I don't know where to turn since my provider isn't very knowledgeable about this, so maybe you can help me with this, as I'm thinking of changing to Menostar from Vivelle-dot. The data I have is: Menostar (estradiol transdermal system) 14 mcg per day - each 3.25 cm2 system contains 1 mg of estradiol. Vivelle-Dot® (estradiol transdermal system), 0.025 mg/day - each 2.5 cm² system contains 0.

I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.

My estrogen level is 1140 which has me very concerned why it is this high. I do take estradiol 2 mg, but from what i have researched with HRT it should not be higher than 340. Does this mean it could be caused from ovarian cancer or are my labs just out of whack because of estradiol dose being too high??

I started that on Friday morning.I am also on 1 mg estradiol vaginal inserts 3x a week. I am not waking up and then sweating but I wake up and get warm and clammy. Its very frustrating but noone else has had any ideas on what is the cause. My previous hormone specialist prescribed a vaginal cream of estrogen/progesterone and testosterone.

Was wondering why I am itching all over. My dr. increased my dosage from 1 mg to 2 mg. Could this increase have something to do with my itching?

Took my 1st Femara today. Got my results back and my FSH is 7.2, Estradiol is 51 and LH is 2.7. Anyone had any experience with Femara?

I'm taking estrace 4 mg daily and have also taken estradiol before, and have not had a problem with vertigo. Why do you associate it with the estradiol? I thought positional vertigo had to do with little calcifications in the inner ear breaking off wherever they are attached and floating around. Do you think this comes from estrogen use? I had heard it came from something else.

i am pcos and trying to conceive i tried 50mg of clomid and last 100mg now my doctor wants to try provera again because my period want start on its own when my period start he wants me to take estradiol on day 3 it that oral medication or an injectables what does it really means

I was put on Estradiol 1 mg. did well for one year. Then started getting severe hot flashes and facial hair growth, wasn't sleeping well either. So, I took it upon myself to stop the Estradiol. Oh my goodness, what a huge mistake! I use Vivelle Estradiol... climara is good, too. Newer research indicates that Estradiol (the kind of estrogen we had pumping through us in our 20's) is the only way to go. The book I mentioned a thousand times has been the most helpful to me. "Screaming to be Heard" by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet is an amazing (and huge) book. Don't let it overwhelm you. You have to do the reseach on this stuff or it will get the better of you.

Chances are that the HRT triggered the bleeding and it's nothing serious. But all post-menopausal bleeding should be investigated to be sure all is ok. Interestingly, an atrophied lining can cause bleeding due to instability yet the risk of cancer is extremely low when the lining is thin.

t have PCOS, but I was not ovulating regularly. I took 50 MG of CLomid and then was on estradiol supplements to increase my uterine lining as it was way too thin.
