self if I gotten the right amount of drops or not.

I have tried the creams and they too just made me itch. There is more to bioidentical hormones than creams, gels and patches. They also come in pellets that are implanted by a doctor under the skin on your hip. I'm 54 with a total hysterectomy 20 years ago. I've been through the gamut of hrt. Hi, I am concerned about the shape of my stool. It is thin pencil shaped pellets. Its been like that for a couple of years now. I have a problem of loose stool a few times a day since 12 years. I had been on Androgel for low testosterone, but it did nothing, so I started testosterone therapy replacement using pellets, a newer procedure. I am 65. After 7 days, I was hit with overwhelming anxiety, panic, the yawns. Today it is a bit better- Today is day 8. I had no idea that testosterone replacement could cause anxiety. I took the stuff because I had anxiety, that Celexa had done a tremendous job of helping. I had to take a Klonopin last night because I was so anxious.

I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.

How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.

I've been pooping yellow pellets about an inch long. I've been taking 10 in One from GBG, and one of it's "side" effects is that it gets rid of fat. Perhaps this is the cause. but, I need an answer here, because I'm freaking out!

I've been taking natural progesterone (Progon B pellets,by Bezwecken) for the last 10 months and I've also tried their cream. For myself, I found that the pellets, which I let completely dissolve under my tongue works alot better than the cream to increase my progesterone levels.
