Avatar f tn It sounds high to me and I cannot find any definite answers online. Any information is greatly appreciated as this has me worried. Thank you.
7649183 tn?1393014236 Menostar (estradiol transdermal system) 14 mcg per day - each 3.25 cm2 system contains 1 mg of estradiol. Vivelle-Dot® (estradiol transdermal system), 0.025 mg/day - each 2.5 cm² system contains 0.39 mg of estradiol USP for nominal* delivery of 0.025 mg of estradiol per day. Since the Menostar patch is applied once/weekly and contains 1 mg of estradiol, then that's around .14 mg/day (the data says .014 mg/day). The Vivelle-dot is applied twice/weekly and contains .
Avatar f tn My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results: FSH first test: 6.2 second test: 6.8 LH first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was second test: 7.9 Estradiol first test: not sure, but normal apparently second test: 52 I'm a little concerned about the estradiol. A few sources I've checked online have said that an estradiol level of above 50 can mask a high FSH. Is this true?
Avatar f tn Having a hard time finding any information on high estradiol levels. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn Hi Vicki, I just have a second (off to work and no computer at work) but I wanted to say that I did a quick search and found that the patch you are on is in fact a bioidentical estradiol, which, in my opinion, is the only way to go...
1651832 tn?1301690605 Hi....I am new here. I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy on May 13th, 2011 (including my ovaries). I've been dealing with severe bleeding issues for over a year now and have tried a few different things before deciding to go with a hysterectomy. My maternal grandmother had ovarian uterine cancer and died when she was 39. My mom had a complete hysterectomy in her early 30's (she passed away 7 years ago from bone cancer). There is also heart disease on both sides of my family.
Avatar f tn Hi, everybody. I've been experiencing hot flashes, hair loss, irregular periods, and dry eyes for several months. I had my hormone and thyroid levels tested twice, and, while everything technically came back normal, my estradiol (52 pg/ml) level concerns me. I've read that anything below the 50 pg/ml mark is not a good sign. Is this true? Does this number suggest that I'm in the early stages of premature ovarian failure, or are there other causes of low estradiol?
216278 tn?1308861082 Hi! I am 2dpo and I started an Estradiol patch today to wear for the next week and a half. Of course, I am starting to second guess everything (typical start of my tww) Does anyone know if this could raise my estrogen TOO much, thus hurting my chances for pregnancy? I have posted a picture of the graph of my hormone levels when they did the full panel and I put the numbers in a journal to correspond with it!
Avatar f tn Now when I get them, I take note of it since it tells me that I may need to either increase my dose of estradiol or that I need to change my estradiol patch sooner... (I use the Vivelle patch.. a bioidentical estradiol transdermal patch). Years ago I had all of this checked out by a Cardiac doctor who told me I had benign tacycardia, but we did not discuss how ovarian levels of estradiol affects our heart and how palpatations can occur when things are not at optimal levels.
Avatar n tn any way i didnt have my periods after 2ms after the miscarriage so on jan 5th i went to the dr to start trying again so he prescribe me provera for 10days and clomid 3-7days and on estradiol 8-12days...my questions to u is combine this med is there a chance for me to cenceive?and with pcos should i start the clomid a little bet later cuz my ovulation is always late?and should i still take the robitussin and the baby aspirin?
2002523 tn?1327612787 It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
374593 tn?1257879950 I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
1809377 tn?1316520328 Even so, sometimes they will atrophy about three to six months after a hysterectomy and so you might experience a drop in Estradiol and a drop in Testosterone. If, of course, you have your ovaries removed, then you have lost your ability to create the sex hormones and will most likely choose to use supplemental estradiol and a little bit of testosterone. That's what I have done and it's made a world of difference in more ways than just in the area of sexual response.
Avatar n tn I'm glad I checked this forum tonight! I'm so sorry to hear that your partner has had such a rough go of it. There's a great website which has a ton of good information, in my opinion. It's called, "A Survivors Guide to Menopause..." Google that and you should get it. It is quite exhaustive, but this is an exhaustive topic as it seems you are imagining.
Avatar n tn t been able to find information on a correlation between the female reproductive system and the thighs.
Avatar n tn I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.
Avatar f tn I went to my doctor again two months ago, and he had my FSH, LH, estradiol, and progesterone levels tested, as he said there was a small chance that I could be experiencing premature ovarian failure. He said the results were normal. I had all the tests done again last month (including thyroid), and again, I was told everything was still normal. My doctor put me on birth control (Tri-Sprintec) this month in hopes that my symptoms would level out.
709441 tn?1233340088 I use Vivelle Estradiol... climara is good, too. Newer research indicates that Estradiol (the kind of estrogen we had pumping through us in our 20's) is the only way to go. The book I mentioned a thousand times has been the most helpful to me. "Screaming to be Heard" by Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet is an amazing (and huge) book. Don't let it overwhelm you. You have to do the reseach on this stuff or it will get the better of you.
