m also allergic to several medications (antibiotics) and my doctor said I might need an epipen when I take them to keep me alive until I get to a hospital. Just about all antibiotics close my throat. But I thought epipens contained epiphenephrine, and was told by a friend that it's bad for those with a heart arrhythmia. Has anyone here with PVCs had to use an epipen for an anaphlactic shock reaction, and if so, was it safe for the heart? Thanks.
This weekend was horrible, I had two reaction to the water, on friday it was with rain, and had to give me 2 shoots of Epipen, and than I was better but shaking badly from the Epipen, and yesturday just by sweat I did a reaction and again the Epipen but just once, and I didnt even went to the hospital after, his that dangerous if I dont go???? And his it dangerous I have to many shoots?????
Hello I have severe reactions from insect stings especially bee stings. Its so bad that 1 or 2 stings will put me into anaphylactic shock. I have over 5000+ PVC's a day and the docs say it is a supposed benign condition. (which I do not believe). My wife has never had a pvc or palpitations. Anyways, I have to carry around a epipen everywhere I go. Last year I was working in my back yard and was stung twice, once in the face under the eye and once in my arm.

In certain cases it can be used to stop local bleeding.
Alternatively, the same drug can be given by the local health care provider or you need to go to emergency department.
Angled up has straps and they are in it longer than a bassinet. Eventually you will want a crib or pack n play.

I have fraternal (mine are girl & boy twins) they've always had their own stuff.. but they don't care.n they sleep w/ their twin, on their twin, by their twin, w/o their twin etc. For us, it's more convenient they have their own stuff.. Congrats on your bundles!!
So we have a pack n.play that has a bassinet for our little guy to sleep in in our room for a few months before we move him to his crib. With my due date only 3 days away I'm worrying myself that he shouldn't sleep in it all the time.
I had originally wanted to do a bassinet/crib set-up, but my mother told me they were a waste of money and told me to go with a pack and play instead because the baby will grow with it and later on it would be a play space for my daughter. However, recently I've seen research that shows babies who sleep in pack and plays for extended periods of time develop back problems later in life.
My due date is June 1st so I still have some time to go but considering this is my first pregnancy I'm already thinking about my hospital bag. What do you guys think is essential to pack both for my son & myself? I'm new to this and I'm pretty nervous even though I still have half of March all of April & all of May to go.
I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself. Back to the hospital.
You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.
I just set up my baby's pack n play yesterday that we finally got in. It's actually a lot smaller than a normal sized pack n play. It has the bassinet on top. When they are too big for that, you can take it off and let them use the bottom half. It's light weight. Less than 20lbs.. I love it. I have two other pack n plays my other two children used, but they are so big... The one we got came from Walmart. (Online). It's the graco portable lite weight travel crib.
I have carried an epipen for the last 11 years for my son and Thank God we have not had to use it. But I was wondering if anyone did have an experience like this and had to use an epipen. Or if you have any information on urticaria pigmentosa? ( I know alot about it but I always would like to know more. Please share any information you may have or experiences you incountered.
Yes, I take Rebif as well and I don't have any injection site problems. I just started 3 weeks ago though. But I take it at night right before I go to sleep. If I do it during the day, I get realllllllly sleepy. Hope everything turns out ok!
i used a urine gender test whilst pregnant with my first at 13weeks and it said boy.at my 19week ultrasound the lady was 99%positive it was a girl which shocked us as they are meant to be over 80% accurate.
