before i left the dr gave me a script for estradiol and told me that my cervic liner was a bit thin and they like it to be a little bit thicker when iui's are the treatment and that my blood work was going to be reviewed and then i will get a call to let me know the dosage that i need to use for the gonal and let me know if i am to start this script... well i go a call and they called my cell and left a message just stating the gonal and nothing was mentioned about the script estradiol...

I take Vivelle-Dot lowest dose--.025. I feel fine, but my breasts are sore. They never were when taking the estradiol pill--.05/day. There's a patch available that states it has the lowest dose necessary to protect against osteoporosis (Menostar). I looked at the data, but it doesn't match with what they say the dosage is. Does anyone have any information about this (this is, does Menostar have a lower dosage than the patch I'm using)? Thanks!

The title pretty much says it all! My estradiol dropped from 155 to 78 in two days...but in those two days 2 follicles on my right side grew from 10mm to 11mm. Why would my estradiol drop with growing follicles? My RE did up my Follistim dose.

The change in cervical mucus I did not notice. However my doctor prescribed estradiol at the same time with my 150mg of Clomid. The estradiol helps to create more of the beneficial ewcm. I also did the 150mg of Clomid with no IUI. The side effects at this high of a dose were terrible for me though... Ugh!

My gynecologist (my ex-gyn since my surgery) prescribed the highest dose Vivelle-Dot patch and it was a dismal failure. The only benefit was a well lubricated vagina yet I still had absolutely no desire for sex (still don't though). I swear every little bit of the patch's estrogen was going straight to my vagina and nowhere else!!

I either insert them vaginally or let them dissolve between my cheek and gum (transbuccal). And I use a higher dose of 1mg. My Rx is for 2mg but since I don't take them orally / swallow (no first pass through the liver), I cut them in half and only take 1mg. The use of only 1/2 pill makes it dissolve faster too.

I am taking Crinone gel for infertility, have been taking for 4 months days 17- end of cycle. I am also taking clomid and estradiol. You want to make sure you are at the optimal (I cannot repeat that enough) dose of estradiol before adding anything else. If one does not have a uterus there is usually not really a need to use progesterone but some women do use a tiny amount after making sure their estradiol is at the optimal dose (you'd need a blood test to determine that ... but in the range of 100 - 120 ng/ml (I will have to check on those initials.... cannot remember how it goes... ml/ng???...
