estradiol injections

Im taking progesterone capsules ,HCG injections weekly ,aspirin delayed release tablets and estradiol valerate tablets 2mg 3 times a day. I don't know what the last one does . Can anyone help me please .

its been my 4th gonal pen actually but im just confused about the outcome..yesterday ive got very low estradiol..considering im on my 9th shots and still no sore BBs,cramping..w/c is very confusing..bec with my previous cycle last oct when i took my very first shots-im getting this feelings of crampings/sore bbs..is it possible that i get different reactions but using the same injectibles/same dosage..im just curious up to now..

Which are better? I'm on injecctions, 1ml of progesterone a day, and 0.2 estradiol every 3rd day. But I've seen many web pages that say the jelly is better...vaginal suppositories? That they provide a higher pregnancy rate. is this true?

Hi everyone, I am 25 yrs old and TTC. You'll have to forgive me I'm not familiar w/all the abreviations yet, lol! My Dr. says I am VERY fertile and is worried about fertility meds so she has been taking it very slow w/medications. I went through 2 rounds of Clomid but never had any follicle's mature.

Is it normal to continue to take Estradiol after finding you are pregnant after doing IVF? I had to get a refill on the estradiol requested by my doctor but I noticed on the cautions label it said "Do Not Take This Med If Pregnant"? Is this normal?

I have never had any blood work. Recently I have heard people talking about testing estradiol levels to confirm that the egg is maturing adn not just the follicle. I am wondering how common this is, and is it really nessesary. We know that my follicles are maturing and getting to a good size, is it possible that the egg inside them is not? Thank you so much!!

I would like to thank all of you in advance for responding to my questions during this very anxious and stressful period. My husband I both have insurance through our work and we are covered by both insurances. The reason for taking two insurances in the first place was because we weren't sure which doctor would accept what insurance.

What seems to work best to raise your hormone levels to where they need to be are WEEKLY injections of between .5 and 1 cc of testosterone. Be sure your doctor monitors your levels monthly including your estradiol (estrogen) levels. When your proper testosterone levels are achieved, continue to monitor your estradiol levels monthly for up to 6 months. If they rise too high, a drug that is normally used for females with breast cancer called Arimidex will take care of the problem.

My doctor put me on Lupron injections for 6 months. I ended up going to see her before the treatment was done due to increased pain and bleeding. 3 months ago I bleed for almost 2 months straight and still have severe pelvic pain. My doctor decided to test my estradiol levels and they were in the 80s. She informed me they should be below 20. She gave me a double-dose of the Lupron to see if it would jump start my system.

Once your follicles are at a certain size, the injections stop. Depending on your dosage, you can hyperstimulate if not careful. Did your DR. test your estradiol level? Sasparilla is correct .... with your IUI being today, your last shot should have been yesterday if not sooner. Good luck!

I received my first hormone shot about 4 weeks ago...and strarted with estradiol also at that time...1 mg....ever since that time, I have been having a shock sensation all over my body, and can't pinpoint any particular place or time, just very sporatic and very very bothersome. I have read where hormone levels could possibly cause this?

So my Endo increased the dosage to 10mg, and still no change in energy or mood. We then switched to Enanthate injections - I had my first last week of 75mg, and I felt a little better for 2 days and then the effects are gone again. Might there be some other problem associated with the way my body absorbs and uses Testosterone? Even after the injection I'm feeling down, low energy, and can cry at the slightest little thing - my emotions are all out of whack.

At 20 years old I was given Lupron injections for experimental treatment for the mildest class of endometriosis possible (HORRIBLE advice from my doc back then). Aside from taking all the meds that make me so bloated and cramped all the time, I have to give myself Lupron and Estradiol injections into my own stomach! Ouch!!!! My stomach is all purple from the shots. Then there's the extremely painful egg retrieval! Letroz was helping till day 22 and max size attained was 12 mm only. After that next month in addition to Letroz I was given FSH injections on day 5 and day 7. I agree with most of what jayjay30 had to share. What I don't get, is why your urologist or endo haven't tested your estradiol, total estrogen's,and DHEA. These are equally important especially the ratios of total testosterone to total estrogen's(ideal range 80-120) and estradiol to free testosterone(less than1.0).Mac, your testosterone could be converting to estrogen and this aromatization may need to be curtailed.

The AF was late for 2 days since I have regular cycles on 27-28 days. The new cycle I started with FSH injections on CD3 and I continued with lupron injections, also started with vaginal pills on CD5. Yesterday was CD7 and I started bleeding like I got AF (medium flow) from 11a.m till 11p.m. talked with medical sisters and Obgyn. said to continue with therapy. t nervous until I received and saw the amount of medication involved in the process. I have been prescribed Follistim, Menopur, HCG, Prednisone, Estradiol, Doxycycline and Endometrium I don't know what all of this is for yet but I'm reading. Does anyone know whether I will be taking the 4 injections at the same time or during different times during my cycle? Are there usually any physical restrictions or should we abstain from sex during the process?

i took estrace/estradiol from CD21 until my AF two cycles. not sure if lupron is just a brand name for estrace. but i was not told to abstain from TTC beforehand. i asked why and RE said if you do not get AF 14 DPO then they will do a preg test and take you off. but it does not harm the baby.

Hi there!! I'm trying for baby # 3. Son born Dec '05, first try at natural IUI. Daughter born July '08, first try using IUI with puregon injections. Now, I'm on second cycle for baby number three (HOPING)!! Anyway, I'm 37 years old, and this morning had ultrasound showing three follies, all of 19mm, and all on my left side. Was using mild stimulation - 75iu of puregon. Uterus lining was 10. My first cycle failed with two follies of 19mm and 16mm.
