I personally found generic Estrace (micronized estradiol tablets) to work better for me than the patch. And a bonus is that it is a $4 (for 30) / $10 (for 90) prescription whereas I think I was paying $70 for a 3 month supply of patches.
I start using dhea micronized 25 mg twice a day for egg health issue but I am feeling pain in my left breast . Is it side effect ?
I have heard that endocrinologists are not all they are "cracked up to be." Is this a primary care or gynecologist who will not prescribe Estrace tablets? Estrace is "bio-ID" (micronized estradiol) just like the gel but he probably does not like that it is oral since that has a higher clot risk. I do not swallow my tablets. I dissolve them between cheek and gum which pretty much bypasses the first pass through the liver.
Hello everyone.. What is the difference between progesterone and micronized progesterone. Doctor has asked for Progestron tablets but someone boigjt amocrinized progesterone. Can we still ear it.

My wife has PCOS and a very short luteal phase (~5 days). They prescribed her micronized progesterone suppositories (200mg, bd) during the first trimester.
But we found a few articles indicating prenatal exposure to progesterone may have a significant effect in the baby's long term sexual behavior/development.

How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.
It is hard to predict. The higher levels of estrogen may promote the midcycle LH surge, which is what urine OPKs look for. If this happens, the surge might come a couple of days earlier. This is called positive feedback. On the other hand, the higher estrogen levels my inhibit LH (this is called negative feedback) delaying the surge. You will need to test for ovulation to find out.
m in my late 30s - the first month I was tested, my estradiol was 374 and my FSH 5.2. The next month my estradiol dropped to 87 and my FSH increased to 10.1.

I got the results of my bloodwork today and my FSH is 6.34, LH - 2.46 and Estradiol 96.3. Can anyone say if this looks good especially the estradiol?
I want enough estradiol in me to make sure I can string a sentence together, avoid depression, have a sex drive, have better word retrival, have strong bones, less moodiness, have good heart function, no cramping in legs (the worst when I am low in my estradiol)... no foot problems (yes... when estradiol was too low for a few years...bad doc's advice... yuk,... I ended up having to have surgery on both feet).. no joint pain... I could go on and on and on.
Did they test your Estradiol? Estradiol can suppress fsh, so that could be why you fsh was so low. From what I understand cysts sometime increase Estradiol. I currently have a cyst, but my Estradiol came back under 50 with was good.
I have a high fsh, between 18-20, but one cycle it was 5 and my Estradiol was 80 which meant it was suppressing my fsh.

Another is a vaginal preparation called crinone applied once a day (available in the USA and Canada, not sure about availability in Europe). A third medication, micronized progesgerone, is also given intravaginally two or three times daily. Cyclogest is an intravaginal progesterone delivery system available in Europe but not the USA.
My feeling is that all ways of giving progesterone are equivalent.
I started a cycle of Clomid on cycle days 3-7. On day 3 i had labe done and my estradiol level was 40. I went and got my labs done on day 21 of my cycle and my estradiol level was 837. its flagged high and is about 400 over the reference range.
20%). The results page says my estradiol is out of range. it says 10L with a range of 13-54 pg/mL. Does 10 Liters convert to 10,000 mL which is 185times the normal maximum range. I didn't have cortisol measured.
My Dr. said Testosterone was fine. He never mentioned anything about the estradiol level. He suggested I had depression. I've had chronic anxiety but don't feel depressed. We've tried a few SNRI's. It's been 2 1/2 months since tests results.
