398459 tn?1262186144 TSH 1.88, FSH 7.1, prolactin 24.4, and estradiol 46.4. My MD said after the first test that the results indicated decreased ovarian reserve due to the FSH level. After the second test, he said only that even though my FSH level was normal, it "still doesn't bode well for pregnancy". That is all that I was told. Any thoughts? How "abnormal" (or normal) are my results? Will IVF be an option for me? Thanks for the help...
Avatar m tn I took a saliva test to test my Estrogen levels (Estradiol) and I'm confused about the results. I'm sure its just a conversion thing but I can't seem to find any information on it. I have read that a normal Estradiol range for men is between 20 pg/ml and 40 pg/ml, however my numbers look a little different and I'm not sure how to compare.
507564 tn?1243193855 Thanks for your comments...I checked the reference and the highest reference is 400 and that is for a different time I had my blood drawn. Mine should be under 80 for the time I had it....that's why I am so concerned. What does high estradiol mean? All other lab results look perfect.
Avatar f tn What are the reference ranges shown on your report for the Free T4 and Free T3? Ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own report, so we can see where your results fall within those ranges. Also, is you have the results of your estradiol results, could you please post them, along with their reference range? We must have adequate hormones in order to live healthy lives. The hormones that are bad for us are those that are given in excess or those fed to animals we eat, etc.
Avatar f tn Did they test your Estradiol? Estradiol can suppress fsh, so that could be why you fsh was so low. From what I understand cysts sometime increase Estradiol. I currently have a cyst, but my Estradiol came back under 50 with was good. I have a high fsh, between 18-20, but one cycle it was 5 and my Estradiol was 80 which meant it was suppressing my fsh. Hope you get some answers!
Avatar n tn All serum levels in my basic chemistry panel, CBC plus differential, thyroid panel, and urine analysis were normal except my estradiol. It was 84 with a lab range with an upper limit of 54. My testosterone was normal at 630 and my DHEA was normal at 265. I am thin and I have no masses on the testicles that can be felt. But, i am nervous about the elevated estradiol. My doctor seems not alarmed and will be repeating the test.
Avatar f tn Ranges can vary a bit by lab. However, they should not be radically different. Estradiol, estrone, and estriol are forms of estrogen with estradiol and estrone being the primary (and maybe only) systemic forms of estrogen. My lab's ranges show a max non-pregnancy and non-menopausal value of estradiol to be 498 pg/mL and estrone 268 pg/mL. Estradiol can exceed 4300 in the first trimester of pregnancy. And post-menopausal levels are less than 54 and less than 65, respectively.
6021725 tn?1378407875 We need to have all the reference ranges for any blood tests posted, since ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report. Is TSH the only thyroid related test that was done? If you had Free T3 and Free T4, please post them, with reference ranges. How long ago did you have your hysterectomy? Once you have a total hysterectomy, you are automatically thrown directly into menopause, so yes, your symptoms could be from either, hypo or menopause (or both).
Avatar f tn Obtaining a day 3 FSH and estradiol Take 2 tablets of clomiphene (100 mg) on days 5-9 of the cycle Repeat an FSH level on day 10 of the cycle The normal Clomid challenge test result is a low FSH on day 3, a low estradiol on day 3 and a low FSH on day 10. Cut off values for the day 3 and the day 10 FSH values are assay dependent and must be determined by experience with the lab being used.
Avatar f tn Is your estrogen or estradiol result on your lab report marked as high? Typically, when reporting any lab results, any that are below or above the range are flagged as "L" or "H" / "low" or "high", respectively.
374593 tn?1257879950 I had bloodwork done today (cd4 - but it shiould have been cd3) I had my FSH and estradiol tested, they said that the results were "great" . I didn't have a pen when they called with them, but i think one was 46 and the other was 6 or 9. Anyhow what does that mean? Also If they are concerned that I not only have severe endo, but maybe mild PCOS, does having normal lab values on the FSH and estradiol mean that I dont' have PCOS? (I have normal periods every month!
Avatar f tn I recently had some lab-work done, yet I am confused as to what the results mean. All my Physian said was to worry about dropping weight vs. my result #s, yet I am still curious as to what the mean. My FSH is 2.0 and Estradiol 41pg/ml. Any feedback is greatly appreciated lay it on me regardless of if it is good OR bad. Thank you in advance.
Avatar f tn Start of my third week suppression, i was given a shot of gonal f for 225 ui for 5 days, after my lab test, estradiol is low and follicles are not present. dosage was increase to 375 ui for 3 days and still, estradiol is low and no follicles seen. doctor advised to cancel the ivf due to abandon cycle and try next cycle again with an increase dosge of 450ui. Why is it that my body is not responding to gonal f even though the dosage has been increased? Is there a problem?
Avatar n tn Dr, I recently started the Chinese Herbal Medicine treatment for fertility, focusing on tonifying kidney and boosting circulation. The latest Day3 blood test shows an elevated Estradiol above 70 and lowered FSH around 6, compared to my test last year's level of FSH around 8 and Estradiol in mid 40's. I am 39 years old.
Avatar f tn Are you being seen for hypothyroidism or for a pituitary issue? Do you have the actual lab results that you could post for us, so we can see what's going on? Be sure to post the reference ranges, as well, as those vary lab to lab and have to come from your own report. Do you mean HGB, instead of HGP? I don't know what HGP is, so hopefully, it's on the lab report.
Avatar f tn I have been feeling like garbage recently and have not been able to find a doctor who can help. I recently went through my lab results from September and see my Estradiol is <5.00 pg/mL. I am also on Lo Loestrin. Can the birth control be causing the very low numbers, my PCOS, something else? The numbers are those of someone in menopause, so it is a bit concerning. Any insight is appreciated!
Avatar n tn 3.9 uiu/ml...rest test not done nd i dont know.... I am 21 , married, no kids....i have a swollom kind of abdomen...luk pregnant....rest body is thin...... my menstrual cycle is also irregular........ My question is do i have pcos?or bcos of hypothyroid my other hormones were abnormal ?
Avatar f tn You are woefully low in Estradiol, which is the lab result I understand completely. I am on my way to work, but try to go to Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet's website where there are Radio Archives and other information. After reading my posts, you'll see why, in my opinion, her work is very helpful.
Avatar f tn Can anyone tell me what these test results mean for a woman who is almost 41 and is going to try, for the first time, to concieve? I received them by fax yesterday and my follow-up consultation with my doctor is two weeks away. Thank you. FSH 5.76 LH 1.07 Estradiol 59.
Avatar f tn So results should always be compared to ranges from the lab report. Please re-post your test results and add reference ranges. Also, for the estradiol, progesterone, testosterone and DHEA-S, are the ranges age-adjusted ranges? Or does the lab report list several ranges for each, based on age? Are you anywhere near Atlanta?
1281900 tn?1320336402 Hi, if the result is 3rd day bloodwork test? TSH is Cumulative Thyroid Function Test, reference level is within 0.40 - 4.00 mu/L, ESTRADIOL is E2, if is 3rd, then should be <100 pmol/L, yours is fine. FSH <10 is good. Can't read yours of 5/5/2010. In general, at your age, the result is very good. I had one 3rd day done in March this yr with the similar result. But definitely need ur dr to explain as they all have different ideas of even the same numbers. Hope it helps.
