Avatar m tn Yes to lack of sensitivity. The guys on our forums experience it also. Two things cause lack of sensitivity. 1- too much friction or vigourous masturbation. 2- desensitizing the brain. So as your brain heals, you will bea ble to get erections from normal everyday things, and your penis will gain sensitivity. Did you visit that thread and find my first posts? Avatar m tn You get that way as you sleep. Stops you urinating as you sleep. The whole picture would lead to the lack of sleep. Depressed over not been able to get your hard on and the worry would all lead to no sleep, etc, etc. Good therapist should be able to put you right as far as your thinking on the matter is concerned.
Avatar n tn That said a lot of people put a lot of stock in anxiety and overthinking being the cause for these kinds of things - if you make any progress on it, let me know.

As of Jan 2015 I noticed the sensation of my penis was gone, I could not get any erections at all whether at night, sleeping or in the morning. My penis would not respond to touching. Went to see a doctor October 2015 and got blood/urine test done also referred me to a urologist.

Avatar f tn So I'm starting Cialis 5mg a day as needed for erectile dysfunction due to side effects from Metoprolol. I've cut down my dose of Metoprolol to about 37.5mg a day. I have no lack of interest, just my penis goes soft without manual stimulation. If I stroke it, fine, but if I'm having sex, for the last year or so, since I started the meds, it will periodically go soft without constant stroking which is highly annoying. I'm only 33 too.
Avatar m tn Please help! I'm 28 years old and have been masturbating frequently for as long as I remember (13 years), on average I'm guessing at least twice a day sometimes less or more. The problem I am facing over the past (8) years or so it has been very difficult to achieve an erection. I've had weak/soft erections on a regular basis, while mastrubating. I am a Virgin. I am worrying about my post marriage sexual relationship because of this erectile dysfunction.
Avatar m tn Being on certain medications, having diabetes or other illnesses, having anxiety problems, drinking too much alcohol, lack of sleep are just a few problems that can cause erectile dysfunction. Make an appointment to see your doctor to run some blood tests and check your prostate.

Avatar f tn t the frequency or lack of frequency of masturbation that made it better, but the way I did it. Think of it as making love to yourself, rather than just masturbating. Just like with a partner, it's not all about finishing, but about enjoying the process. Spending an hour or more without focusing on your penis alone, made the climax better and bigger. Getting and loosing an erection during the process actually seemed to help also.
Avatar f tn However, persistent, long-term problems getting and maintaining an erection hard enough to have the type of sex you and your partner want is known as erectile dysfunction (ED) or impotence. ED does not occur because of loss of interest in sex (libido), lack of strength or manhood, sterility, lack of hormones such as testosterone. It is not a natural consequence of aging. It is due to psychological reasons, relationship problems or drugs, rather than any other physical causes.
Avatar f tn Numbness may be caused by an injury to a nerve, pressure on the spinal nerves/ peripheral nerves, lack of blood supply to an area, and other medical conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, diabetes, use of certain medications or vitamin deficiencies. The usual side effects of Azithromycin include diarrhea, chest pain, nausea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, dark urine, headache and red skin rash. Prednisone, on the other hand, may increase glucose levels, insomnia, or euphoria.
Avatar n tn ll need medical help. But this is not something to just let continue. Lack of sleep is detrimental to our physical and mental health, and the cause needs to be uncovered as soon as possible. Oh, and boost his nutrition during this time of stress on his body due to poor sleep.

Avatar n tn Actually, on a serious note, there have been a number of articles and studies linking HCV with erectile dysfunction. In addition, the tx also has a very negative impact on erectile function. But, the disease itself often impacts erectile function. Here are just a few links: http://www.advisemen.com/182/hepatitis-c-and-erectile-dysfunction/ http://www.natap.org/2002/august/081402_1.htm (a pretty solid study) http://www.hivandhepatitis.com/hep_c/images/083002b.
Avatar m tn Hi. There are two issues to address here: 1. No morning erections: this may indicate a physiological issue. Generally, men experience erections upon awakening as well as at other times of the day. Think about this for awhile and ask yourself if you are aware of erections upon awakening--not just in the morning. If you believe you have NEVER had erections upon awakening since you were a teenager, it's time to see a urologist for a thorough exam.
Avatar n tn However, there can be various reasons as to why he might have a low sex drive and erectile dysfunction. Is he depressed? Is he on any medication? Is something bothering him? How long as this been going on for? It could just be something psychological that is causing this. Whatever the cause may be, the first thing he would need to do is see a doctor and take it from there.
Avatar f tn I think night work can change the entire rhythm of the body. And actually with regards to erectile dysfunction, they've looked into it, studied it and yes, erectile dysfunction IS more common if you are a night shift worker. https://medivizor.com/blog/SampleLibrary/erectile-dysfunction/do-shift-workers-have-an-increased-risk-of-developing-erectile-dysfunction/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32736945/ https://www.webmd.

Avatar f tn Hate to say it but yes, usage of adipex can contribute to erectile dysfunction. This is a physiological connection to ED. You'll probably go back to normal if you stop taking it. ED is listed as a common side effect. https://www.drugs.com/answers/does-phentermine-affect-sex-drive-436380.html And unfortunately, ambian is also linked. https://www.healthline.com/health/erectile-dysfunction/ed-and-ambien Kind of puts you in a quandary.
Avatar m tn It may be helpful for your sexual partner (if the two of you are comfortable with this) to be involved, also. The use of, and choice of medication is certainly one that your therapist is in the best position to decide. It sounds as though your problem will not be cured quickly and I would urge you to not panic and try to set reasonable expectations for yourself. You might resubmit your question to Dr.Epp in the sexuality and Relationship forum to hear another opinion. S.A. Liroff, M.D.
