Avatar n tn I am a 25 year old female, I had a saliva hormone kit evaluated with testosterone, DHEA, estradiol, and progesterone, also progesterone/estradiol ratio done. The results came back as this, Estradiol- normal Progesterone- Low; 47.2 (range of 127-446) Ratio of Progesterone to estradiol - 33.0 Low; (range of 200-600) Testosterone- 83.5 High; (range of 6.0-49) DHEA- 366.7 High- (range of 106-300) I can tell that i have way higher 'male hormones' than the women's hormones but, why?
1386249 tn?1303092096 I need some feedback on my hormone levels since this hormone testing is new to me. I haven't heard from my OB, but this is what my Progesterone and Estradiol levels are according to my family doc: tell me what you think ON CD10 taken February 24 Progesterone level is 0.7 Estradiol level is 1.71 What this means...I have absolutely no clue. I tried reading on it, and it seems as if I should not have tested on CD10. I should have tested on CD 3....is this correct?
216278 tn?1308861082 I am almost 37 years old and doing a hormonal profile this month (b/w every other day, basically!!) I had Estradiol draws pre-o, and now Estradiol and Progesterone draws post-o! On Peak +3, my Estradiol was 70 (went from 104 to 323 to 70) and my progesterone was 5.8. It is only 3DPO, but I am trying to get an idea of whether it's a 'good' number or not - Any help will be appreciated!!!!
Avatar f tn In the past three days my beta increased from 186 to 534, but my progesterone and estradiol both dropped. Progesterone went from 93 to 73.3 and estradiol went from 520 to 503. Should I be concerned? I'm 15 days post-transfer. Thanks.
Avatar n tn Well, the doctor who did my transfer told me to take 2 estrodial per day and 3 prometrium per day and shot of progesterone every other day and I wasn't due to go back until my pregnancy test 10/7. However, I was unhappy with several lapses in care that I received along the process so I switched and they immediately started doing my blood levels every 3-4 days. I guess it helps them to keep your hormones where they need to be to support pregnancy.
647365 tn?1292472212 Your levels all look great! Both estradiol and progesterone (which lets you know that you ovulated) are at great levels! Good luck!
Avatar n tn Tested for FSH, Estradiol, Progesterone, Prolactin, and TSH. I need help understanding the implications of my results which I think indicate an imbalance. I do not have a doctor yet, I just had the test done and sent to me. I need to know what these #s mean, in terms of our odds for conceiving/treatments. Please respond if you have any info. Thanks. Results for FHS, Estradiol (E2) and progesterone are below. FSH = 1.97 E2 = 174 Progesterone 1.
691236 tn?1311199974 I had my trigger shot yesterday at 9am. My doc prescribed estradiol, prometrium (both in pill form) and progesterone suppositories for the next 2 weeks until my pregnancy blood test. Anyone else on these and do you know why? My doc just said my hormone levels were very low and he wanted to me take these to sustain the embryo if it does implant. Any knowledge/expereinece you have is greatly appreciated! Thanks girls!
Avatar n tn Having said that, there is also a school of thought that the only thing needed is Estradiol and very little progesterone.. to keep the levels from fluctuating, which is what you are experiencing (in my opinion... I am a teacher, not a doctor, but I have been going through the 'hormone jungle' for some time now). Take a look at my profile page, particularly the entry, or comment, from this week on my journal page (bioidentical hormones) and try to get some of the books...
513660 tn?1217171919 I just got the results back - Hcg is 5,784, Estradiol is 694 and progesterone is 28.2.. Are these good numbers?? I am on estradiol pills (8mg a day) and 1ml of progesterone (shots) a day. My first u/s is Friday and I am repeating blood next week. Please tell me if these are good numbers.. Thank you!!
Avatar f tn I read that both of these hormones compete with each other for binding sites and that progesterone can help with this. My Dr thought I was already taking progesterone and immediately prescribed it to me from a compounding pharmacy. I have been applying of the progesterone cream each night for 2 weeks now. I feel a sense of calmness. But my energy level has not improved and the total weight gain since starting BRT goes from 16 to 18 lbs. I put in a request for my Dr to increase the Armour.
Avatar m tn Hi Guys, i'm basically 32, morbidly Obese, Height 5'7''/67inches, Weight 245 Pounds/110KG, Finally I went to see a renowned Endocrinologist of my City, he suggested me to do couple of blood tests, results are as below: ➢ Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) Test for Diabetes (Blood glucose) – 6.3 nmol/L = eAG of 134 ➢ 2-Hour Insulin Glucose Challenge Test Results: CPS-2HOURS (Cohas) = 5.06nmol/L Insulin (2HOURS) = >2089 pmol/L ➢ Insulin1 – 370 pmol/L ➢ CPS = 2.
Avatar m tn I have PCOS and for the last couple months, I was introduced to Letrozole. Up until this month during my Follicle check, I was told that the cycle was not as successful as the others. My RE prescribed me Menopur and took 2 vials the following day = 150ml. After taking the Menopur, I was asked to get labs done a day later. My FSH 6.2, my LH 11.3, and Progesterone 0.5. I'm waiting on my Estradiol results. Can someone please tell me these mean and what they should be during each cycle?
Avatar f tn My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results: FSH first test: 6.2 second test: 6.8 LH first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was second test: 7.9 Estradiol first test: not sure, but normal apparently second test: 52 I'm a little concerned about the estradiol. A few sources I've checked online have said that an estradiol level of above 50 can mask a high FSH. Is this true?

Avatar f tn Normal day-2 estradiol, LH, and prolactin. Normal day-20 estradiol, progesterone, 17-OH progesterone LCMS, testosterone, and DHEA-Sulfate. I don't know what to make of all this. Could I be entering perimenopause despite all my normal hormone results? Could this just be an age-related hormonal change that is not perimenopause? I feel like at 30, I'm too young to be experiencing all of these strange hormonal issues. Or maybe there is some underlying disease causing all of this?
Avatar f tn Originally my doctor said i would be on progesterone for 8 weeks but I only ended up taking the progesterone shots and suppositories from 2/20 - 3/12. My levels were high enough that I was able to switch from shots to pills. I'm now taking ESTRADIOL 2MG TABLETS (2x a day) and PROMETRIUM 200MG (3x day). It seems to be working. I now only have blood draws every 2 weeks.
Avatar n tn My reproductive endo says I am low in estrogen (I am 32) so I am contemplating some sort of hormone replacement therapy (Vivelle-dot and prometrium). My estradiol levels have come back repeatedly on the low end (in the 60's or 40's) but my FSH levels are normal. My last estradiol was taken on day 12 and it was 40 which is low but I don't have regular cycles. Honestly, I don't know if the low estradiol would cause the weight gain...
Avatar f tn Your question about your FT4 and FT3 levels dropping made me do some searching. I thought I remembered seeing this info previously and it made me wonder if your BHRT might be a contributor. "When estrogen levels are high, the liver produces high levels of thyroid-binding globulin (TBG), a protein that binds to thyroid hormones in the blood and prevents them from being taken up by the cells.
Avatar f tn FSH 23.3 LH 8.3 Estradiol 56.7 Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks in advance.
