Hi all I'm on day 4 taking cipralex after switching from escitalopram my question to you all is my anxiety is getting worse by the day and having to take a zopiclone to sleep at night will my anxiety slowly fade in time as I take the cipralex daily no other side effects to report just the heightened anxiety any info on this would be great Thanks Jessica

I had already switched to Escitalopram (Lexapro), before I noticed the date on the bottle indicated it was 6 months old at the time of taking it. I don’t know what the expiration time is for the capsules but it could’ve just been a batch gone bad. No matter the reason for these side effects, I am doing better on my current med anyway and don’t plan on reverting. Hope this acid reflux powder burp story can help!

I been taking Citalopram for several years and intend to keep on taking it however I have recently come across Escitalopram and it is almost half the price here where I live. When googling it, it seems to be part of the same family. Do you think I would be able to easily change from one to the other?

I've got purlex(escitalopram ) 5mg subscribed by my doc , and alprazolam 0.25 mg for panic attack , i was on zoloft for 1 day !!!!!but my doc stop it because i had a very strange side effects like tachycardia ,become nervous my doc said it was Serotonin syndrome ! so thats why he changed the zoloft to purlex(escitalopram ) , am very scared to take purlex :( and any one heard about deanxit ? can i use it for panic attack ? thank you .

t. These two meds are very similar. Celexa came first, and when the patent ran out, they played with the structure, took some things out, and made Lexapro. Reportedly it has fewer side effects, but who knows if that's really true? I found Celexa easier to take myself, so it just goes to show. But the core of both drugs is the same. For me, the one drug that really put on the weight was Paxil. For others, it's different.

Just wondering if anybody here has ever taken Domperidone and Escitalopram. It says in the Domperidone leaflet not to take the two medications together, and some quick research online says there is a severe interaction between the two medicines. You may want to check and see if there is an expiration date. Even if the expiration date is past, there are still okay to use as the expiration date is for the packaging. Good luck.
