estradiol and uterine lining

I got pregnant while using estradiol patch in preparation for an egg freeze the following month. Doc thinks the estradiol helped thicken my uterine lining which made implantation more possible for me.

t have PCOS, but I was not ovulating regularly. I took 50 MG of CLomid and then was on estradiol supplements to increase my uterine lining as it was way too thin.

Estrogen is not associated with an increased risk of any type of cancer (except endometrial/uterine). Studies that compared estrogen-only HRT with combine HRT showed an increased risk of breast cancer for combined but NOT for estrogen-only.

I'm on CD12 and endo lining measured at 5mm. I was given Estradiol to take for the next 3 days. My IUI is scheduled for this Wednesday. Will my lining be thick enough by then? My RE said they like to see my lining between 6-8mm.

Hi Ladies, I went in for my follicle check today, and there are a few growing (day 12) but my uterine lining was just over 5 mm so it was measuring a little thin. The nurse wanted to put me on estrogen for the next couple weeks to try and build up the lining. I am on 2 mg of Estrace (actually the generic is called estradiol) which is inserted vaginally. It's just a little pill that I am supposed to put in my vagina I guess. Anyone else taken this before????

Progesterone is to keep you from shedding your uterine lining, and aspirin is to help the embryo with implantation, but if it is really hCG I do not know why that would be. You might check the third one to see if that is really what it is.

Estradiol is an estrogen supplement. It helps thicken your uterine lining. Why is he giving you hCG injections?

I am doing IVF, so it can be done with a thinner lining.... my lining started at 4.8 I think, and at time of transfer it was at 8mm. This took a few weeks to get to, but it worked. They had me on lupron until my lining was thick enough... so you can do ivf. some other ideas are... put a heating pad on your tummy 20 minutes on 20 minutes off for a while. this increases the blood flow to the uterus, see if you can find the raspberry LEAF tea... this also comes in tablets...

Every time I've been pregnant, I've had period cramps a few days before my period normally came, and like you said, progesterone really mimics pre- menstrual symptoms. Plus, I used to really document every cramp and twinge, but after review, I found that I had the same exact symptoms before I got the BFPs as I did when I got the BFNs! Needless to say I stopped documenting things.

Hello girls :) I had my follicle ultrasound today. I think my uterine lining was an 8. Is this too thin? I was on clomid for the last 2 cycles and I'm worried about my uterine lining getting too thin.

What is a good way to thicken the uterine lining. My lining my last two cycles have been 7mm then 5mm. I was on clomid both times, and my RE has switched me to Letrozole. I'm going on vacation this month so won't start a cycle till October. I heard baby aspirin will help, but not sure if this is safe.

She said that the thickness of the uterine lining is all unnecessary hype. She pointed out that with an ectopic pregnancy the egg implants in the fallopian tubes and there's no lining there at all. I thought this was interesting, but don't know how valid it really is. Good Luck!

The tech said my uterine lining was .8 (I think), which was normal because I just started my period and I still had a lot of "sloughing off" to do. I am nervous now about my FSH. The nurse said they want that number 12.5 or lower. But on a website I read it said my number was "good" but not "excellent" and another site said my number was in the danger zone for my ovaries not to work. I know the internet can be a little too informative on some things.

Hi. Dh & I are in our 3rd year ttc. We both checked out okay, but so far, no luck. My only issue is that I have a t-shaped uterus & so my RE won't put me on meds that could increase the chance of multiples. It's too much of a risk. Anyway, this past cycle I had an u/s on cd12. My RE measured my uterine lining & I can't remember how thick it was, but she commented that it was thin, but that I had a few more days for it to thicken.

I recently had fibroid d/c and she put me on estradiol for 30 days with progesterone the last 14 days.. I got my period one day after i stopped the pills,,, that was CD48 i believe.. but on my 3day bloodwork fsh 4 and progesterone perfect..

) Be aware also that Clomid can thin your uterine lining & if it's too thin, an embryo won't attach. I learned this after stopping the Clomid! Your doc might also check your progesterone & if it's too low, you could use progesterone supps from O (ovulation) to AF. They will lengthen your luteal phase & thicken your uterine lining. She did a vaginal ultrasound. She said everything, including my uterine lining, looked normal. I asked her about cervical stenosis as I have had a LEEP (including cervical canal) but she said at least the ultrasound looked normal. She said it looked like I ovulated,and I have eggs, etc. She expected my endometrial lining would be too thick or too thin after not having had a period for so long, but it looked normal/medium thickness.

I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.

What is estradiol? Estrogen? If it is estrogen, this is used to thicken the lining of the uterus. I don't think this should continue to be taken. My doctor has me stop this on day 15 of my cycle. If it is progesterone, then yes, 12 weeks.... but depending on why it was prescribed. I would be checking with your doctor asap, as he is the best one to answer this.

My doctor said that estradiol my help thicken mucus and help with pregnancy...first of all...it has killed my sex drive..I know I'm on a small dose, but i just looked up side effects and it said BIRTH DEFECTS PREGNANCY CATEGORY X. Why would he give me something like that when I'm ttc??? I've only taken three doses, but I'm stoping it. I didn't have a test come back and say that my E-2 levels were low or anything.

When the lining is too thin, doctors call it "uterine insufficiency," I think. You might try that line of inquiry.

This past Friday I had hysteroscopy and a D and C. A first for me. Anyway, may husband told my the Dr. said I had a very thick uterine lining and they sent it off for biopsy. He also said he did not see anything to worry about, well I was told that several time before my other biopsies came back. Anyway I am sitting here wondering if Oral cancer can metastize to the uterus? Does anyone know if that is possible? What exactly is the problem with a thickened uterine lining?

he said for example sometimes they implant in tubes or outside the uterus and theres not an ideally thick uterine lining there. so he said this is the best hes been able to get me to respond.

today went in for cd12 exam to chec follies and determine if there ready for trigger shot and iui.. they said good news is u have 3 follies on right 18, 16 and 16 all fused together though.. and 2 on the left 20 and 16. bad news is my uterine lining didnt grow any it's still only a 3.. has any one had this problem or no one anyone who has achieved and carried a p[regnancy to term with this thin uterine lining.
