estradiol and iui

Well ladies, I don't don't what you think of my tests, but here they are: 2005 - conceived my son, first natural IUI, March, tests beforehand taken on day 2 showed: estradiol 160, with FSH of around 6 2007 - conceived my daughter October, with first IUI using meds, tests beforehand taken on day 2 showed: estradiol 253, with FSH of 6.9 Now, I'm trying for baby # 3. Have had one unsuccessful IUI, and one cancelled IUI, as I produced too many mature follies.

My estriodol level went up slightly to a whopping 184 on Friday cd13. The doc wants me to come in on MOnday for another check to see if I am ready for (trigger shot+ ) IUI early in the week. I had four follies on cd 12 measuring 12,11,11,9, etc. and the dr sent me home to grow a few more days. I hear stories of people having really high estriodol levels and mine is just under 200 with 4 follies. I am concerned this e2 level isn't strong enough for IUI and and I don't want the dr.

I had moderate endometriosis (caused heavy painful periods)so I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, d and c, and another HSG and the following month and any other time it has been tested, it has been in the 5 to 6 range. So even though the drs wont say one way or the other in my situation I think my endo. was making mine high. I havent researched it or anything but I have no other explaination except that. Maybe something to look into.

just got my u/s and bloodwork and it came out that i have 2 tiny follies to watch over..but still low estradiol..im on Gonal f pen in preparation for my IUI this month i hope these follies will grow until friday..or else my RE will increase my GOnal f dosage from 75iu /day it will inc up to 100iu..huh! so expensive..any one experience this..pls give me more insights..if Gods permit this will be my first IUI..hoping this follies will grow enough for iui..

My level was 225 - 4 days before iui. Day of iui I had 4 follicles - 2 at 17.5 mm, 1 at 15, and 1 at 14. My RE thought 3 were mature. My progesterone level 5 dpiui was 23.63. Thanks for any info.

I am 40 years old and going to attempt IUI. I had a successful IUI 2 1/2 years ago resulting in a healthy baby boy. I had some prelim labs taken at what I reacll being mid cycle probably around or close to cycle day 16. My labs are: Estradiol 211, FSH 13.7, LH 55.6. Should I be concerned about these labs? Are they too high? or are they good for a 40 year old. I need some assistance please. Than kyou.

I always experienced very sore breasts when I was on hormones, specifically estradiol and clomid. After ovulation/IUI was always the worst for me, I used to walk around holding my breasts up for a long time after taking off my bra just to avoid the pain. On the other hand those could be pregnancy symptoms, lets hope that is it!!

Last month no surge on opk but on ultrasound she had a good follicle so we did the IUI. Has anyone had success with preg when estradiol is high? If so we would love some advice.

t need meds, but for my daughter I was on 100iu puregon, and two days prior to IUI, my estradiol level was 5673, and I had six follies. I think that level was quite high though for IUI. This cycle just done, I had three follies of 19mm, and smaller ones and my estradiol was 1984. I read somewhere that if you have ONE dominant follie of at least 18mm, then your estradiol should be about 300-900.

This was my first IVF cycle but my ovaries did not respond well at all to Gonal F 225 IUs and my Estradiol level was 41 on my 5th day. So the doctor increased Gonal F to 300 IUs and my Estradiol level increased on my 10th day to 192, but I still only had 3 follies. :( He cancelled this cycle of IVF and wants to go with IUI instead. The chances are slimmer but I do have 3 follies and just maybe one of my hubby's lil soldiers will penetrate one of my stubborn lil eggs.

I'm 22 years old and my husband and I are ttc our first child. My husband had a vasectomy 10 years ago..(he's 10 years older than me) so one of our options was to do IUI with a donor. I've had all kinds of tests to make sure I can concieve. I even had an HSG done. Everything was good. However, we have had 5 IUI's and none of them worked. I am getting worried that something is wrong because I've heard after 6 IUI's that it's a slim chance it will work.

so, there's a tendency that my doctor will cancel this cycle? i'm so worried...tomorrow will be my follow-up check-up with my doctor, but i'm really so confused w/ this result. On my previous ivf treatment, ,my estradiol level was 21 pg/ml, and this cycle it's >20 pg/ml...what was your estradiol level when they cancelled your cycle?

Hi ladies, I had my first IUI cycle in August, and my Re prescribed estradiol because my levels were low and my lining wasn't thickening. Well, the IUI worked (yay!) and the nurse I talked to said that I was supposed to stay on the estradiol and prometrium until I was 8 weeks. I mentioned that estradiol says it can cause birth defects and to not take it if you become pregnant. She said I was ok because my levels were low to begin with.

I went to a specialist- he said because I dont have so many eggs that he have to go agresive - gave me 150 iu Bravelle injectebles, estradiol, DHEA, and baby aspirin. After for 4 days I have to go for sonogram to see how I am responding. I want to do IUI. If anyone had IUI with Bravelle? Please, I need to know how it works!! I am 36, DH is 45.

I had another E2 test (Estradiol) yesterday which turned out to be 219.5 , my doc said that it was getting better and doubling so he suggested I have an IUI TOMORROW !!!! SO HELP ME GOD! may be Femara takes a longer time to get mature eggs. The real cause of my miscarriages is that I have a blood clotting disorder and I'M having a treatment for that hopefully it works out this time! I'm really nervous so wish me luck ! My RE is highly regarded in his field and he told me at my first appointment that he is not even going to consider Clomid for me because of my age and he would just start me off on Menopur but he asked that I take a repeat FSH/estradiol and I did and the results were worse than before so I don't know what his game plan is going to be. I am just leaving it in Gods merciful and miraculous hands and EXPECT to get pregnant and have a baby.

been trying to have a second baby the past 3years on off cycles of clomid, IUI among others then 4months ago discovered low amh which means low ovarian reserve and my RE didnt recommend IVF but i wanted to try so he gave me a short intensive course of merional and only 1 follicle appeared with low Estradiol level so he cancelled IVF and did IUI 2weeks ago and just got my period so it failed.....i have read about DHEA and bought it...

I took follistim on cd 3-8, then ovidrel on cd9, iui on cd10 and iui on cd11. I don't think you are supposed to take the injections anymore. Call your dr.'s office, there should be someone on call to answer your question though.

m supposing it was around 3000 or 4000, as it was 1447 two days ago. I trigger tonight, and go in for IUI on the 18th. Wishing all of you ladies here buckets of baby dust!!

t that bad but truly hope that you can do the IUI and have it work without them. I have been trying for 9 months and just completed my first round of IUI. Waiting now to see if I had any success. Hoping so cause I'm just about financially finished! Best of luck!!

Someone told me here ysterday that IUI was only like $200 w/o insurance, I just called and they said basic IUI starts around $300. It made me feel better, maybe it will make you too!

Well, I got a good report today. My follicles are as follows: 1.8, 1.9, 1.6, 1.6, and 1.4. I trigger tonight and go in on Tuesday for my IUI. My estradiol level is 1359, so they say I'm ready. Do you think I have a good chance at conceiving this month.

I know that my clinic likes to see fsh under 9 and estradiol under about 250 to start a cycle .. that means your body is at baseline and the meds will work well the size of follicles depends completely on if you're doing a natural, stimulated iui or stimulated ivf cycle .. if it is natural or iui they generally like the follies to be early to mid 20s but with ivf they like them to only get to 18-22, but that's not until retrieval/ovulation time ..

The first two months I was on injectables through Day 12/13 and then had IUI. The third month I started out with high doses, went down a couple of days and then went back up. That month I did the injectables through 15/16 and then had IUI. The third cycle finally worked---my body just needed a few more days on meds to get those follies growing big. If you do not have success this month, maybe next month they can start you out on a higher dose and then cut back....
