216278 tn?1308861082 Above is correct they are to be above 10 to maintain a pregnancy....I came in at 11 at 6 wks pregnant and was on supplements for 7 wks until the placenta took over production of progestrone.
Avatar n tn t due to go back until my pregnancy test 10/7. However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy. From what the pharmacist told me, progesterone is the pregnancy hormone and will go up if pregnant and typically estrogen would too if it wasn't IVF.
Avatar n tn Progesterone: 5.84 FSH: 8.7 Estradiol: 109 Considering my age, and from my limited knowledge, it seems like my FSH and Estradiol levels are not out of whack. However, could you please let me know what you think about my progesterone level. It seems low to me. Also, of course if you have any input as to my FSH and Estradiol levels, I would love to hear it.
Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
Avatar n tn Has anyone had this issue, with non measuring follicles (they say I have several on each side but all under 10 mm) and estridiol levels dropping? I had an ectopic pregnancy last year and am working with only one tube the way it is. This is so frustrating. Not to mention expensive!
Avatar f tn s ranges show a max non-pregnancy and non-menopausal value of estradiol to be 498 pg/mL and estrone 268 pg/mL. Estradiol can exceed 4300 in the first trimester of pregnancy. And post-menopausal levels are less than 54 and less than 65, respectively.
1418198 tn?1483277496 I hope I font sound foolish, but what is ESTRADIOL and what does it mean if your levels are low/high???
Avatar n tn i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements? we've been ttc for over three years and i have had the fertily workup done back then and there is no blockage in my tubes, or anything.
Avatar f tn I am 53 and have been in menopause for over a year. No oeriod in 10 months. I have recently gained about 8 pounds in the last two months, change in bowel habits, sore breasts. Just been feeling that my period is coming but it doesn't. Called my doctor to check my hormone levels. My estradiol went from less then 15 to 454. Not on any hormone therapy except for OTC Estroven. Hot flashes have stopped maybe because my estrogen has gone nuclear.
Avatar n tn That is, she checked my hormone levels merely as a part of my annual pyshical. All serum levels in my basic chemistry panel, CBC plus differential, thyroid panel, and urine analysis were normal except my estradiol. It was 84 with a lab range with an upper limit of 54. My testosterone was normal at 630 and my DHEA was normal at 265. I am thin and I have no masses on the testicles that can be felt. But, i am nervous about the elevated estradiol.
Avatar f tn Taken in conjunction with the FSH level, a higher level of E2 on day 3 may be masking the true FSH level. So, if FSH is in the normal range, and E2 is high, the FSH may actually be higher than the number given. My dr said that E2 isn't indicative of anything taken on it's own (unless one is on fertility medications), but must be considered in light of FSH. What was your wife's FSH level?
216278 tn?1308861082 I have posted a picture of the graph of my hormone levels when they did the full panel and I put the numbers in a journal to correspond with it! I know that the acupuncturist and OB thought my levels were low, but now I am worried that if I raise the estrogen too much, if it will prevent a pregnancy! Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated!
Avatar f tn Can you check these levels yourself or is this something you have to go in and have a doctor do? Only curious because I've been considering going in to seek professional advice too. I'm 29, TTC for 6 months and no signs of ovulation or baby at all. Never been on BC, had a miscarriage or an abortion. I'm curious what my estradiol and FsH levels are. Best wishes to you, sprinkling baby dust your way!
Avatar f tn I was told it is unlikely this pregnancy will result in a baby. Due to slow raising numbers. She is now 13.
Avatar f tn My progesterone/estradiol levels were a little crazy too post-transfer. My re's nurse said as long as they stayed above 20 then all was good (progesterone). Honestly now that I think about it, I don't think they did only one estradiol test after my transfer. In fact, the highest number I got on my progesterone level was 62 - most often it was in the upper 30's so I think you're doing just fine - congrats on your pregnancy!
Avatar m tn There are some hereditary conditions in which males have elevated estradiol levels. Also some endocrine syndromes. MOST of the time, the excess estrogen is produced in excess adipose tissue. Usually estrogen is converted into testosterone, but in some cases, this fails to happen. This is the type of case in which something like Aromasin might help.
Avatar f tn I'm 44 and have had very sporadic periods for a couple of years. My last period was last July. I had a blood test a couple of weeks ago and my doctor has confirmed perimenopause. My fsh was 58 and my estradiol was 223. He said that explained why I had had any "normal" menopause symptoms and said it means I don't need to consider hrt yet. Having Googled it seems unusual for estradiol levels to still be so high. Does anyone know what it might mean?
647365 tn?1292472212 I think the estradiol levels usually are about 200 per mature follicle...but that would be right before ovulation, so I'm sure your numbers went up in the four days before your IUI.
1386249 tn?1303092096 I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?
374593 tn?1257879950 E2 levels supposed to be 200-600 per mature follicle at the time of the trigger. Elevated E2 I think indicates overstimulation. Good luck to yoou this cycle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn I know people who had higher estradiol levels when their ovaries were resting. 19 seems SO low! I just hope that I am a slow responder and that with the up'd meds, my levels will increase. I'm only 29, so I can't imagine not responding to stims. Who knows though. Nothing would surprise me at this point.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry; you're right that I meant LH level, not FSH level. Clearly I am not a doctor! I appreciate your help and am wondering if this changes your answer? Also, do you think that the 500mg B6 supplement I've been taking could cause my LH and Estradiol levels to be low? Thanks so much!
Avatar n tn Anyone know if it is safe to continue DHEA during pregnancy if the doctor monitors blood levels? My day 3 levels on 6/5/09 were good: Total Testosterone 55.1, Estradiol-6 24.3, Dhea-S 603.1, and FSH 6.4 I also welcome comments from anyone who had naturally high DHEA levels and a successful pregnancy, so I know that DHEA will not harm my pregnancy. Thank you so much for taking to time to respond. My doctor knows nothing about DHEA so I am on my own.
398459 tn?1262186144 TSH 1.88, FSH 7.1, prolactin 24.4, and estradiol 46.4. My MD said after the first test that the results indicated decreased ovarian reserve due to the FSH level. After the second test, he said only that even though my FSH level was normal, it "still doesn't bode well for pregnancy". That is all that I was told. Any thoughts? How "abnormal" (or normal) are my results? Will IVF be an option for me? Thanks for the help...
