Avatar f tn Erectile dysfunction is not as uncommon as people think in young men with 26 % of men under the age of 4o reporting it. We encourage you to speak to your doctor about it. While masturbation can possibly impact this, there are other underlying causes you would need to rule out. So, being able to talk to your doctor is important. With the high number of males who have the issue, they will not be terribly surprised and will hopefully have suggestions for you.
Avatar m tn This sound like performance anxiety erectile dysfunction. It has nothing to do with your masturbation practises. It should be very easy to fix. Dr Andrew Rynne. http://www.doctorrynne.

And I believe there is something just approved over the counter for men and erectile dysfunction. I'd personally not use this if I didn't clear it with my doctor. https://www.health.harvard.
Avatar f tn t have a serious medical condition, then you have 2 choices for ED 1) Anxiety 2) Overuse of Internet porn 3) Combo of both The inability to get a full erection with a real-life sexual partner is called copulatory impotence. Chronic erectile dysfunction is a rare problem for men under 40 - or at least it wasn't until Internet porn arrived. So - have you been consistently using Internet porn? If so, the it might be the cause.
Avatar n tn I did that search and found this from the May Clinic - ______________________________________________________________ Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability of a man to maintain a firm erection long enough to have sex. Although erectile dysfunction is more common in older men, this common problem can occur at any age. Having trouble maintaining an erection from time to time isn't necessarily a cause for concern.
Avatar f tn On a related subject, men with cirrhosis commonly have both lack of libido and erectile dysfunction (ED) because the liver is part of the system for processing both male and female hormones. Men and women have a balance of male and female hormones. With advanced liver disease the balance of hormones changes thus producing characteristics of the opposite sex. As the liver fails the processing of hormones also fails. In fact men with cirrhosis have higher amounts of female hormones.
Avatar m tn Masturbating to Inteernet porn can eventually cause erectile dysfunction. If not with porn then the ED shows up with real women. We have seen it again and again on our porn recovery forums. Just a note, excessive masturbation to porn keeps many young men away from the real-life relationships. Can your relate? Here are two excellent presentations, by a science teacher, on the effects of pornography on the brain. They are non-religious, non-judgmental, and science based.
Avatar f tn Hi:) Erectile dysfunction in young men is actually a very common thing. The main causes of ED are either anxiety, stress or depression. Less commonly that can include past sexual trauma, sexual abuse, or suppressed sexual feelings. For most men, the issue is not being able to well control the nervous system. In other words, they aren’t able to go into ‘relaxation mode’ during sexual activity. They may get nervous. This makes it very tough to get or maintain an erection.
Avatar m tn hi im 18. im not sure if this is erectile problems. I remembered when i was young, about 13, i would easily get an erection without much stimulation and i can also maintain it for a long time just with mental stimulation. But, right now, i have troubling maintaining an erection without physical touching my penis or physical stimulation. i can maintain my erection only if i keep on physically stimulating my penis by rubbing it or "playing" with it is that a health issue?
Avatar f tn I think night work can change the entire rhythm of the body. And actually with regards to erectile dysfunction, they've looked into it, studied it and yes, erectile dysfunction IS more common if you are a night shift worker. https://medivizor.com/blog/SampleLibrary/erectile-dysfunction/do-shift-workers-have-an-increased-risk-of-developing-erectile-dysfunction/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32736945/ https://www.webmd.
Avatar f tn org/erectile-dysfunction-is-a-major-cause-of-peyronies-disease/ I do think some men, with advanced peyronies disease (curved penis) can get a painful erection. So, it's a little complicated. Have you seen a doctor about any of this?
Avatar f tn After 5 days of use, it lowered sex drive and made my erectile dysfunction way worse. I just need to know if this is at all permanent. Has anyone else had experiences with this? I only took it for 5 days so im not as worried but I just dont know at this point. Any help is really appreciated.
Avatar f tn It is probably safe for you to take Cialis. However, your erectile dysfunction is more likely related to performance anxiety since this is the commonest cause of ED in young men. Cialis may give you back your confidence.
Avatar n tn A lot depends on overall health, but by age 70, about 15% of men experience complete erectile dysfunction. About 70% will have experienced mild or moderate ED. (https://www.uwhealth.org/urology/erectile-dysfunction-ed/20537) You posted in the Prostate Cancer forum. Have you had prostate cancer? That could certainly be a factor, or the treatment of it could be. The meds you take have been shown to help some men with ED, but a lot depends on the cause of it.
Avatar n tn I am 35,I noticed I had erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation for the first time over 10 years ago. It is still almost impossible to have a hard one that can last. Firstly, I was told by doctors then it was probably pschological. It continued and I was given priscription drugs(sildenafil up to 100mg) which worked temporarily and in a lot of instances unsatisfactorily. I have had a partner for 8 years that has been on & off.
Avatar m tn This is rather basic, but you might wear briefs instead of boxer shorts for underwear. Then, always try to keep your penis pointing up toward your belly button throughout the day so that any erections will not cause bends or other harm to come to your organ.
Avatar m tn Studies have shown that over 80% of erectile dysfunction (ED) is due to physical causes. Two risk factors for ED include poor diet and smoking. Smoking depletes many nutrients and particularly mentioned are vitamin C and vitamin E. Smokers with the lowest vitamin C levels have the fastest disappearance of vitamin E (known as the "sex" vitamin). I cannot find anaemia specifically mentioned as a cause of ED however.
