Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
797256 tn?1237636468 Hello, I am writing because I have lots of symptoms of PCOS and 5 years ago I went through fertiltiy and found that I have PCOS, but now 5 years later I had my hormone levels taken just by family doctor and they say they are normal but what is normal. Can anyone help me? I don't have periods, I grow hair in places you don't want and more here are the lab results from lab. Estradiol (estrogen) 26 pg/mL FSH 5.0 mIU/mL LH 12.2 mIU/mL These are the ones they have done. What does this mean?
865758 tn?1285952904 Previous to that my OB/GYN diagnosed me with low estrogen. My estradiol level was 42. When my endo doc ran the TPO antibody test he also checked my testosterone levels and they have come back high. Does the thyroid cause all these other imbalances as well? My endo suggested peri menopause because of the Hashimoto's and I have all the symptoms but afraid that it is just the thyroid messing everything up.
Avatar m tn I recently took some blood tests which show normal levels of IGF-1, Prolactin, Testosterone, Estradiol, but low levels of Luteinizing Hormone and low levels of Follicule Stimulating Hormone. Does this indicate anything?
1287560 tn?1272216521 Hello, just wondering if any of you lovely ladies know much about hormone levels, mine have come back but my gp is off till next week-anyway I am 41 years fsh 7.1, LH 1.3 eostrodiol 147, underneath the receptionist said it said "no action required" so I am thinking these must be normal?
Avatar f tn I am 53 and have been in menopause for over a year. No oeriod in 10 months. I have recently gained about 8 pounds in the last two months, change in bowel habits, sore breasts. Just been feeling that my period is coming but it doesn't. Called my doctor to check my hormone levels. My estradiol went from less then 15 to 454. Not on any hormone therapy except for OTC Estroven. Hot flashes have stopped maybe because my estrogen has gone nuclear.
Avatar n tn I am a healthly 41 year old male. My primary care doctor believes in checking hormone levels as a matter of routine. That is, she checked my hormone levels merely as a part of my annual pyshical. All serum levels in my basic chemistry panel, CBC plus differential, thyroid panel, and urine analysis were normal except my estradiol. It was 84 with a lab range with an upper limit of 54. My testosterone was normal at 630 and my DHEA was normal at 265.
Avatar n tn My husband and I are TTC our 2nd baby. No luck for 6 months. I had hormone blood work testing on Day 2 of my period. Tested for FSH, Estradiol, Progesterone, Prolactin, and TSH. I need help understanding the implications of my results which I think indicate an imbalance. I do not have a doctor yet, I just had the test done and sent to me. I need to know what these #s mean, in terms of our odds for conceiving/treatments. Please respond if you have any info. Thanks.
Avatar m tn Dhea(NL) 458ng/DL Ref range142-1410 Testosterone, total (DSL) 346Ng/DL Ref range 190-1037 Estradiol (DSL) 32 PG/ML None given Cortisol 14.8 Ug/DL None given The doctor told me the numbers were in normal range and it is not a problem. I know that my testosterone is low for my age. I plan on losing excess weight and see what happens from there.
1651832 tn?1301690605 When I was using it back in the years from 2003-2006 the estriol portion of my script for bi-est was small (I think it was 80% Estradiol and 20% Estriol. I switched to another hormone provider and unbeknownst to me the provider switched the script on me to a 50-50 blend. I could not figure out why I was feeling poorly. I also had an immediate weight gain (bad enough that I have to constantly watch my weight... this was not pleasant). I was bloated and uncomfortable.
Avatar f tn I want enough estradiol in me to make sure I can string a sentence together, avoid depression, have a sex drive, have better word retrival, have strong bones, less moodiness, have good heart function, no cramping in legs (the worst when I am low in my estradiol)... no foot problems (yes... when estradiol was too low for a few years...bad doc's advice... yuk,... I ended up having to have surgery on both feet).. no joint pain... I could go on and on and on.
1386249 tn?1303092096 I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?
Avatar m tn FSH enter the blood circulation and stimulates the ovary to release Estradiol (E2) So this pathway explains at least in part the low Estradiol, but the interesting observation is the continuous feedback loop- at the end of this pathway where Estradiol turns off the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone when it reaches the hypothalamus, in order to start the Estradiol release cycle all over again!
718868 tn?1230730029 Does anyone know of any other type of hormone I should ask my physician about, as I am getting very weary of being this age and unable to do very much from my body being so tired and weary. Thank you for your time.
Avatar f tn I have sypmtoms of hypothyroid, adrenal and hormone imbalances. Avatar f tn To the point now where these symptoms are all the time now not just the two weeks before my period. I have sypmtoms of hypothyroid, adrenal and hormone imbalances. I had a hormone panel done in Oct. 07 the results where Low out of range estradiol .7, okay progesterone 135, okay ratio 193, Low testosterone 4.9, low DHEAS 4.9, okay morning cortisol 6.7. I retook the panel and added the complete cortisol work up 7/29/08 results are 1.7 estradiol, 107 progesterone, 63 ratio, 24 testosterone, 7.
Avatar f tn Is TSH the only thyroid related test that was done? TSH is a pituitary hormone, not a thyroid hormone, so doesn't necessarily correlate with actual thyroid status. What about Free T4 and Free T3 (actual thyroid hormones)? If those were done, as well, please post their results and reference ranges so we can see where they fall within their ranges. Do you take all of the NP at the time? What time of day do you take it?
Avatar f tn Ranges can vary a bit by lab. However, they should not be radically different. Estradiol, estrone, and estriol are forms of estrogen with estradiol and estrone being the primary (and maybe only) systemic forms of estrogen. My lab's ranges show a max non-pregnancy and non-menopausal value of estradiol to be 498 pg/mL and estrone 268 pg/mL. Estradiol can exceed 4300 in the first trimester of pregnancy. And post-menopausal levels are less than 54 and less than 65, respectively.
1418198 tn?1483277496 I hope I font sound foolish, but what is ESTRADIOL and what does it mean if your levels are low/high???
Avatar n tn Hi Vicki, I just have a second (off to work and no computer at work) but I wanted to say that I did a quick search and found that the patch you are on is in fact a bioidentical estradiol, which, in my opinion, is the only way to go...
